This was a wonderful place for our St Charles stay - right in the heart of the historic downtown. Very clean and with nice character (exposed brick walls, tastefully decorated, etc). We had plenty of room fo the three of us, and our almost 12 year old kiddo LOVED having the loft upstairs to herself. If you are looking for a place to stay outside of St Louis, I highly recommend this location.

This location was great on Main Street. The AC was a problem though. It was 78 degrees when we arrived Friday & didn’t go down to 72 until we left Sunday. The host came to look but kind said it’s old, sorry. Understandably it’s a historic building but with the temperature outside over 100 it was miserable. The upstairs bed was very squeaky. Luckily we didn’t need it but if you’re at 6 ppl max..that’s tough it’ll keep everyone awake if you move in the slightest. There was a “water boil order” that was enacted Thursday & host didn’t inform us which isn’t right since we drank water Friday from the Tap. While order isn’t host fault not telling us is. The loft was Very clean & host were communicative but would’ve liked the system turned on for us well in advance to avoid 2 days of a hot apartment. Overall okay, if AC was working properly I’d consider rebooking.

Everything was clean and extra items in the kitchen was wonderful. The kitchen ceiling fan needs adjusted it shakes a lot when on high. One of the beds upstairs the headboard makes alot of noise too. Besides that the place was wonderful.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in St Charles. The property was clean and in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The coffee shop under the property makes great coffee and was never loud. Will stay here again!

Great Locatuon

This is a comfortable place in an amazing location. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The river is just a block away and has a long trail. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is a bit small but manageable.

The Town was great this unit not as we expected.

It is listed 1 bed downstairs. 1 futon downstairs 4 beds upstairs. We found the futon in the living room to be different and less quality version of what is photographed. Also no linens for this futon so not usable as a bed.We also found the seating in the dinning area had enough chairs. But the quality of chairs was not great. We did not feel comfortable sitting and chatting in the space. The listing does state the temperature must stay at 72. While that didn’t sound like an issue, we found the temperature upstairs was so high it was uncomfortable to sleep. There are ceiling fans but not enough airflow to make it comfortable. We went in May. I would have to assume it’s unbearable in August. Parking is noted as available. There is one parking space for this unit. All other streets are 2 hour parking only. This particular weekend the whole street was closed for a market. Per the host they don’t ticket so just park anyway. Just be aware if you are bringing more than one vehicle you may be searching for a safe place to park. In the listing it mentions being above a coffee shop and there may be some noise. What it doesn’t say is the coffee shop is open 10 am to midnight. After they close the employees sit out front on the sidewalk and have a party. Friday it was late before they left, all on motorcycles. Saturday we had to call the police to ask them to leave at 2 am. I find it hard to believe the host had no idea this was excessive.
