We didn’t have any problems per se, but a few minor issues. There were some random odds and ends missed by the cleaning crew (like a cup under the edge of the couch and the top sheet being on upside down/backwards). There weren’t enough bath towels and the ones that were there did not seem super clean.
The location in the complex was very convenient. However, we’ve stayed at OceanWalk about ten times over the last few years and the complex and many of the units feel very dated.
The front pool was nice but the hours are not super clear. One side of the sign said the pool closes at dusk, while the other says the pool closes at 10 pm. It’s possible we missed the opening time but my very quiet seven year old wanted to get one last swim in the morning before we checked out and apparently that wasn’t acceptable as some older gentleman sent my daughter and my husband away from the pool saying it wasn’t open yet. I guess it’s ok for the pool area to be kept open all the time (not locked with the number pad gate) but not ok for one little kid to swim for twenty minutes on a Monday morning.
The check-in process was also a little bit iffy as I didn’t receive any information about a key code or checking in until I requested it from the property manager on the day of check in.
Also, I know this is pretty standard, but make sure you bring paper towels and toilet paper!
Generally, a very no-frills stay but it got the job done for a Father’s Day weekend getaway.
