I really enjoyed our stay at SeaGem and would stay in either this or any of the other properties on site. The location is beautiful and quiet with amazing views. It’s a short walk into St Agnes and the same distance to Chapel porth but in the opposite direction. We did a day trip to St Ives which was lovely and we spent days on beaches a bit further away because the times we went to local beaches the tide was in and the water had too big waves for us. It was perfect for those that like surfing. We like to spend a lot of time in the places we stay, so we was a bit disappointed when we arrived it wasn’t very clean and when we decided to use the BBQ it had mould on it and old coals from previous use. So this hadn’t been checked. It says in the literature that if you don’t clean it for the next guests to use, then you will be charged. I hope the previous guests weren’t charged because it was actually us that cleaned it. It would have been nice if Cornwall hideaways would have refunded us the amount they would charge someone to clean the BBQ because it wasn’t done. Also I skimmed through the literature before arrival and was shocked when I arrived and there was no parking on site for our car. We had to block guests in, and it turns out only 1 car per lodge. And considering how many people these units can hold I think it needs to be more visible in the booking process about the 1 car rule. Luckily we only had one car but lots of guests don’t abide by the rules and have friends over who park in allocated spaces for only people staying in the lodges and I can imagine that people turn up expecting more spaces than just 1. Final point is that our welcome pack was not left for us on arrival and we had expected it and so had to run to a shop for a bag of tea bags. Everyone loves a brew after a long journey and so was annoyed when I had to get back in the car to go to the shop.
