Corner Beach Front Unit - Beach Place #412

  • #412 is a newly fully renovated, light, bright corner, beachfront 3 bedroom 2 bath condo and is waiting for your family vacation! This retreat has it all, including panoramic views, and proximity to all of the amenities the John's Pass Area of Madeira Beach offers. Also right outside your front door are beautiful crystal sand beaches, heated swimming pool, and BBQ facilities. Chances are, you will never want to leave!

    You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

    Enjoy a good book or just sit and soak in the sun from this one of a kind beach front escape! As with every SunHost property, linens, ample towels and pillows are all stocked, and ready for you upon arrival. This unit does offer a washer and dryer and free WiFi.

    When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to onsite 7 day a week management and maintenance to assist with anything you might need. This is a non smoking home which offers 2 assigned parking spaces. There is no additional parking at Beach Place.

    Across the street from this unit is popular John's Pass Village. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

    Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. It's 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This Gulf getaway has something for everyone, including dolphin watching, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

    Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

Magical

This place was magical - great balcony view to the beach! Location, location, location - restaurants, bars and stores walking distance. We had a great time and recommend this place highly. Will definitely come back.

Great Family Vaca Spot!

This unit location was great and had a beautiful view of the gulf! The building itself is located in a perfect spot right across from John's Pass and very family friendly. We found our 3 bedroom unit to be perfect for a family of 6 and there was so much space for family game night and cooking meals together. This unit is clearly a popular rental because there was quite a bit of wear and tear from previous guests on the unit, appliances, and kitchen features. Despite needing a good deep clean and some updating, we would absolutely rent this unit again!

I had to climb 4 flights of stairs with a heart condition in 90 degree heat. I called to report the issue and got a very rude person on the phone saying they were aware of the problem and “All you people need to stop calling “ - REALLY??!!Other guests I talked to got stuck inside!GET A NEW ELEVATOR!!

Great location, but dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and view wonderful. The condo itself was so dirty. All our feet turned black from walking barefoot in the condo. We realized it was because of how dirty the floors were. All but one of the beds were so broken in they curved every which way. We had a nice time with family and made due, but wouldn’t return. We had two units, one my brother booked and one my family stayed in. Their unit was even worse.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit has been beautifully updated but still needs a few things. The beds were uncomfortable, the bedrooms need curtains especially the ones near the front door. All air vents and ac unit need to be cleaned. Ceiling fans would make a great addition to all bedrooms. Many of the blinds were missing the wand to open and close them. Appliances were in good condition just need to clean the ice maker area. In the large bedroom there was a small pull out for a single sleeper, there were no sheets for it and the mattress was disgusting and full of stains. We also could not utilize the closet in the bedroom with 2 beds as it was locked.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was great with two exceptions. The floors did not seem to have been mopped. Our feet were black the minute we walked on the floors after bathing, even on the first day. The other issue was not enough seating, 412 sleeps 8 and only two chair on balcony and one cough and two not so good chairs in living room. Need two couches or a sectional.

Very Disappointed

The furniture was dirty, the paint was chipped, the woodwork was dirty, and the floors appeared to be never washed. Our feet were black from dirt. We spoke to management. Management sent cleaners to our condo. The cleaners were in the condo for approximately 30 minutes to reclean. In 30 minutes, they complained about the owner of the condo and pushed around a dirty mop. The condo was not maintained. We will never rent from Sun Host again.

Good View but tired unit

Uncomfortable living room furniture, master bath toilet runs every time its flushed and leaks, faucet in shower wont turn all the way off, huge issue was front door lock spins and hard to lock and unlock, no closet in second bedroom as it was locked so guests had no direct access to bathroom had to go in hall. Had to rewash all dishes and pans as they were not clean had food still on them.

Reviewer Comments: Location..location..location!!!All the public areas are well maintained and the personnel are very courteous.The unit was very clean but does show signs of wear. Both tub faucets leak. I was disappointed that I could not get this unit for the same time period next year because of an error by the office staff which forfeited my "first right of refusal" by reserving it for someone before the end of my stay. She did offer availability on 4 other units for the time same time period next year so we'll see if we like the one I picked. Maybe it will be an even better option.

The condo and the overall complex seem really run down and in need of repairs and clean-up. I am giving a 3 star because I am not terribly picky as I know beachside hotels are generally not 5 stars. I would recommend but only because it is so close to John's pass.

Paint by patio window /doors is falling down an doors have NO curtains or shades on them , gets very warm during the day. Out of 7 windows , 5 do not have a rod to open or close them. We had to wash dishes and pans b4 we used them, very dirty. Paper towel holder broken. Sand was everywhere! On floors, counter, and even in the fridge. Master bedroom closet , the mirror door does not work at all , we didn’t use closet. I have been renting there for 20 years and this was the worst . Even the balcony was dirty, no tables were wiped or floor swept at all . The first day I had to go to office because tub was backed ..... with sand ! Not at all happy ☹️

The property had plenty of room and the beach views were awesome. Love the location across from John's Pass. We arrived late and the office manager was very accommodating in making sure we got to our condo that day.

Great Property and Location; Unit not so Much

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd year in same unit. Location of complex and unit are perfect. Office staff is great. However, elevator needs attention. Each year the condo had more wear and tear, as expected, but even after submitting the same comments each year about issues, no changes. Futon legs in master BR broken 2 years ago. Now it's on floor, so you can't sit on it. Mold/rust in bathroom baseboards, to which we used bleach but it was too far gone. Broken balcony chairs. Living room rug desperately needs replacement. Mattresses are saggy, sheets are worn out. Television controls are impossible to understand. Cleaning staff did a great job, but what can they do with a unit in desperate need of a major facelift, ceiling water damage and paint peeling. We managed to still have a great time on the property, great grills, great security, wonderful pool, friendly people. Would love to return but for the price it's not worth it in it's present condition.

Bathrooms in condo both need new fans and chaulking around everything. Kitchen could be stocked better for a 3 bedroom unit and quality of pans etc poor. The dishwasher was broken the whole week due to waiting for warranty repairman. So doing dishes on vacay is not fun. Our feet were black walking around barefoot inside condo. Sign on deadbolt said “will lock in one minute automatically”, this did not happen. Although we were told no beach towels included, it would be very nice to have these available for guests that have flown in.
