Great Location, Unit could use some TLC
Great location close to Forest Park. Unit was nicely decorated, but could use some TLC. Towel rack in bathroom was broken. Closet doors hard to open. Could have used some extra towels, blankets and TP. We did have a nice stay and it was nice to have a designated parking spot.

Perfect Apartment and Host, Suspicious Parking Lot
This apartment is even better than the photos. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and unit was extremely clean. The host is also incredibly kind and attentive. I would easily stay here again in the future. My only concern—the gate to the parking lot of the building is not active and is always open. During my stay, my car was vandalized (cut through the convertible soft top) and stolen. This is at no fault of the VRBO, but it’s worth noting for future guests. The central west end is an affluent and trendy neighborhood of St. Louis, but it also attracts a lot of crime. Through this experience, I learned this neighborhood ranks #1 in auto theft among the entire state, and criminal activity is at an all time high. Future guests should be mindful to empty their cars and make sure all doors are locked and secured, or even consider parking in a more secure location.

Accomidating and convenient
Owners were very helpful understanding and responsive. Apartment was clean close to everything downtown and comfortable. The building is in need of updating the hallways throughout are musky old dirty and bug problem at the back entryway downstairs at no fault to owner though.

Good location -Dated building
Chose this apartment as it is 2 bdrm and 1.5 bath for reasonable price. Location was great for wedding we were attending and Forest Park is close with so much to see and do. Highly recommend the art museum. As for the building and apt. unit - the building is old and dated. Hallways need better lighting and updating. Parking lot was supposedly gated but the gate was never closed. A security issue in this area. Metro line runs next to building. Apartment was clean and kitchen appears new. Beds were comfortable. Living room furniture is quite uncomfortable. Two windows did not close completely and made outside noise noticeable. We never got the TV to work even though we followed instructions. Was not a big deal to us as we had little time to watch TV and had our own devices with us. Overall, it was an okay stay for the price.

Not at all what we thought it would be
Its not often that I review properties in recent years unless the place is exceptional or awful. I'd recommend this apartment if you don't mind a parking that is a very long and unpleasant hike from the apartment building, or a building with rather grungy lobby area, elevator, and hallways, or wifi that is incredibly complicated to login to, or a super loud and noisy air conditioning unot.

Girls trip
We had a great weekend at this apartment. Perfect location. 5-15min from anywhere you want to go. Across the street practically from Forest Park. Beautiful neighborhood. Comfy beds. Walk across the street and down half a block to Mack's bar and grill. We had a delicious breakfast there. Lovely time all around. Apartment had everything we needed including coffee for the coffeemaker.

Home base in St. Louis
My son and I stayed at the Lux on a whirlwind weekend of apartment hunting. Apartment was perfectly located, minutes away from various highways to get anywhere around St. Louis, easy walk to Forest Park (which is AMAZING). Apartment was just as imaged, Arthur was fantastic (great advice on neighborhoods, thank you!), neighborhood very nice.

Convenient location with lots of space
Apartment is spacious with plenty of amenities and is in a great location near Forest Park. Bring your own coffee and filters tho. Gated parking lot seemed safe but don’t park near the chain link fence in the alley as our car was damaged by people climbing the fence to get into the parking lot.

Would not recommend, especially for families with children
Pro - parking is available near the property - close to Forest Park Cons - the property was not cleaned when first arrived ( crumbs on floors, hairs in bathtub) - apartment elevator was not working at all (the property is on the 5th floor) - security concern - hallway, parking lot were not well lit. windows not shut securely. - shower faucet not working Originally booked for a couple nights, but left after the first night and ended up staying at a downtown hotel the second night. Would NOT recommend this place, especially if you are with young children.

Good stay
Our family of four stayed at Park Lux for 10 days while visiting family. The accommodations were perfect. We enjoyed the full kitchen and the in unit washer/dryer. The extra half bath was a plus. Location near Metrolink and Forest Park. The manager was extremely accommodating with our booking change and late checkout. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location for a ladies' weekend!
The apartment was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the open concept mixed with private space. Having 1 1/2 baths was also nice when we were getting ready. The gated parking was limited at best, so you may want to practice parallel parking! The host communicated well and took care of our concerns (internet - fixed quickly). Beautiful neighborhood in walking distance of Forest Park and a light rail stop. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great area for access to the Central West End, Forest Park and Wash U. campuses. Host was extremely communicative and helpful with each issue that I had a question about. Apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable.

Good space close to Forest park and Washington university
Clean apartment. Bed is very, very comfortable. In addition to good air conditioner, master bedroom has a cooling tower fan that worked great! Great location. Good communication with owner. Note that parking spot is down an alleyway and a bit of a walk to the apartment (not the nicest parking area as bunch of trash in alleyway, very dark at night and multiple cars in the lot had flat tires). Free parking on street in front of apartment but hard to find in evenings. Front door to apartment building was not able to close and lock so security to building was poor. Building interior needs some care. However, apartment space was very clean and very comfortable. Would recommend this rental but hopefully front entrance to building is fixed soon.

The property was located close to all the attractions in St Louis. The access to the property and parking was excellent! The apartment was very comfortable and met all of our needs. Lastly, we loved the fact that ground coffee was provided!!

Great Value!
The apartment was a great value being close to the science museum, zoo, and forest park. The apartment was clean and in great condition. The kitchen was fantastic and the beds were like a cloud. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!
