We had a wonderful week at the Cycling Mermaid house! The host was extremely helpful, professional, and proactive. My family (including 3 kids/teenagers) has stayed at a lot of short term rentals over the years, and this one of the best we've experienced. The home had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels for the pool, and I really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar the morning after a late flight! The heated pool and video games were a huge hit with my kids, and the outdoor space was perfect for grilling and relaxing. I travel to Palm Harbor often to visit family, and will absolutely book this home again. Thanks for hosting us!

Perfect place for what we came for

My family and I came to celebrate my aunt's 75th birthday and it was a perfect location to host the BBQ. We had a pool for my kiddos to cool off in and enough space to enjoy the outdoor under patio for seating and when it got too hot, we went into the open kitchen area. The bedrooms were great and the beds were so comfy. :) Tara was great at getting back to me when we had a few hiccups but nothing that held us back. Would highly recommend! Thanks for hosting us. Safety First Pool! Excellent for Families

Nothing but 5 Stars for this review! This house is perfect for a family getaway with little kids! The fence around the pool is VERY sturdy and would be impossible to open by little ones. I liked that the gate automatically closed behind me, so that there was no way the pool would be accidentally open. I was at ease with the pool and my three year old because of how safe and secure it was. I was also happy to have the option to pay for the pool heater, as I wanted it to be extra warm for our daughter. We were super appreciative of the puddle jumpers, life jackets, beach chairs, cooler, sand toys and umbrella. Those items were great to use at the beach and was one less thing for us to buy/pack. We went on a bike ride using the bikes, the pull behind trailer and helmets. It was only a couple of minutes ride to the main bike trail which goes on for miles and miles. It was a great trail for a morning jog as well. We easily rode ten miles as family and passed a number of breweries and places to eat. The owner Tara is very responsive and gave answers almost immediately to some things we had questions on. The beds are all comfy and the couch is great! We enjoyed having indoor and outdoor seating for dinner and loved using the grill. This house was only 30 mins from the beautiful Clearwater Beach and about 15 mins from Dunedin, a fun walkable downtown area.

Family Vacation

This was a perfect place to stay for our family of 6. We have 4 children from ages 11-3 and it was a perfect fit. Everything we needed was at our fingertips and the child proof gaye for the pool was great for ourb3 year old. Stongly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

This home was absolutely perfect for my family’s Valentines Day Getaway and marriage proposal site. Tara went above and beyond preparing this home for guests, we had everything we needed our entire stay. I am very picky and am diagnosed OCD as well, as soon as I walked in, my anxiety from the drive was gone. The comfort was unmatched, the beds were great, and I have a sleep number bed at home. We hired a private chef to come during our stay, he was very impressed with the kitchen and the surprise bonus coffee bar! My grand baby was especially happy with the arcade games!!! My sons proposal was perfect and the photographer asked for the info for himself and his family as well. If your going to the Tampa area, this home is a Must have for your stay, because even my husband was happy, watching the news poolside! I give this home a genuine 10 stars out of 5 and we will definitely be booking again. Thank you Tara for setting the bar so high, chefs kiss. The Pinckney’s

Baby meets great grandparents

I flew in and stayed here with my husband, son, daughter in law and granddaughter. We came so my parents could meet their great grand daughter. The house was amazing. So incredibly clean and comfortable. Beds were great. The space was perfect for us to hang out and enjoy family time. Tara was an amazing host. We will definitely stay again.

The most accommodating host ever!

Tara is truly terrific. She was on top of every single item and answered every question within 15 minutes! The place has so many kitchen accessories unlike so many places we have been to previously... she has it all. Plus, there are towels, and bikes, and chairs... everything you need. The place has plenty of room to relax, but not really as much room around the pool area as we thought... but there is a covered area with a nice big table and reclining seats. The backyard gets sun all day, so the pool stays plenty warm. It's a nice spot to relax on a quiet street close to Tarpon Springs and to Dunedin...

Perfect Vacation House

My husband and I loved this property and so did our six children! Everything was exactly as pictured, beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of space for all of us! The biggest hit was of course the pool and soaking up that Florida sunshine! Check in was a complete breeze, and the house was immaculate. Great to have so many amenities such as towels, paper products, shampoo and conditioner and more. The close proximity to the beaches was also a huge plus! Our favorite was Honeymoon Island. We went there during the day and also for a couple of gorgeous sunsets. You just can't beat that - the setting sun, the crashing waves, and your children running along the beach. Then a quick 15 minute drive "home" to tuck them before another great day! Such a blessing!! We'd definitely stay at the Cycling Mermaid again!

Wonderful family VRBO!

Great home located in quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the pool as well as bikes & having close access to the bike trail. Was easy to get to beaches & parks as well. Everything you need!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Tasteful decor, good layout, comfortable beds, literally everything you could need in the kitchen - including coffee and creamer! The pool was a definite highlight, heated to a warm 86* - even the adults got in with no complaints of cold water (and we went in February!) The bikes are a great addition - we only used them once, on the last day of our trip, but I recommend taking them out on the Panellas trail - such a lovely ride! The home is close to grocery stores and restaurants, and a quick drive to Tarpon Springs or Dunedin. Tara was a fabulous host and was very responsive. 10/10 recommend!
