I don’t know where to begin! My family of six adults and two small children could not have had a better experience. We just completed a fever dream of a week in this beautiful villa, doted on by an incredibly professional,caring and attentive staff. Chef Wong sent us home wanting every single recipe to his outstanding meals! We never wanted to eat out! As if the property itself wasn’t perfect, the staff was the chef’s kiss! Pepe made the best rum drinks and was the perfect host. Sophia kept the whole house in order and Bryan and Dwayne kept the property always looking its best. If we ever come back to Jamaica, we will return to Brown Shuggah! Anna and Daniel were fabulous communicators and they will always steer you in the right direction when it comes to activities, drivers and amenities! Thank you for the most relaxing and rewarding trip!

Our stay at Brown Shuggah was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views, spacious and comfortable accommodations, and—most of all—the INCREDIBLE staff who made our vacation unforgettable.We were warmly cared for by Sofia, the sweetest and most attentive housekeeper; the extraordinary Chef Wong; Pepe, our phenomenal butler; and Dwyane and Bryan, the friendly and hardworking groundskeepers who kept the property in pristine condition. Their warmth and dedication elevated every moment of our stay immensely and we have the utmost gratitude for each of them. A huge thank you as well to Anna for recommending the perfect driver. Jahair, our driver, was incredible, kind, punctual, patient, and always ready to take us wherever we needed to go safely. Before arriving, our family was hesitant due to the recent hurricane, but once we confirmed everything was in place, we were so glad we continued with our plans. Jamaica felt incredibly safe, and everywhere we went, locals expressed heartfelt gratitude for visitors supporting tourism.Our group of eight travelers, ages 4 to 74, all had an amazing time—from the youngest to the oldest. The entire experience, from beginning to end, was spectacular! We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a strong desire to return! If you’re considering this property, do not hesitate—you will be absolutely thrilled you chose it and it will be a memory you’ll always treasure!

The listing doesn't really do it justice. My friends and I spent 3 nights there for a birthday getaway / reunion. It was absolutely stunning. Each room was well appointed, there were lots of spaces to sit, relax and take in the natural beauty. The place was quiet. The staff was top notch and the chef is really talented. All throughout our stay, the hosts were responsive and friendly. They also provide recommendations for beauty and wellness providers so you never really have to leave the property!All in all, it was a memorable weekend, and the compliments haven't stopped pouring in from my friends about it.

Fantastic Villa!

We had an absolutely relaxing and pampered weekend at Brown Shuggah. The team was amazing. Chef Wong was incredible. His food was so tasty , we think we gained 10 pounds in a 4 day 3 night weekend. Praise to Sophie and Pepe who took tremendous care of us, with cleanliness of the rooms and organization of the days. Sophie made our room special for my husband’s birthday, and Pepe made sure decorations etc were up. Thanks to Dwayne and Brian also for keeping the property looking beautiful outside. Anna the host was easily reachable and gave us recommendations. We had a great time. We are just sorry that we had to leave.

Home away from home

We had a great vacation. We travel to Jamaica every year and decided to stay at this property. The home is spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Pepe was on top of everything and took care of our every need from coffee in the morning to cocktails in the evening! He even took us in the ocean and made us feel comfortable exploring because he knows the ocean so well. Chef Wang prepared traditional Jamaican meals for us that we loved! Sophia made sure to keep the living space pristine! Finally Duane kept the outdoor space inviting and even taught me to play dominoes!!!We had an amazing time and are so grateful to the whole team. We will definitely be back!The Parker’s

Christmas Holiday

We had a fabulous time at Brown Shuggah Villa. We were 6 Adults and three children under 3, multi generations and it worked perfectly. The garden was lovely and fenced so no one was escaping! The pool although small was perfect. We thought being virtually part of the house may have been an issue, however this was not a problem at all. In fact it was a relief because someone was always there.I think what makes this place special is the staff. We all came home so relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble, dinner and lunch set up was always changing. Everything done with a smile. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more. Anna was super helpful ordering shopping before we got there and was always quick to communicate. I hope one day we can go back.

Gorgeous villa - beautiful property

I loved loved loved my stay at Brown Shuggah! This was my return to this villa and it was more delightful this time than previous! The villa itself is not only well maintained but has an element of uniqueness in design that is very striking and pleasing. From the natural water elements, unique pieces of furniture and art work, to the curvatures of the walls and the unique feel of each room, being here brings about a sense of peace and happiness. The owner is very friendly and nice - reaching out prior to answer any/all questions to help ensure that our visit would be a good one. The staff (Mario, Pepe, Chef Wong and others) were very fun to interact with as they were positive, attentive, respectful and polite in all interactions with us. I simply loved everything about my stay and hope to be able to return again soon!!

Glad to be home!

