Ursel looks after the villa and the grounds and she gave us a lovely welcome and was very helpful throughout our stay.John (the owner) is a great communicator and kept us up to date with all the information one could require.The villa was spotless and very comfortable in a lovely quiet location, that might not suit everyone but it was perfect for our family. This villa in Belle Isle, Grenada was absolutely beautiful. The ocean views are amazing, and the pool and gazebo were a real highlight, just incredible. The home itself is spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Photos does not do it justice. The host was excellent and provided a lot of helpful and beneficial information, which made our stay even better. Thank you for that. A couple of minor improvement suggestions: the refrigerator may be due for replacement, and the ceiling fan remotes go through batteries pretty quickly. One thing to note—having a driver or being a confident driver is important. I love driving, so navigating the roads became my “merit badge,” and I genuinely enjoyed it. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Ursel was amazing:)

Luxury Villa Gem

John and Paty's luxury villa exceeded our expectations in almost every category. It is beautifully appointed, comfortable, private, and is surrounded by lush gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only caveat to be aware of is the drive to St. George's. While only 10 miles, it takes 45 min each way to maneuver due to the narrow, winding roads and traffic. John was very helpful organizing a driver to pick us up at the airport and explaining how to hire a rental car to be dropped off. He was extremely responsive to all our questions as was Ursel the property manager. Five stars.

Perfect

A large villa with very spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Garden full of flowers, birds and birdsong. Large pool, about 5 or 6 foot deep. Plenty of shaded and unshaded areas outside for sunbathing/sitting/dining. Beautifully furnished inside. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet location, the only sounds are the birds and the sea breaking on the cliff (about 200 metres away). Private but not isolated, other villas locally. Very fast and helpful responses from UK owner and local manager. Spotlessly clean. Absolutely no downsides, though Grenada roads have many potholes.

Great house, just far from things

The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and in a quiet setting. The perfect place to stay if you want quiet and respite. Communication was great and the caretaker very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed a pre planned ‘Oil Down’ local meal upon arrival. The only downside is the location which is 45 minutes from most activities so if you are looking to be active this may not be the best option. Night driving is especially hard so we wound up cooking ourselves most evenings when normally we would have explored more.

Beautiful Villa for a relaxing holiday stay

The Villa is absolutely beautiful, including the rooms and the garden with pool. Loved the fact that you can pick your own fruit from the garden trees when ripe. What sets this place apart more than anything though is the people. The owners are incredibly helpful and responsive right from the day of booking. In addition, the housekeeper, Ursel, is there at check in and for any questions you may have. She is also a great cook and we had a wonderful meal prepared by her on our second day when we were still not very familiar with the area. Driving in Grenada takes some getting used to, so having such a lovely place to relax is awesome!

Beautiful property

Beautiful property with plenty of room to stretch out. 4 bedrooms and one large bath upstairs and one bedroom with ensuite bath downstairs. All bedrooms had air conditioning but the main areas did not. There were ceiling fans to help move the air. Although we did not use them, the hosts provided soap, shampoo, dish and clothes soap and plenty of towels. Laundry was available as well. There was an outside pool. Clear communication with owners of the Villa. They made sure we were well informed as to what to expect, not only from the accommodations, but from the island as well. Ursel, the property manager, was very kind and helpful. She answered anytime we called her and helped in any way she could. Bonney, the taxi driver, was available to drive us wherever and whenever we needed to go somewhere. Reasonable on his fees. If Bonney was not able to take us,he made arrangements for us to be picked up by someone he trusted to take us. Bonney made suggestions of places to eat and even made dinner reservations for us one night. He gave us a couple of tours of places that we may not have seen on a commercial tour. I can't say enough about Bonney and Ursel. The purpose for us staying was moving our daughter to SGU. The Villa was about an hour drive from SGU Campus. The distance from SGU was the only downfall to this property. Being so far away, we could not go back and forth from the Villa and ended up only sleeping there. If it had been closer, we could have made meals there and swam.

