PROS
- The view in this backyard is AMAZING. You can see the dolphins swimming in the bay in the morning. That was a highlight for us! You are paying for that view and the Florida charm.
- The house was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, the couch was comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
- The area is really cool- the house was located really close to a public beach access and to great restaurants and cafes.
- The management company was VERY responsive once your time started.
YOU SHOULD KNOW
- The A/C wall units make the house hard to cool during a heat wave. I won’t hold that against, but I would ask that the owners leave some instructions on how to best cool the house down. The A/C in the main bedroom was dripping water so loud it was hard to fall asleep.
- The house is older and in need of some updates. The cedar plank walls had a smell that takes some getting used to.
CONS-
- Our biggest issue was plumbing. I hope it was a fluke and this doesn’t happen to other guests, but all tubs and toilets stopped draining. The rental company was very helpful and they got a plumber there ASAP. But it still took a day. The shower in the 2nd room never drained fast enough to not fear flooding, so we all just used the main bath.
- The living room TV was broken when we got there. (Half the screen was black.) The bedroom TV remote didn’t have batteries either, so we were forced to unplug a bit more than expected.
- The outside furniture was pretty dirty
