Beach Stay

This property is exactly what we were looking for. It is close to the beach and all the restaurants we like. The host was responsive and we plan to stay here in the future.

Great location

We love IRB, and this property was central to everything we like to do. All of the rooms were very spacious. The beach is a short walk, and many restaurants are also within walking distance. The items that weren’t as advertised I assume were the result of hurricane damage, which is understandable.

Christmas in IRB with Relax at Mack’s

Thank you, Janelle and Mack, for hosting us for our family Christmas in IRB! Your home is beautiful, and it has everything we could have needed and more. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings watching the sunrise, grilling out back and gathering around the fire-pit in the evenings, and short walks and bike rides to the beach and to our favorite Kooky Coconut for ice cream. You were a lovely host, excellent communication, and the place was exactly as pictured and described. We visit IRB 2-3 times a year. This was our first stay at Relax at Mack’s, but definitely not our last! We hope to return again soon. Highly recommend. Thank you again!

Nice size property but needs update and improvement

I’ve been going to IRB every summer for a few years now and have rented different properties and i can say that this is my least favorite one. The place needs a lot of updating and organisation. The vents have to be cleaned, I have asthma and this concerns me. The furnitures need to be replaced, bed mattress is uneven. Kitchen small appliances needs updating: no blender, the freezer doesn’t make ice. Back deck and garden are good size bit not usable or private not a nice place to hang out. The beach chairs and umbrellas are all mismatched and just old and worn out simple fix head to Costco get four chairs and two umbrellas job done

Everything You Want

We stayed here for a couple of days in July 2024. It's super close to the beach. It's on a quiet street. The duplex is tastefully decorated and gives off a beach vibe putting you in the mood the second you walk in. It was clean, spacious, had all the necessary beach gear including bikes and the communication from the host was great. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the Tampa area.

This duplex was very clean and well-equipped. Plenty of kitchen accessories as well as laundry room and items for the beach such as chairs, towels and umbrella. Beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful yet there were several restaurants/bars within a 5-10 minute walk, some with live music at night. Best of all the beach is just 2 blocks away and it's very easy to drive to other nearby beaches. It was also very easy to communicate with the owner of the property. Very nice stay!

Awesome beach access!

Clean, happy duplex stocked with beach goodies, plenty of towels and comfy beds only a couple streets off beach! Kids road bikes, and we appreciated the wagon and beach toys, too. Hosts were lovely folks and so welcoming. We will be back and the Mack's!

1st time Vrbo experience

As a first time Vrbo user, the experience with Janelle at her Indian Rocks Beach property was excellent. She was always quick to reply to any questions I had leading up to the trip, and the check in process was simple. All aspects of the property was exactly as listed, a great overall experience; we plan to return.

I would recommend this duplex. The home owners were great to work with. Any time I had questions, they were quick to respond. When a minor issue arose, they were on their way to fix it immediately. Thank you for everything you did to make our stay pleasant, nothing went unnoticed.

Absolutely Perfect

This accomodatiin had everything we needed.. and a few we didnt know we needed! Walking distance to the beach, and close to everything! The host was attentive and wonderful! The little one had his first game of foosball and he is HOOKED! We will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you for having us!!

Great location and place

This place is at the end of a dead end road but easily walkable to the beach. Very peaceful. There is an outside shower, and nice space under back deck as well as on the deck. In the garage is washer and dryer, and ping pong table, and other games. Unit is up one flight of outside stairs. Beautiful place and well equipped. Once upstairs, everything is one level. Owners are super nice and helpful. AC went out and they got someone to repair as quickly as possible (over July 4th holiday). We would definitely stay again. Quiet location and beach access has no public parking there, so quieter section of beach.Walking distance to ice cream and food (15 minutes).

Loved, loved, loved it! Can't wait to go back.

I don't want to write a good review because than everyone will want my new favorite rental, (but that would be unfair.) The rental was as advertised. Short walk to the beach, beach wagon, chair, umbrella and towels. Nice king size bed ( the only drawback was the foam pillows) but I think that is a Florida thing. There is a Kurieg, french press and coffee maker depending on your needs. All the pots and pans, dished you need. I especially love that there was a snack basket and water in the fridge and spices, etc, left by previous tenants . There is also sun tan lotion etc, in the bathroom cabinet. I would go check it out first before you go to the store to see what you really need. We walked to the local restaurants every day. (Crabby Bills. PJ's Oyster house, Jake's Cantina, etc) I went to the beach every day as well. Low key for us and very happy with the WiFi and communication with the owner was top notch. We ordered Door Dash a couple of nights and just watched a movie. It was on a quiet street, there is an outside deck to sit and read. We did not use the fire pit, but it was there with chairs. It was clean and comfortable. Good working AC, loved the ice cube holder inside the freezer, you could get as much ice as you needed. We will definitely book again.

spacious, quiet spot near beach

The location is in a quiet spot a few short blocks to Indian Rocks beach. About 10-15 min drive to Clearwater Beach, 45 min to Tampa, and 30 min to St Pete. Large bedrooms and large living space. Had chairs, towels and wagon for spending time at beach. We had a short stay, so we didn't take advantage of the spacious kitchen- but we were happy to find the heat worked as it was in the 40's outside our first night.

The hosts ensured that our warm welcome began with snacks and water, and the house had everything we needed during our vacation (condiments, cooking spray, napkins, tissues, soaps, even k-cups!). We arrived well after grocery stores had closed for the night, and a seemingly small thing was a huge plus for us, to be able to wake up and have coffee! There are plenty of linens, including thick beach towels. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the bicycles, and made good use of them to explore the area. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee and breakfast places, and convience stores within walking or biking distance. Of course, the beach is a quick walk too. There's an inexpensive trolly to head north to Sand Key, Clearwater, and further. The host was incredibly responsive when we reached out with a question or need (such as extra blankets as it was unseasonably cool). We highly recommend this property!

Great Condo

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this condo. We had no issues with check-in, the condo was clean and well-stocked. The walk to the beach was short and we discovered nearby new restaurants with great food. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location

We stayed at this duplex over Labor Day weekend. It's in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. The duplex was exactly as listed. Clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with the water. Janelle and her husband handled the issue and we're very responsive and apologetic, even though it was not their fault. They were able to move us to the other side of the duplex for our last night, which is just as nice! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for your hospitality... We look forward to our next trip!

Great location. Three minutes walk to beach.

The house offered an incredible level of comfort and the location was ideal. Location allowed us to walk to many restaurants, the beach, and small stores. All the rooms were clean and the house was stocked with anything and everything one might need. Host was lovely and communicative. No complaints at all.