Great stay in superb villa

We stayed in this villa for one week. It’s an oasis of tranquility. Beautiful villa, fully equipped with all that you can think of. View of the ocean and perfect pool with gazebos. The booking, communication with the owner, and follow up questions were all perfect. Very helpful with giving guidance on car rental and arranging taxi upon arrival. Since the island of Grenada is small, you can get to any attraction within 30-40 minutes. There is a beautiful quiet beach with a nice restaurant at just 10 min drive. You should consider this place when you want to stay on Grenada.

Grenada paradise

This is a lovely property with beautiful gardens and pool. The house was large, clean and well appointed and is quite private. We felt like we were staying in our own private tropical paradise. The owner is very communicative and the local property manager Ursel was great. She’s an excellent cook and will prepare you a delicious Grenadian meal at a reasonable cost. The owner recommended car rental firm Sanvics, was great as was taxi driver Bony who picked us up at the airport and will comfortably take you wherever you want to go. We felt very well taken care of. There’s a beautiful beach La Sagesse less than 15 minutes away where there’s a nice restaurant where you can rent sun lounges for a small fee. We had a wonderful vacation at this property and recommend it highly.

Exceeded Expectations

The pictures don't do this property justice. The home is very spacious and complete with every amenity you need for an authentic vacation in Grenada. John communicated more than any other property owner we have worked with as it is truly their families second home. Scheduling an authentic Grenadian dinner prepared at home with the property manager Ursel is also a must. Be prepared to drive to most beaches and restaurants. I absolutely recommend this property.

Beautiful countryside villa

This was exactly the quiet retreat that I hoped to experience. I recommend this property to anyone wanting the solace and beauty of the country in a tropical setting. The property is charming and well maintained. There are walking trails along the beautiful coastline. The owners are informative, responsive and thoughtful. The property manager (Ursel) was gracious, responsive and helpful. Despite solid planning, our party of six wasn't as prepared for mosquitoes and other biting insects but the Villa was stocked with additional insect repellent, itch relief and bug spray (soooo appreciated). Of course there are a few hiccups with any experience BUT those instances did not detract. The hiccups: water pressure and water temperature wasn't consistent but we reported it and the matter was addressed in a timely manner. The mattresses throughout are definitely on the firm to extra firm side and may not offer the individual comfort that you expect - a consideration but not a deal breaker. At the end of our week, my informal poll to the vacationing family and friends revealed a happy and positive overall experience.

great holiday

Wonderful property. Lots of space both in the house and outside with everything you could possibly need. Lovely large pool and lots of searing with both sun and shade. The villa is in a quiet area with lots of birds. We particularly loved the hummingbirds. Some changes in Grenada post covid but everyone is still friendly and helpful. Some restaurants not yet back but those that are have been great. A great villa.

Week in Grenada

This property was great. Our booking in a hotel had been cancelled at the last minute. John the host was very prompt with communication and getting everything sorted out for us in such a short time. The complimentary driver was superb and was waiting for us at the airport. The housekeeper met us at the property and showed us the facilities. All well presented and very professional. It is a wonderful villa, very spacious for 6 people. The pool was a real bonus and the view was spectacular to wake up to every day. You definitely need to rent a car while staying here. Nothing is in walking distance. Although once you’ve mastered the windy roads and the local drivers. Listen for the beeps when they over-take! It was pretty straight forward getting around. Make sure you have a map, just in case you lose your internet and gps signal. The local beach only 15 mins away was a real bonus and the beach restaurant was a hit with my family. Grenada made us feel very welcome, even if England lost in the test match!!

