We had a wonderful stay at the beach house! The location was perfect! We rented bikes for the week which I highly recommend… the trails were wonderful! We definitely hope to come back soon. Thank you!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn't ask for a better location -almost on the beach and close to the clubhouse pool/gym. Rooms are clean and comfortable -the upstairs probably gets pretty hot in the height of summer. Bathrooms really need updating but otherwise well-outfitted.

Great location

Lovely house. Great location, beach access across the street. It was nice to be inside The Plantation community. We didn’t realize that there are areas on the island that can only be accessed from inside The Plantation so that was a happy accident for us.

At Last - Great Vacation Home!

The home was clean, had plenty of towels, blankets, etc. as well as cookware, utensils to cook meals. Desiree was very responsive when we discovered that the fridg/freezer wasn't cooling properly. An appliance company came out and resolved the issue quickly.We also enjoyed the beach gear service that delivers/picks up at the home.We loved our time at the beach as well as Apalachicola, the Estuary, Gulf Speciman Marine Laboratories, and Wakullah Springs.If you are looking for a home where you can enjoy the beach, At Last is your place! ⛱️💗☀️

Perfect house for a quiet week!

Right across the street from the beach and a board rock just a couple doors down to make it easy to get to the beach. The pool was only about four houses away and it was very nice and also had water aerobics which was really fun. We rented bikes and rode all over the place. Love how the plantation continues the bike paths all throughout the plantation. We rode the bikes every day. The house was very well appointed very cozy and it was perfect for rainy afternoons doing puzzles watching movies. The bedrooms were huge. We would stay there again.

The kitchen is small but has great utensils, pans, appliances, etc. It is not waterfront but has nice views of the water. There is a great place upstairs for kids or just spread out space. The Parrot is our favorite place to eat on the Island.

The house was perfect for our family... the kids loved the upstairs, we loved seeing the ocean from the deck, and we really loved the close proximity to the beach. Our questions were answered quickly, communication was wonderful, and everyone was very friendly that we talked with. We’d love to stay here again in the future! The Plantation was quiet and serene and the week was truly unforgettable!

Wonderful Birthday Weekend

We celebrated two special birthdays at this nice house. It was an easy stroll to the beach, fitness room, and the neighborhood. Main bedrooms were spacious and family areas, including the front deck, were terrific for family events. Overall, very comfortable stay. Issues to note are: bathrooms need updating, kitchen working area is tight, some lights did not work or were unstable, dinner table surface loose/rocked, and sliding doors heavy and hard to operate.

Most relaxing visit yet

Everything worked so we didn’t. This is our 25th annual St George Island visit. This home is spacious and ideal for two couples. Sure the house with all its amenities will accommodate more We chose to not do that. And just relax.

The accommodations, the location, and the support from the rental agency is always excellent.The view of the water is very nice and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing.The inside of the rental has everything that we need to be comfortable. There are two master bedrooms and plenty of room upstairs for additional guests.The living area is very open and provides plenty of room with expansion onto the large deck overlooking the water.I’m very impressed with the efforts from the owners and the rental agency to provide top-notch accommodations and support.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this home was great but this home is very outdated. There is plenty of sleeping accommodation but no bathroom on the upper level. There was a nice specialty coffee pot but no carafe that was our first call to Forgotten Shores customer service. They were great and brought a coffee maker right away. But then the outlet in the bedroom we used as a master bedroom would not work and the other outlet in the other bedroom almost came out of the wall so this was our second call. Two days later an electrician came to repair the outlets. Normally, we make do and never call but the electrically issues was not something we could live with. The HVAC unit needs to be replaced. The reps were in the 70’s while we were there and we turned the AC on in the evening and it never cooled. Also, the ancient washer and dryer is in a storage area outside below the house.

We enjoyed our stay at at last. The house met all of our needs. It had a nice view of the ocean. The furnishings were pretty. Its a short walk to the beach. We were confused about the trash. We put it out but it wasnt picked up.

Comfortable Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I enjoy visiting St. George Island when it is winter at home. This cottage was the perfect retreat for us with additional room for another couple to join us. The upstairs has sleeping room for children and others. There are 2 master bedrooms with master bathrooms. The upstairs guests would need to use one of the easily accessible master bathrooms. There are 2 convenient beach access walkways in front of the cottage. The Plantation is safe and the environment was quiet during our visit. My only concern is that the internet service and cell phone service at the cottage is very weak. This is a great place to go offline, but don’t expect to work from this location. We will be returning.

Relax at At Last

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very enjoyable stay at At Last. There were lots of books,puzzles,kitchen utensils, things like that. While it was not beach front we could see the water which was nice. Deck was great. Our only criticism was the Internet/tv was out until Monday....not good when an NFL playoff game is on but the technician was able to get things up and running, however you could only use streaming on the tv which we did not have and the dvd player on the main tv did not work, fortunately we had brought our own. It was an inconvenience but not enough to make us not was to stay there again. We do plan to rebook for next year. Enjoyed eating at the Beach Pit and the Blue Parrot

You cannot go wrong on the plantation with beautiful beaches, biking, tennis, and bay access. We have stayed in several homes on the plantation and At Last definitely a favorite. We have rented this home multiple times. Close to the clubhouse and beach access. Forgotten Shores is always a great company to work with.

Ideal experience

Beautiful home! Clean and well maintained. I don't say that lightly because I was a hotel manager for 30+ years and rarely does a rental meet my standards, but this one did. There were only two in our party and we each enjoyed a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home, so plenty of privacy. We did not use the upstairs, but did see how that would be great for a family (though anyone sleeping upstairs would have to use one of the downstairs bathrooms, which are attached to the bedroom areas). The color scheme of white/neutral decor is very brave for a rental! As adults we loved it. We also appreciated that the house is tucked away from the road, and surrounded by trees. Again, privacy from nearby homes.

A few concerns

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I don’t normally post reviews. However, I want others aware of a few issues. The location is wonderful and the rental company was easy to work with on trip. The house was definitely not what I would consider clean. The floors were definitely dirty. The vacuum at the house didn’t function correctly. We sprayed the house down with lysol, and cleaned the bathrooms before using. I am not sure why, but at night the queen bedroom doesn’t seem to stay cool. We would wake up sweating in the night. The location is great, and house would be fine if it had a good deep clean and a few updates. I am thinking the floors couldn’t be cleaned good bc of the lack of cleaning equipment. FYI the washer and dryer is outside in garage closet. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but you do have to go outside. It’s super hot.