We were a party of 12, consisting of 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 4 younger children. The accommodations were just what we were expecting, the little ones had a space to call their own, the teenagers, well they’re teens, and the adults had multiple areas to congregate and chat it up. The staff is spectacular! Chef was able to deliver on my every request, Sophia made lite work of keeping things fresh and tidy, considering the kids were so busy. Sean is personable and welcoming, my 2 year old just loved him. He made sure we were all taken care of, even if it meant snagging me some Black Mint on a ditch request. Pepe rounded it all out, he made sure the property was secured and well manicured. Pepe is a professional swimmer, Aqua Man would be jealous of that man’s water skills. He took my family snorkeling one afternoon and helped to curate an experience my kids will never forget. I loved the stay, it was like visiting family, we truly felt at home back a Yaad!

Brown Suggah Villa is a beautiful property! What was even more amazing was the staff! They were all extremely accommodating and friendly. My kids loved them, especially my 1 year old! We loved it so much, we wished we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be visiting again!

Absolutely Amazing

Our group of 5 had an absolutely amazing time at Brown Shuggah. The property managers, Anna and Daniel, were kind and responsive, and the staff- Sean, Sophia, Chef Wong, Pepe, and Bryan -were the best! So sweet, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and a joy to be around. Our driver, Michael, who we organized through the property, was also great, as he made sure we got to and from the house safely and was always on time. On to the house... it's stunning. The views are beautiful, the accommodations are luxurious and comfortable, and the swimming cove, while without a beach, is still awesome. 5 stars all around- I can't wait to get back!

Family Trippin' Jamaica 2023

The decision to NOT stay at the resort & book "Brown Shuggah" Villa was THE ABSOLUTE BEST decision ever!!! From the moment we arrived until the very moment we left, everything & everyone was unbelievably over-the-top, incredibly AMAZING!! The staff was so incredibly kind & accommodating! We didn't arrive until after 10pm, we were met outside by these amazing folks who greeted us with big smiles & peppermint scented towels to freshen up!!! They started taking care of us & everything else right away! The Villa is INCREDIBLE!!! The pictures DON'T come close to what we walked into!! It is BEAUTIFULLY STUNNING w/so much Jamaica character about it! Very CLEAN, very well furnished & organized! The VIEW! OH MY GOD!! The views from the house-BREATHTAKING!!! The Ocean is literally just beyond the fence! The back patio area & the yard space is PERFECT!! We spent the majority of our time out there, until 4 am most times enjoying the sounds of the Ocean & comfort of the patio furnishing, the pool was fantastic! Every single bedroom & bathroom was amazing, especially the MSTR BEDROOM! You have to see it to believe it! To wake up with a direct view & sound of the Ocean was like waking up in paradise each day! We requested traditional Jamaican meals. Chef Wong was top tier! EVERY meal was DELICIOUS!! The house was totally cleaned every day! Shaun totally took care of us-he is AMAZING! I think the Villa was the BEST part of our vacation! Brown Shuggah, we will be back!! TEN STARS!!!

Unbelievable! Even better than advertised

Can’t express enough how great the villa was. Beautifully layed out and appointed. The staff was absolutely wonderful and so attentive. The food was outstanding. We did chef’s choice for the week and it was not to disappoint. So fun going to the private children’s beach, and the cliff jumping. Loved the dogs. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Really a special place!

Exquisite

Brown Shuggah Villa is the ultimate in a vacation home rental. The property is stunning with beautiful vistas of the ocean. The house had all the amenities one could hope for. The staff was truly amazing and make it a truly relaxing, memorable experience. It was convenient to Ocho Rios, but not too close. I've rented several different properties around Florida and the Caribbean through VRBO, and this one truly stands out.

5 star recommendation!

We had an amazing time. The pictures really don't do this property justice. It was larger and more beautiful than we expected. We suggested a video walkthrough tour with the housekeeper would be a great addition to the property profile. The staff were amazing and accommodating from arranging trips, great meals, swimming/cliff jumping/exploring the bat cave, to playing Ludo with the our kids. We made so many great memories and our kids will ALWAYS remember this trip to Jamaica. The host was also very responsive and accommodating with last-minute needs and revisions we had for our trip.

A beautiful villa with a very kind staff

We recently stayed at Brown Shuggah Villa (4 adults and 3 young children, ages 2, 2, and 4). This vacation truly exceeded every expectation we had. The house was very clean, large, and exactly as seen in the photos. Our children specifically liked the pool - my son learned to swim! - and the private beach cove. There are ample pool toys and floats. A short 2 minutes walk away is a very shallow bat cave which us adults loved. To the staff: Sharndee, Pepe, Bryan, Sophia and Chef Wong - thank you for caring not only for us but for our kids. Your attention to detail and kindness to our children was truly above and beyond. We will 100% back. Again, thank you!
