The cleanliness, Christmas decorations and charm. The master bed was very comfortable and the rooms were all very quaint. The location was ideal and the neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. Our son loved to fish off the dock and our daughters enjoyed all the shops! Only complaint is poor water pressure in shower and the tub is very small and drain opens when using it. Otherwise, fantastic home! Thank you!

Awesome Home, Located in the Heartbeat of Tarpon Springs

We were looking for a short getaway to meet up with Friends from Punta Gorda and landed at Tarpon Springs. While we had been through the area many times by boat hadn’t stayed on land. When searching for a home this one stood out, we found the home better than the pictures used to illustrate it. There was ample brochures and menus to use to help guide decisions, coffee (pods and grounds) to the day started with and a “Florida Wraparound porch” with rockers to enjoy each cup and conversation! AC worked great, the high ceilings and ceiling fans added to the era when the home was originally built! If you can book it, you will be a hero for your party, it won’t disappoint.One added bonus is the follow-up of the host John & Lisa to be sure your expectations are met!

Fit for a Captain!

We had a lovely three night stay at the Captain’s Quarters. The house is exactly as pictured. It is immaculate. Beautifully decorated. A kitchen full of cookware that we honestly didn’t touch. There was so much good food nearby we weren’t tempted to cook. Plenty of towels. Comfortable beds. Really everything you could ask for, including very gracious, responsive hosts. Thank you Lisa and John, for a very pleasant stay.

Another great time in Beautiful home & perfect location

This was our 4th year in this beautiful home that’s close to everything: Sponge Docks, Spring Bayou, Bike trails,Tarpon Ave shops & restaurant. Hosts are very responsive and great communicators. This is our home away from home every March & we can’t wait to return!

Great Stay

Everything was spotless, the house was well furnished and there were a lot of essentials (if you forgot ) like shampoo and after sun lotion…. Really close location to the sponge docks. John and Lisa were the nicest host anyone could imagine.

Amazing House in perfect location

This was our first time renting a vrbo as we recently sold our own second home in the florida keys and did vacation rentals for 10 years down there. Being previous vacation rental owners, we were amazed at and appreciated greatly the level of detail and thought that went into making this rental perfect for the guests. In addition, the house was immaculate and amazingly renovated. Everything needed was there and the location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere, including the sponge docks, downtown / pinellas ave, etc. The front porch was great for enjoying morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening. Everything was so well done, we could have learned a thing or 2 from Lisa and John when we were renting our house! Highly recommend and would definitely return! Thanks Lisa and John!

3rd Great Stay

Always an enjoyable stay at the Captains Quarters! Owners are very responsive and keep the house neat and clean with everything needed for a wonderful stay. The location is perfect being within walking distance to the Sponge Docks, Spring Bayou and restaurants/shops on Tarpon Ave. Looking forward to staying again in March.

Everything was perfect. Loved the home especially the added touches, late nights sitting on the porch and proximity to the Sponge Docks. Just left and we're already planning our next visit.
