The pool was not heated, so it was a bit chilly for this time of year. The view from the balcony was AMAZING! Felt like the bathroom could have been cleaner (there was quite a bit of hair on the floor tile when we arrived). It was "missing" a few amenities we normally find in Vrbo's like papertowels, liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, dish sponge, laundry pods (they normally provide 2 for a weeks stay in our experience). Maintenance was very quick! I reported issues with the ceiling fan in the master bedroom and the shower head in the master bath and they were fixed within an hour. Great location to eateries and the beach.

We stayed here 12 days (Aug 1-12, 2025). The check-in process is annoying. You have to stop by another condo to get keys (that don’t even open/fit in the lock to the unit) and paperwork. Depending on traffic and construction, it can be a 10-minute drive at least. I’ve never stayed anywhere that makes you do that… inconvenient and lazy customer service, imo. The elevator was broken the first and second day and we were traveling with four young kids. We would have neverrr booked a third-story unit had we known we would have to climb those stairs with all of our luggage and groceries. It was brutal. My husband tripped going up the stairs with groceries and bruised his legs pretty bad the first day. Just unnecessary and not a great start. The condo is fine. Dated in a lot of areas, but fine. Clean for the most part. The glass shelf right inside the door has been rigged to look stable, but is not. Don’t set anything on it. The A/C is great. Wifi was slow. The showers are fine. You have a 6-digit code to get into the condo, which is fine. But it’s different from the elevator code which is also different from the pool code and beach access/exit code. Annoying when your hands are full of beach gear, etc. Kind of a joke to make people remember all of the various codes — I just feel like so much needs to change to make a stay at the Hamilton House condos more enjoyable. The mattresses are so bouncy and uncomfy. :( I changed a pillow case and found what appeared to be a huge spot of blo

Not the best year

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been vacationing at Hamilton House for over 20 years and many times I have also brought family and friends to this location. This was by far the worst stay, mainly due to the behavior of other guests. They were constantly loud - day and night. They kept bright lights strung across the balcony all night (there were 2 turtle nests directly in front of the property!) They had glass beer bottles in the pool, pouring beer out onto the pool's concrete apron. They kept their towels and floaties at the pool the entire week, and often allowed their children to be unsupervised in the pool. While on the beach, they played their music far too loud, making it difficult to relax. As far as the condo, a balcony window blind was missing (and not replaced), and the light over the sink was not repaired. Both items were reported in person to management on day 2. I have enjoyed the Hamilton House through the years, so I will return for one more time. Hopefully it will be the vacation paradise we remember!

Always next year....

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at the Hamilton House several times over the past 20 years, including the 301 condo. This year was a disappointment. The master bathroom light did not work, even though maintenance came to look at it. Apparently an electrician is required. Although the master bath had a vanity upgrade, still only one sink, and it is too high. The showerhead looked moldy, until I realized it was rust. The caulk in the shower is black. Not sure if it is stained, but needs replaced. The master bedroom blinds were not totally attached at the top. There was a huge wet spot from a leak in front of the living room balcony doors. Reported it immediately, as it appeared to come from the roof. No one came to look at it, and it may leave a stain. Unfortunately, there was also Red Tide, Covid-19, and three days of horrid rain and strong winds. Not my favorite year. But I would recommend Hamilton House and the JC Resort staff. Hope to return in a year or two!
