A great stay!

We had a wonderful 5 week stay at Maison de Pegomas. It is a really lovely home just beyond the centre ville of St Remy. Julien was very helpful with whatever we needed and his recommendations were great. Location was perfect with the house being only a 5 minute walk into town. Anything further and you can enjoy using the bikes provided. This added so much to our family experience as the children loved it and it was a great way to get around. The pool was the perfect size and temperature and it was greatly appreciated as we had temperatures of above 35 for at least two of the weeks we were there. It was an added luxury having the cleaner and gardener there each week to keep the house well maintained over our long stay. Thank you for a very memorable and delightful stay Julien!

Wonderful

My family and I just finished our vacation in Provence and had a truly wonderful time here at this house with in St. Remy. The house is lovely and charming and the grounds are beautiful. There were toys and books for our young children, bicycles for all ages (and seats for our young children), and other games. I only wish we had more time here. Julien was incredibly nice and responsive to the few questions we had. I highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the Provence area!

The perfect vacation

The location is perfect - an easy stroll or bike ride into St Remy. The house was well equipped, comfortable, cozy (we stayed in winter) and felt just like home. Julien was a fantastic host: easy to contact and extremely helpful. We look forward to coming back in summer to enjoy the pool & garden.

A one week friends visit

We all agreed that this is a great house and we had a great stay. The location is perfect – – so quiet and private and just a short walk to town. Communications with Julien were easy and he answered our questions about appliances very quickly (And without making us feel like we were stupid for not knowing how to operate simple appliances 😎). One of the reasons we chose this house was due to the high ratings from previous guests, and we absolutely agree!

Great location

Nice gated property, just a 5-10 walk into the town center. Quiet neighborhood. The separate building with bed/bath worked out well for us, as the other three bedrooms were side-by-side. One ensuite bathroom; one shared bathroom with tub/hand-held shower. All located at one end of the hallway. Nice outdoor space with shaded area and pool area.

A jewel!

Our stay at Julien’s home was perfect in every way. The house is wonderful, the pool and outdoor areas are lovely and peaceful. The short walk to town makes this home a 10/10. Julien is willing to help with any of your needs. We will be back!

The house was beautiful and easily large enough for our 6 person party.. the pool was lovely as was the outside sitting area. We loved the easy walk to town for shopping and restaurants … really had a fantastic stay and hope to be back…

Beautiful Sanctuary in the heart of St. Remy

We loved this house!! It's nestled into a quite, safe neighborhood with only a 5 minute walk into lovely St. Remy with all of it's shops and cafes. The house opens up with several french doors to a private yard/ garden full of flowering plants, outdoor dining table and a nice sized, heated pool with comfortable loungers. We enjoyed that each room had a king sized, comfortable bed including bedding. We didn't know that the house didn't come with TP or paper towels so make sure to pick those up at the store before arrival. Julien was very responsive to all of my needs and questions. Would love to stay here again!

The Perfect Place

Julien's place was a perfect to stay in St Remy. Just a few minutes from the city center to restaurants and shopping, groceries and more. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and the beds were super comfortable. Loved the back yard and look forward to using the beautiful pool on our next stay.

La Maison du Gecko is an idyllic oasis located a short 10-15 minute walk to the center of town and the perfect home base from which to explore all of Provence. We stayed for one glorious month and found the home to be updated, spotless, spacious, impeccably decorated, comfortable, and outfitted with every amenity necessary for both short and long-term stays. The well-maintained, heated salt pool is simply wonderful. Julian is a welcoming, gracious, responsive, and superb host. His thoughtful gestures, such as mailing a forgotten, left behind ring and eyeglasses to the US, showcased a level of hospitality that extended beyond our departure. Nestled in the Alpilles in the heart of Provence, St. Remy has much to offer with shops, restaurants, art galleries, historic sites, and walking & biking trails. The Wednesday Market is not to be missed. Julian’s home was an ideal choice for us. Highly recommend!

Family Holiday

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house for a special family holiday - the accommodation had everything we needed and was spotless when we arrived . There are so many interesting villages to explore nearby and we very much enjoyed walking easily into Remy for the market and meals out . It was then lovely to come back to the house to relax by the pool and in the evenings to eat under the beautiful arbour . Julian responded quickly to any queries we had and we would very much recommend staying here .

Tasteful and well equipped home

Lovely stay at this conveniently located and thoughtfully decorated villa. The pool is delightful and there’s a shady table for dining outside. Julien has selected very comfortable and stylish furniture, and the art is an unexpected bonus! For our stay, check in and checkout was “hands free” which can actually be more convenient than a rendezvous on a long travel day. Cleaning during our stay was much appreciated and Joana was very helpful. A good find!

Highly recommended, a fabulous stay

Many, many thanks to Julien for our wonderful holiday. We highly recommend this villa. The property was as described & shown in pictures. Key things we loved: - the property is stylish but still comfortable, everyone relaxed so easily - wonderful pool and garden, fully private and not overlooked - St Remy town massively surpassed our expectations, it is a BEAUTIFUL town, a short walk away (under 10 mins) , small & contained but large enough to have plenty of places to visit and enjoy. Lots of restaurants and cafes, sorting food for the family was easy. Big supermarket a 10-ish minute walk away or a 2 min drive - easy check in and departure, Julien's instructions were clear & easy - property was well looked after, with cleaners & pool cleaning during our stay - modern & well stocked kitchen The whole family agreed the property was our favourite of all our summer holidays this far, and we plan to return

Wonderful family vacation - fabulous spot in St. Rémy

My husband and I stayed at this property with our four kids (ages 11 - 18) and our parents. Everyone had a great time and there was plenty of room for all. There is a great outdoor table, and totally functional kitchen, and a great pool. Everyone loved relaxing in the pool after our days of sightseeing. The house is about a 12 minute walk from downtown St. Rémy. If we ever get to take a trip to St. Rémy again as a family, we would love to stay at this house again.

A great home-base for relaxation and for enjoying Provence

We were delighted with our stay. The house was quiet and comfortable and the beautifully maintained swimming pool was fantastic. The walk to the town center took less than 15 minutes and other sites are easily reached by foot as well. You will need a car to explore Provence and Les Alpilles more widely. We enjoyed our daily outings and made sure to return home in time for a refreshing swim. We would love to return someday.

Beautiful Mas du Pégomas

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday here. Quiet, private, yet close to town (just right for wandering in to town and not to far for carrying shopping). The house is homely and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and the grounds are well cared for. The pool was a very agreeable temperature; we enjoyed it all!

Very nice Provencal home in a very good location.

The Provencal home is very well-located within walking distance of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Well-appointed kitchen, as well as outdoor cooking areas, which were great. The yard was very nice and the pool well oriented and protected from the wind. Would highly recommend this house to a family or group of friends looking to experience life in Provence.
