Mu wife and I (and dog) enjoyed an excellent weekend. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The property is very quiet and serene with beautiful views. Host added many extra treats and bottled water and was extremely easy to work with and always accessible. The back porch has gas fireplace where we spent majority of time just chilling and relaxing. Highly recommend!!

Family Reunion Trip

We loved staying in this beautiful spot. The house was super clean. There were all sorts of snacks and plenty of water and ice for a cooler, when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked, set up for cooking for a group. There are two arcade games in the living room - for fun. Lots of games for all ages and toys for dogs! We enjoyed an evening paddle on the stream. We spotted lots of birds and a beaver! We enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. There are plenty of fun things to do in the area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Very cozy, home offered just about anything you would need. The owners are very nice and very quick to respond to any questions. The large property and privacy was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this property and personally love to return.

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay. The back deck is perfect for relaxing and catching up with family and friends. We sat out there mornings with our coffee and evenings watching the wildlife. Cynthia was proactive in communicating with us .She provided so many nice extra touches. We stay at VRBO a lot so I come prepared with extra paper towels and some pots. Did not need any of its everything was provided I can’t say enough about how wonderful the stay was. The drive into the property is a back dirt road which we enjoyed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Otter's Way to attend a family wedding! Honestly, we would rate it 4.5 -- it was a great space for a rehearsal dinner with 30-40 people and less than 20 minutes from the wedding venue. Everything we needed was available and communication and assistance from the owners was amazing! There was a lot of seating in the living area, dining room and porch, which made having a large group for dinner doable and comfortable. As with all rentals, the knives were not very sharp and the cookware was mediocre and a couple of lights needed to be changed. These were the negatives. Overall, it was a great place--we didn't use the fire pit or explore the river due to being busy and an unseasonable amount of rain. A bedroom and bath on the first level are great for those who have mobility challenges and the ramp made it easy to navigate. We would stay here again if we needed lodging for a larger group in this area!

Weekend train ride trip

You can really tell the house is cared for. It feels like a home. It had everything you could need. They have a well stocked kitchen and even supply snacks. The beds were very comfortable. The yard is huge with a stream behind it with a Great fire pit. I do recommend this property and will definitely go back

Delightful

My family needed a well-deserved getaway, and this is the perfect location. We caught up with family living in the area. This house was designed for entertaining. Booked the next week we wanted to come but planning on returning soon for at least a weekend. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Great Stay

We enjoyed an extended stay at Otter’s Way in early spring. As others have said, this property is exceptional. The grounds with the ponds are a natural paradise, so much fun to watch and hear the many birds, otters, frogs (and even local cows down the way). The house is comfortable and welcoming with great views and spacious indoor/outdoor spaces. If you leave the curtains open at night, the downstairs bedroom provides a magical view of the stars. The location is a great stepping off point for area attractions. We enjoyed many outings in the area, but also time just spent in our own little valley. Again as others have noted, the house is extremely well stocked, everything you need and more. As seniors, we appreciated the ramp into the house for easy loading/unloading and ongoing access. There is also a grab bar in the downstair (but not up) bathroom. The only caveat we would add, is that the property can be difficult to find, the lane is unmarked and we could not get cell service for our gps when we arrived. Be sure you’re clear on the location and perhaps download a detail map before arrival. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, an easy 5 stars, (my dog gives it a 5 star rating as well)!

Wonderful Stay at Otter's Way

We hosted our family Christmas gathering here. The pictures do not do the property justice. It is simply lovely. My only recommendation would be a sign in front of the prroperty to make it a little easier to recognize the property. While we did not have any problems finding the property, some of our guests did. However, we were very pleased with our stay. We are definitely considering staying again.

Polar Express Weekend

Our family enjoyed our stay. The house everything you would need. Plus! Our grandchildren loved the toys and the bunk room. We did the Christmas train ride which is only 10 minutes away!

Fabulous girls weekend.

The kitchen is amazing!! It is huge and fully stocked! 6 ladies had the best time here. We laughed and drank wine and walked the creek! It is a perfect fall weekend away!

Clean & Comfortable!

Otter’s Way was adorable - lots of little details and comforts provided including binoculars to watch the otters playing in the water. For an older home, it was well cared for with updates such as Roku smart TV’s and decent Wi-Fi. Lots of places to hang out with the covered back deck and kitchen being the favorite. Responsive host, plenty of room and comfortable beds - we plan to stay again!

The property is very large and peaceful with nice open space. The home is also very large and spacious with a comfortable and homey atmosphere. Kitchen is well stocked and owner is gracious with offering snacks and possible necessities. Easy to find by GPS, even in the dark. Easy check in and entrance. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Quiet and off the beaten path

If you are looking for a place to unwind with the family, turn off the electronics, read some books, play some broad games, and hang out on the balcony, this is it. The kids can still being their gameboys and plug in to the tv, or surf the internet at rural speeds, but the highlight of the home is the fact that it gives you an opportunity to be together as family and friends. The owners are great communicators, and we had no issues whatsoever. The road in and out is narrow at times, so take your time and let the neighbors pass. There is access to the river at the beginning of the entrance to the road in, bring smallish bait and hooks if you want to catch a fish…there were more little guys in the river, and if we brought smaller bait we were sure to hook one. We drove an hour+ to Black Water Falls Stake Park…it was a great short trip and the food at the smoke house in the State Park was great. Highly recommend.

Great get away in the Mountains!

This property was just what we needed for our family of 12 to get together and enjoy the weekend. The kids loved that they had room to run and play, the guys loved fishing, and just being able to sit and relax and enjoy our time together. We hope to return!
