We just returned from the most wonderful family vacation at the Private Oasis, and I can't say enough good things about our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the beautiful property and the warm welcome we received from the owners. It was such a pleasure getting to know them, and their hospitality made us feel right at home.Traveling with a group that included my husband, the kids, and our grandkids can be a challenge, but this property was perfect for every generation and our dogs loved it too. As a matter of fact, I think they are a little depressed now that we are back at home with the small yard and no chickens to watch. The spacious yard was a huge hit, providing plenty of room for the kids and grandkids to run around and play freely.The heated pool was a highlight for everyone, and we spent countless hours swimming,

Everything from booking to checkout was perfect!Terry, our host, was an excellent communicator who was super attentive to the details that made for a VERY memorable family experience. Very well organized and amazing to work with

We were down in the area for my sons wedding. We wanted to be able to relax between events and also have a great place to watch the Superbowl with my family Sunday after the wedding events. The property was amazing and relaxing. Any instructions that were needed are clear. The attention to detail around the property was great. It was obvious that a Veteran owns the property. We took advantage of the fresh eggs as well. We have already talked about booking here again on our next visit to Florida. There are so many things close by to do as well.

A very well thought out home away from home!

Terry and Theresa‘s oasis is definitely just that with a little extra. A very well appointed home surrounded by lush Gardens. Completely fenced and gated in to allow you a safe and secure feeling but also to let your dogs run free. We loved every moment of our stay, especially the chickens made for a daily morning run of fresh eggs. Communication between Terry and Theresa was wonderful. They kept us up-to-date on everything and helped us out in a bad situation by extending our stay. The home is located very near the river, allowing you for a wonderful dining experience on the water within minutes to the house, only 5 miles away from shopping other restaurants, frozen yogurt, as well and Buckys close by. They have thought of every little touch to make your stay extremely comfortable, in a clean home, with everything that you would possibly need including a wonderful pool house equipped with games, Foos ball, refrigerator, popcorn maker, and anything else that you need to keep your younger kids or your teenagers occupied. A beautiful pool with floats and wonderful lounge chairs surrounded by lush gardens with something to view all over the property.

Great place to stay

This was such a great place to stay! The hosts were very nice and communication was great. We arrived a little late (in the dark) and the house was very welcoming for us when we arrived. They had lights on and music playing. They literally thought of everything as far as what a guest might need. They had dog treats ready for our dogs when we arrived. The place was totally fenced in and private. The pictures do not to the place justice, it was much bigger than we anticipated, and it was a lovely open space floor plan. It was too cold to use the pool, but they had a nice firepit we were able to enjoy. The fresh eggs were a fun additive, and we just felt very at home in the space. Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect

We thought we had died and went to heaven. The home and property were absolutely immaculate. When we first entered from the front door, there was soft music playing and the rooms smelled like fresh air. I would be writing a short story to tell all the wonders of this amazing home and property. Gathering fresh eggs everyday was a real treat. All amenities, and more, were included. The comfortable outdoor area's were very relaxing and beautifully landscaped. It looked like an oasis. The game room was filled with fun games to play both inside and outside. We used the grill everyday for dinner and ate in the enclosed lanai. The bedrooms were very spacious complete with very comfortable beds. They even had food bowls with water dispenser for the dogs. Again, it would take a short story to explain our absolutely amazing experience. Love, love, love this place.

Wonderful home

The pictures did not do this home justice. The place is beautiful and the personal touches the owners left for us were above and beyond. They left treats for the pups and roses for us. The master bed was extremely comfortable. My dogs had full run of the yard with no leashes because it is completely fenced, which was wonderful. They had a blast too. This will be our go to place to stay whenever we are going to St Augustine. We absolutely loved it.

Thanksgiving Vacation in St. Augustine

We had a wonderful stay here at this location. The home and property were absolutely beautiful. This home had plenty of amenities and everything you could imagine for all ages. Paradise in St. Augustine

Absolutely stunning property. The Carpenter’s have gone above and beyond any expectation of a rental property. Every space is lovely and so thought out. It truly is a paradise. The grounds are picture perfect and something out of a magazine. My dogs could run and run. There isn’t a space that isn’t just absolutely gorgeous from the pool, the game area in the man cave, the rooms, the gorgeous landscaping. The meticulous detail in every area. Just stunning!!!

Home away from Home

Our family had an amazing stay while vacationing in St Augustine. Anything and everything you could think of was available at this property. The hosts were excellent in communicating with us and ensuring we had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The home was very clean and tastefully decorated. The outside was a private sanctuary with a pool and beautifully landscaped. Beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of clean linens, towels and pool towels for our use- we felt like we were home away from home. Thank you for again for a great stay!

A hidden gem

From the moment we saw the photos online we knew that the Carpenter's home was special. We just didn't realize how special. It is situated at the end of a short lane on several acres of land that is beautifully landscaped, fenced, and gated. The owner's email on remotes & entry were very detailed & accurate, so check-in was a breeze. The house is tastefully decorated with artwork, houseplants, fresh flowers and memorabilia from the Carpenter's travels. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal. Fresh eggs are available daily from the chickens; the pantry is fully stocked; and the Godiva and Dove chocolates were most appreciated. There is a Zephyr Hills water cooler in the laundry room, as are all the laundry supplies necessary for our stay. We generally travel with some kitchen supplies and paper products (paper towels, tissues, & toilet paper). We never unpacked them. We brought bicycles and golf clubs and made use of nearby bike paths and beautiful golf courses. We explored St. Augustine via the Old Town trolley, toured the Old Jail, and sampled the fine restaurants. We drove down to Ormond Beach and viewed a spectacular nighttime Falcon 9 launch to the space station from Andy Romano beachfront park. We have been staying at VRBO properties for 15 years. This was hands-down the best experience we have had! Thank you Terry & Theresa for being such wonderful hosts!

Wonderful and very accommodating

We had a wonderful stay! Terry was so accommodating! Had the place decorated for Christmas which made it super homey for our vacation. Also had a bottle of wine from a local winery, cookies, and chocolates for us when we arrived. Super quick communication. We traveled with our three dogs and they did not charge us for them and they had food and water bowls for us to use. The outdoor area is an oasis and completely fenced which was great for our pups! They loved running around and exploring in the yard. I would highly recommend staying here!
