Great week

I really enjoyed my week staying in 345 Surf Song. Great views from the balcony, check in was a breeze, condo was very clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Birthday getaway

Overall this was a great location right on the beach and across the street from some great shopping and dining. We love this area and have been visiting it for years. Unlike other condos, this one does not have "beach" equipment or beach towels but we made due. Will stay here again!!

Nice Condo

The condo was very clean and nice. Items were well stocked with what you’d need for an extended stay. Our only issue was with the rental company’s AC policy. But they did bring us some box fans to use while we stayed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nice, no plugs near the bed though to charge my phone. Could use a surge protector to make additional outlets available. The tea pot was very calcified so I could not use it, and the same with the coffee machine. They could be replaced, a Keurig would be nice, all hotels have them. None of the knives cut anything. The decor was nice and so was the view of the Gulf, from the side of the complex. Management was great to deal with. The sink faucet was kind of broken and needs to be fixed. Turning the TV on and off was difficult, had to play around with it. Other than that my vacation was great, will book a different unti for my next stay.

Ok stay for the area…but big some flaws

Property was close to a lot of restaurants and stores. Being in a populated place lots of restaurants are super overpriced for the quality of what you get. Property its self didn’t look clean. Grout was extremely dirty. Bed sheet/quilt top had stains on it. Towels were super rough and really small. Cookware was not in super great condition and also not non stick which just made more of a mess. The vents had a lot of black spots and black dust coming out. Patio door doesn’t seal well so the condon had lots of humidity and always smelled musty. Also the hallway leading to your condo is in a shared space that doesn’t air out and just smelled like super wet and moldy carpet. First day there they had an exterminator needing to come in to spray for bugs (poor planning on Sunhost end I guess) Wasn’t super great to hear from the guy “you don’t need to move your stuff, I will just spray behind the bed just so you all don’t get bit”. I did not see any bugs in the place nor bed bugs under the mattress or in the lining but was a bit concerning to hear. Was not really worth what we had spent. Will most likely spend our money elsewhere.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Got notified our condo was ready on our arrival date 09-17-24. Got to unit 345 and it had not been touched. Contacted the after hours on-call staff they worked to find us a unit for the night. So we got a place to stay that evening after traveling all day. Got our rented condo 345 the next day. Only issues with that unit was; not adequate toilet paper, kitchen faucet set screw for the handle missing, patio door does not function properly, and the TV instructions did not work. We love Surf Song and have been coming there for years but it seems things are not being addressed with the same concern as they once were.

Reviewer Comments: Vacation was great, this place is such a fantastic location with all of John's Pass right across the street and the amazing beach right there! Beautiful pool and a nice quiet place. We stayed in room 345 and the room is great and has everything you need. The patio doors need some work, we could barely get them open enough to get outside on the balcony. And the kitchen faucet was kind of broken. But other than that an amazing a room!!!

I caution people who visit the pool to be careful walking down the stairs into the pool as the steps were extremely slippery and a few people in our group slipped and fell. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

The owner is responsive to our needs when we need or find something. The only down side is the grounds company (NOT SUNHOST RESORTS). This new company is terrible, they don't clean, pickup and do general maintenance. They don't even water the plants which are dying.

Reviewer Comments: The short time we had prior to evacuation due to IAN was very nice but 3 nights(1 1/2 day was way to short, checkin was a breeze , the beach was great the room and balcony were very nice and clean, easy walk to Johns pass, we'll now see how well the insurance through redsky turns out, seems like they keep wanting more info, maybe they should watch the news once in a while, we will be back

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We brought our 11⁄2 year old son to Florida for his first vacation. My husband and I loved the quaint atmosphere of this resort. It is not over the top fancy, but the unit was extremely clean and as nice as the photos! We love the small resort atmosphere much more than a huge complex. Our air conditioner lost power on the roof the 2nd day of our trip and they had someone there to repair it within the hour and were super nice and professional with us. These things will happen obviously with the heat a humidity, and we felt the management staff went above and beyond to remedy the situation as soon as we called to alert them of the issue. Good parking, clean pool and beach, and nice furniture in the room. It was a little tight with the pack and play in the room since we opted for a 1 bedroom, but we didn't want him in the common spaces since he goes to bed early, and we made it work just fine. Would rent again and will definitely stay with Surf Song again as well.

It was so close to John's Pass with lots of shops, restaurants, and activities like jet ski's, fishing, etc. The access to the beach was spot on. We would definitely come back.
