THE SPACE Two Bedroom townhome located at 1460 Ocean Blvd, unit 101, which is just under ½ mile to the most popular Coast Guard Station Beach Entrance. For a shorter walk, go directly out the back of the community through the gate to Driftwood Drive Beach Entrance.
Upon Entry is a fully equipped kitchen with electric appliances and breakfast dining area overlooking scenic salty marshes. Off the kitchen is a laundry room with a washer and dryer for your use. Down the hall is a half bathroom and family room (TV) with additional dining and access to the shaded back porch by stately moss draped Live Oak Trees. This is the perfect place to wind down after a long day at the beach and grill.
Bedroom Layout - 2 Bedrooms, 1 Full Bath, Sleeps 5 - Upstairs King bedroom with a new mattress (Nov. 2024), TV with hall bathroom with combination tub/shower - Upstairs Twin bedroom with 2 single beds and shares the hall bathroom - Upstairs Sleeping nook – open on the landing 1 single size sleeper chair (ideally for a small child)
Guest will have access to the entire home. Parking is conveniently located near the home and spaces are clearly marked for the home. No more than 2 spaces are available here, as this is a small community and there is not overflow parking.
There is an outdoor shower to rinse off from a day at the beach.
Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals during your stay, along with a washer and dryer for your use. Any additional kitchen supplies you may require are responsibility of the guest during your tenancy.
A starter supply of products to include: 2 rolls of paper towels in kitchen 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom 1 starter supply of hotel quality toiletries per bathroom 3 dish laundry detergent pods
We're located mid-beach - halfway between the St Simons Pier Village and East Beach. This stretch of beach is not tide dependent and has plenty of walking distance in both directions. We're walking distance to local restaurant favorites like Crab Daddy's, Barrier Island Brewing, Fiddlers, and Porch.
MORE INFO Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.
Pets: This home is dog friendly for dogs 25lbs or less with $250 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host puppies < 1 year old or breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

Amazing beach access
The rental was clean and neat, the decor was soothing and calm, and it was utterly perfect for the vacation we wanted to have. We were able to walk out the back gate, down a short road and were on the beach! Our small dog could be rinsed off using the outdoor shower feature, and once we got the lay of the land, we walked down to get bbq from the local place on the corner- again with our corgi Radar along for the adventure. The rental is cozy for a smaller family, so probably not for you if you are wanting to spread out- but frankly, it was great for our needs and desire to hang out as a family. Alex was our rep from Lighthouse, and he was responsive when we had a few questions about logistics. Oh, and there were so many towels! We discussed it on the way home and would definitely stay here again if we head back to this island.

Bummed
Our family has come to SSI multiple times in the last few years and this time was a bit of a disappointment. This home was old and didn’t seem well maintained. The one and only shower was not shown in any of the listing photos and we knew why as soon as we arrived. The bathroom fan also didn’t work well and the entire bathroom was dripping with water after a ten minute shower. The dishwasher top sprayer was no longer connected to the top and needed to be pushed up to shut the dishwasher each time. When we got there we noticed there was not coffee pot for the coffee maker. When we notified property management they said they would get us a new one the next morning. The next day we hadn’t heard back and reached out again and were told one was left at the front door. A simple text to let us know it was there would have been helpful. Simple things like spices that were listed in the listing were not actually there. There were only two beach towels and we had to search the house to find any other non-white towel and then wash them before you we used them. Small but helpful thing would be to have power strips run to either side of the beds for easy charging for phones etc. As mentioned before we’ve stayed on the island before and have paid similar nightly rates and have had way nicer accommodations.
