Fowey, famous for its Du Maurier festival is 10 miles east and the historic harbour of Charlestown with its tall ships, familiar from Poldark, is a short drive from the house.

The house is just 25 minutes from the more rugged North coast, home to surfers and windsurfers at places like Newquay, Watergate Bay, Rock, Perranporth and Porthtowan. Further West lies Penzance and those last few miles to Lands End - Porthcurno, Sennen Cove, Kynance Cove and St Ives with its world famous Tate Gallery.
