I am so sorry you were disturbed by the trains during your visit! Our hotel is close to the Amtrak station, but while occasionally there are freight trains that run at odd hours, It is not usually a nightly occurrence. I apologize that the incidental hold was not explained to you when you checked in. All hotels hold an additional amount that is released if not used. Hopefully as I write this you see the hold has already been released, though it depends on the card company policies. I hope you enjoyed our visit otherwise and thank you for staying with us!
