A perfect family spring break

We stayed here for our daughter’s spring break with a friend. The place was amazing! Absolutely huge condo with everything you could need. We walked to John’s Pass for all our meals. The host company was very easy to get in touch with. Such a fun place to stay!

A nice getaway!

Location is awesome

The condo was in a great location, right on the beach and on first floor so easy to walk back for bathroom breaks and food. Additionally, 'John's Pass' village is across the street which offers shopping, restaurants, bars, ice cream and more. Accommodations were nice... could use a new couch. Only complaint was there was construction work going on in the parking garage of the building next door which caused a lot of noise and dust. Might want to ask if that work is complete before booking.

This is our 3rd time renting Crimson 101 and fell that the unit is not being maintained properly, needs new paint, rusted metal closet doors, missing light bulbs, sticky floors, etc. The couches are getting old and need to be replaced.

The pool area was not very big. There was a door missing where the washer and dryer were which made it very loud when the washer was running. The condo was clean and the staff at check in and check out were very nice and helpful.

The only issues were the washer, dryer and the couch. The washer had to be reset every time we used it. The dryer would take four to five cycles to dry the clothes. The just looks nasty and old (threw a blanket over it).

overpriced for what is worth

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying for many years at the crimson 101. This the first year that I feel this place is overpriced for the experience. The ac unit does not cool more than 75 degrees. the refrigerator has 2 shelves that are being held with duct tape, the couch is so old that it really doesn't recline vey well. I love the location and that has been the number 1 reason why I have stayed there for so many years.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this condo and the location. The only thing that I wish was a little better was the size of the TV's in the bedrooms. Although we don't watch much TV, it would be nice if the tv's were larger so it is more enjoyable when you do watch. Being directly across from John's Pass is absolutely fantastic. Not having to get in a car, unless you just want to, for the entire week is great. There are plenty of restaurants and shops just across the street. The beach is beautiful. The staff in the office were very friendly. The condo is stocked with well. I have already booked for next year for 2 weeks!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just love the condo and it appears some effort was put into stocking the kitchen better. One issue we did have was most of the vents hand dust stuck to the ceiling and this is now the second year in a row that I have come home sick and I never get sick. I don't know if it was just the adjustment to the air being on full time or if the vents need cleaning but I usually do not get sick. Also we had an issue with the pool heater not working and the hot tub not getting filled and cleaned although the pool guy came and sat and did a puzzle book on 2 different occasions.

Reviewer Comments: We had stayed at Crimson before with great results.This time, not so much.Although they did provide us with advanced notice of the elevators being down and adjusted our fees accordingly, it had been nearly 8 months since we booked the trip. Seemingly enough time to repair the elevator. The pool was described as “functional”. It felt like we were swimming in a prison yard. It was surrounded by a chain link fence that appeared to be just leaning against the original fence. We also had experiences with a family who appeared to invite their entire extended family to grill out and party. There must have been at least 20 of them at a time. The music was played so loud that the entire front of the complex could not even sit on their balconies.On top of all of that, someone from an adjacent condo threw eggs onto one of our balconies as well as near the pool.I love the Madeira Beach area, but this was a rough one.

Beautiful oceanfront condo!

Lovely condo. Ocean front. Short walk to John’s Pass. Clean. Well stocked. Friendly staff and easy to communicate with. Pool not yet open but management communicated this prior to arrival and compensated with a discount on our stay. Gorgeous sunsets from the balcony. Only one negative, there was no hand soap anywhere. But that was easily bought after arriving! Will definitely stay here again!
