    Home Away from Home - Sand Dollar 204 is a SILVER rated two-bedroom, two-bath Gulf Front vacation rental located in Indian Shores. This spacious 2nd-floor vacation rental has a delightful décor and includes a private Gulf Front balcony with a view of our beautiful white sugar sand beach. Plenty of balcony furniture to enjoy magnificent sunsets!

    Vacation rental 204 offers a full size, fully-equipped kitchen complete with appliances including microwave and dishwasher, stocked drawers and you need to enjoy dining at home. Flat Screen Cable TVs in the living room and all bedrooms, telephone with free local US and Canada calls along with free Wi-Fi are also provided.

    Sleeping accommodations include one king in the main bedroom and 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. Both bathrooms offer single sink vanities. The main bath offers a comfort height toilet and a walk-in shower. There is a tub shower combo in the other bathroom. 204 has a Washer/Dryer, Central heat/air conditioning along with ceiling fans.

    The Sand Dollar Resort amenities include On-Site Front desk for easy check-in, Gulf Front swimming pool, sundeck, Jacuzzi, Private fishing pier, Volley Ball area, Charcoal grills, free parking, interior elevator system, stairs, pool restrooms and outdoor shower. Check-out maid service included. Bed Linens and bath towels are provided as well as beach towels.

    Maximum occupancy: 6 persons (including infants). 204 is a Smoke-Free Vacation Rental. Sorry, No pets. Limit two parking passes at check-in. No trailers, RVs or boats.

The balconies have a perfect view of the Gulf, condos are very clean, well furnished and comfortable. Also, they are larger than most rental condos and if you need anything to make your stay better the office staff is outstanding!

Pros: Lg spacious rooms, nice lanai with bar height table and glider, spectacular views, great beach, convenient location for shopping & restaurants, staff friendly & helpfulCons: dark and dreary bedrooms, furnace & hot water heater exposed in bedroom closet, ironing board cover 5" larger than board-Impossible to use, only 2 dish towels, floors sandy and dirty upon arrival.

Nice property - very nice pool, good location. Could use additional towels. Also, some of the bed pillows need replacing. Could use a few more kitchen baking pans. VRBO fees are too high.

Reviewer Comments: My wife & I are repeat renters at the Sand Dollar because of the spacious 1,400 sq foot condos thar are clean, updated and offer a spectacular seat in front of the Gulf of Mexico. You certainly can pay more and get less at a noisy area resort. My advise is: don’t overlook this hidden gem.

Enjoyable Stay on the Beach

The Sand dollar property is nicely located for beach and water activities as well as easy access to Tampa and St. Pete. The condo was clean and easily met our expectations. Property management quickly helped resolve one needed repair to the glass slider to the balcony, so future guests should have no problem with it. Some unavoidable noise from other's rolling luggage at times, but overall the noise level even with lots of families with kids was fine.

Also, key pads on condo door should have a lock feature/bottom or auto lock when closed... entering 6 digit code was a bit of pain when use to having door auto lock.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only thing that affected our stay was that it was "Beach Week" for irresponsible, disrespectful teenagers that live in the area. I would not come back this week due to safety concerns during this time. The management handled the situation as best as they could and were easy to work with. The condo was stocked with all that we needed and made our stay much easier. We would come back just not this specific week.

Not our best stay

Condo was clean but public areas not so good. Sofas, two chairs in living room and the beds all very soft. Power out one day but building mgr. got Duke power to turn it back on. Both bathrooms extremely small and windows in both bedrooms opened into hall. Barbara at the desk and handyman Dave both helpful. Have loved almost all VRBOs we have rented before but will look for another beach one next year.

Wonderful family vacation on the beach!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time doing a full family beach vacation and our first time with JCResorts. I was a little hesitant at first because I had never heard of them. But I am so glad I did. The unit was much larger than expected and beautiful! Beds were comfy, unit was clean, and the view was gorgeous. The photos here don't do it justice! We stayed for a week in October and the pool was perfect and the kids loved swimming in it. The beach is beautiful and not crowded like the more touristy spots in Clearwater. Lots of great places to eat within a 2-3 minute drive. The staff at the front were very nice and maintenance was super quick when we had a small issue with the cooling system. We definitely plan on coming back again!! Highly recommend!

Nice condo / poor check in & out

The condo itself is great and location is perfect for a family getaway with kids. Lots to do and and places to eat near by. Beach was not too crowded. The check in and out process was poor. Check-in runs from 4-5pm per email they sent. We got there at 4:15pm and waited in the lobby about 15 minutes before Holly(?) came to the desk to check us in. I was the only one in the lobby. She made sure to let me know we were the last ones to check in as if we showed up late. Check out wasn’t any better. I read the checkout instructions before leaving and was instructed to leave the keys in the drop box for early checkout. I got a call about 30 min later from Holly stating we didn’t return our rubber wrist bands and would be charged $80. I stated I read the info I was provided at checkin and it didn’t mention the wristbands, just the keys. She then told me she tells everyone at check in about the wristbands regardless of what the paperwork stated. I clearly should have taken notes at check in.
