Sorry for the inconvenience. The electric shower malfunctioned but we managed to bring in an electrician to fix it before you returned from your golf. We also offered the use of our own shower next door but you said it was not a problem. Not sure what you mean about steps. There are only seven steps in the whole house. Sorry however if the shower and steps spoiled your holiday.

Hi Angela I am very sorry to hear you were not happy with the cottage. You are the only person in five years of hosting to actually have any complaint. If you look through previous reviews - they have all said the place is spotlessly clean. However you do have some valid points and I will act on these immediately. The tap needs fixing. Any cobwebs on the skylight, conservatory and entrance annexe roofs have already been cleaned. The fridge you mentioned was spotless inside and we could not detect any smell. I agree the top did have some dead insects and this has been cleaned. Bear in mind that the fridge is over 6 foot high and is not easily noticed by the cleaners - but no excuses. You mention mice droppings on the towels which I cannot understand. We just don't have mice in the cottage. We have traps at strategic places - remember we are in the country - but have not had evidence of any mice for years. Other than the back of one cushion in the conservatory which had a small stain - I can find no evidence of cushions or curtains being dirty and stained. The curtains were all purchased at the beginning of this year and so are practically new. Your grievances appear to be centred mainly around the annexe buildings - the conservatory and the front entrance building. The rest of the cottage - the internal living areas - bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathrooms, dining room - you didn't mention and I assume these were to your satisfaction. As I mentioned before - all our previous reviews have been very positive. Again I very much regret that the cottage was disappointing and can only offer my apologies. Regards Gordon