Our piece of Paradise

This was our 4th visit, which says it all really. The booking process is smooth, and response time for queries is superb. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and in a beautiful setting. Although Belle Isle may seem a bit off the beaten track, Grenada is a small island, so it is not really far away from anywhere and it's lovely to come back to the peace and quiet after a trip out. Ursel and Joan look after the guests as if they were family, nothing is too much trouble. We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to return to 'our house in Grenada' next year

A lovely remote retreat

We had a wonderful week at the Belle Isle Villa. We were two couples and the accommodation was superb and contained all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked for all meals prepared at the Villa. There were enough towels and the beds were comfortable. We especially appreciated having the beach chairs and towels available for our beach days. The pool was wonderful to come back too after a day of touring Grenada. The garden and yard provided a quiet tranquility and we especially enjoyed picking fresh grapefruit for our breakfasts from the tree on the property. It was a very nice place and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in Grenada. The house is remote so you would need a car. We went to a beach close by recommended to us by the owner called La Sagesse. We went to La Sagesse a few times during our stay and went to the restaurant for lunch and drinks on the beach. Would highly recommend this home if you desire a peaceful retreat location. Just a heads up we found the driving in Grenada to be nerve wracking

Maison conforme à l’annonce. Propriétaire aux petits soins. Parfaite communication et disponibilité. Terrain arboré, beau jardin, calme absolu mais loin de tout. Pour des Français pas habitués à rouler à gauche, il est quasiment impossible de sortir le soir : routes étroites et sinueuses, et chauffeurs locaux surprenants ... L’exotisme a du bon le jour mais devient vite dangereux de nuit. Mieux vaut être de retour avant 18h. Maison parfaitement équipée côté ménager. Globalement bon séjour.

Beautiful villa in lovely peaceful surroundings

We have just returned home from this lovely light and airy well equipped villa surrounded by wonderful gardens and great pool with beautiful planting and views of the sea. We saw and identified many tropical birds - the binoculars left in the house were much appreciated. Brizane and Bonney gave us a great guided tour on arrival, when they drove us from the airport to the villa, We received a very warm welcome from Fiona the house manager and Joan and Ursul who brought us lemons and fresh mangoes. The detailed notes from John and Paty about local beaches and restaurants were very helpful. We particularly loved the unspoilt beach and bar/restaurant at La Sagesse - only ten minutes drive away where we spent many happy hours under the palm trees and in the warm sea. We also found other beautiful beaches and did a lovely boat trip with Dive Grenada with some great snorkeling and one of our party did a deep sea dive. One of the many highlights of the trip was a beautiful walk to the waterfalls at St Margarets where we swam in the icy cold pools. Grenada is a beautiful island with lovely people and we hope to return. Many thanks John and Paty from all of us - Isabel and Steve, Susie, Jane, Nirupa, Sally and Bharat

Gorgeous villa 5 star vacation

John & Paty, Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. The villa is stunning, beautiful view, magnificent pool and gardens. This was our first visit to Grenada and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island. A rental car is a must, or hire a driver (both very reasonably priced). Scuba diving was top notch - excellent visibility with untouched reefs. We enjoyed visiting the various beaches, especially enjoyed La Saggase - 5 minutes down the road with a wonderful restaurant/beach bar and returning to the villa at the end of the day to relax by the pool. Amazing stars at night. Every day was 82 degrees with a breeze so we did not experience any issues with bugs at the villa or on the beaches. I would highly recommend this villa to the traveler that is looking for a well maintained luxury home with a beautiful ocean view. Thank you, Sandra and Bruce

Fabulous Property!!!

This was our second time at the Villa, and just as the first time, we loved every minute of our stay. From the interior, with it's comfortable furniture and well stocked kitchen, to the gorgeous grounds, complete with beautiful flowers and fruit trees, along with amazing views and huge pool, you couldn't ask for more. The owners are quick to reply to any questions you may have. They provide detailed instructions on all the island has to offer, and instructions regarding the Villa itself, including how to use all the appliances, along with phone numbers to call if anything should go wrong. Transportation is provided from the airport to the Villa, with a stop at a local grocery store on the way, which also helps in starting the ultimate vacation. All in all, we highly recommend the Villa and are already looking forward to planning our next trip.
