  • Oh Nom! for whatever reason the dining room was empty when we walked in. The ambiance & service was charming enough (I particularly enjoyed them showing "Teen Wolf") & the sushi rolls were a great value--the veggie rolls are to be missed but hey we are in the south-->it's always a gamble when your vegetarian appetizer isn't fried :)

I booked 24 hours prior to arriving, slight change in travel plans!Tom was beyond accommodating and let us check in several hours early!The “villa” consists of 4 units, that back up to the Bay (sunrise) and across the street is the beach, to walk over and see amazing sunsets! Or just sit and relax!Our unit was #1With 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroomLiving room and dine in kitchen . Microwave, oven dishwasher, toaster oven, kurig with pods included.The outdoor living area is equipped with a variety of lounge chairsTables and chairs, a huge outdoor kitchen to include gas grill, TV, dock with more seating! (And paddle boards!)There is a shed that has beach chairs, coolers, beach toys (floaties, boogie boards, fishing rods, even a beach wagon, SPOTLESS!)There is also a wash machine and dryer including laundry pods.The amenities were impressive!Parking for one vehicle included.Since the outdoor area is shared space, you will be interacting with other renters, but that was not an issue for myself and 2 kids (16 and 23)Plus there is a lot of space and seating areas.Would definitely stay here again!(Walgreens, Publix, restaurants all within walking distance)

Loved it

Riley retreat was the perfect spot for our annual ‘girls trip!’ Four of us stayed and the place was perfect for us. It is cozy, but is exactly as presented on the VRBO site. Very clean and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beach access is super easy and Tom provides everything you need to spend the day on the beach - towels, chairs, coolers, etc! We really enjoyed and took at advantage of the beautiful property on the water in the evenings. Would definitively stay again!

Riley’s retreat absolutely lives up to the hype. This is a complete package that offers an intimate setting with the most central location around. All of the little details are meticulously executed in a way that leaves you feeling well taken care of and sure to book again. Thank you for the stay, can’t wait to come back.

Beach,Bay and Pride of Ownership

Suffice to say the past excellent reviews are correct. Sit on Bay dock in AM and watch dolphins. Walk 50 yds to Gulf beach and watch sunset in evening. Fully equipped kitchen. Excellent washer and dryer. Grill operates well. Just look at the picture of backyard on the bay. Note: The Apt. does not have a direct lanai or view BUT it is literally a 20 yard walk to glorious backyard with plenty of chairs, etc. Gulf beach has that west coast white soft sand with shells. Do this!

Amazing location and amenities!

We can’t stop talking about our stay at Riley’s retreat. It’s our second trip there and both times I felt welcomed, safe, relaxed, and well taken care of the entire time. I can’t recommend Tom and his gorgeous Treasure Island getaway enough. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Four weeks on Treasure Island

My husband and I had a lovely month staying at Riley’s Retreat. We had chilly, windy weather the first three weeks, but walked on the beach every day and explored the area. We found several good restaurants within walking distance, shopped at Publix which is only five or six blocks away. We got acquainted with Tom, Zul, and her daughter, Issa. They were all friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and advice in restaurants. The last week was gorgeous, it was truly a lovely retreat. Our family joined us for a few days, loved the property as we did. Highlights were the dock with its big comfortable chairs, the fire pit, the well appointed outdoor kitchen, the fountain, outdoor shower, and many outside seating areas. My family and I hope to return!

A True Retreat

My sister in law and I stayed here June 30 - July 6 and it was an incredible experience! The space was comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean with many extra amenities. The host was very generous and quick to respond to any inquiries we made and offer recommendations. (He even gave us a ride in his boat when he found out that our scheduled boat tours were cancelled!) The added bonus of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers and so many other things made it an even better choice when trying to pick a location to stay at when flying. The backyard was a private doc on the bay and the beach was a very short walk across the road. We decided not to get a rental for the week and didn't need one, everything you need is within walking distance. If you are looking for a laid back and peaceful beach vacation without crowds look no further!

This review could be a whole page about the wonderful, amazing, renewing experience at this place. So many extra amenities- the beach chairs and umbrellas were amazing. Our late check out because of flight times was greatly appreciated. I would come back in a heartbeat and I hope I get to soon.

Great getaway spot!

The space was clean, cute and relaxing. You can go out on the dock and watch the dolphins or go across the street to the beach. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunsets. Everything was provided and if we didn't have it Tom was quick to deliver it. Tom was quick to respond to any questions we had. Several spaces in the backyard to relax or grill out or build a fire. Would definitely return!

Great location for beach and bay

Riley’s retreat offered a great location for super easy access to the beach - literally across the street while also being on the bayside. Tom is a great host we had a fire on a cool night and his outdoor bar and grill area is fabulous. We used it almost every night. Our room was very nice but I might recommend a white noise machine to help with the traffic noise at night. Great stay!

Great beach getaway!

The property was clean and inviting with lots of areas to relax and soak up the sun with a good book or take in the sunrise from the dock. The supplies provided far exceeded my expectations - we used the SUPs, fishing supplies with bait buckets, beach chairs, and more! The beach is just a few steps away across the street and it was no problem to run back to the unit if you forgot something. The outdoor shower was a hit with our family! While there were other guests there during our stay, it seemed the place was ours exclusively. Tom was a great host and responded quickly to our inquiries, often with local info to help plan our day. We had a great time and look forward to returning soon!
