We really enjoyed our stay at the Black Palace! The decor is stylish and unique with everything feeling fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together. The place was clean, which is always a plus.Check-in and check-out instructions were straightforward and easy to follow.The location is fantastic right in the heart of downtown with restaurants, bars, and coffee shops just a short walk away. A couple of cons worth mentioning: Street noise can be noticeable, so light sleepers might want earplugs (which were provided). Also, the bed shares a wall with loft B with pretty thin soundproofing, so privacy during… intimate moments… isn’t great. (Though I suppose that could be a quirky pro for some couples, haha!)Overall, we’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cool, central spot with character. Thanks for a memorable stay!

You couldn’t be any closer to the heart of downtown Springfield. This is literally in the epicenter. If you are looking for a suite to lay your head that is gothic chic, this will definitely check all the boxes. The classic, industrial touches were beautiful. The bed was comfortable. We brought a fan because we are oldish (close to 50) and it helped with street noise, but there’s ear plugs if you need a little bit more. The chandelier was gorgeous. We didn’t stay long in the room, but the time we did we were able to relax.

The room itself was excellent. Only negative is that downtown Springfield can get very noisy in the evenings. Revving motorcycles up and down the streets is apparently a popular pass time for several kids in the area. I was thankful that the owner/manager was thoughtful enough to have ear plugs available.Ultimately this didn't bother me and I will stay again.

Comfortable room. Bed was good. Air was cold!!!The Bar was loud at night but the earplugs helped a little. I wish the room had coffee cups or drinking glasses. Other than that everything was good.

Great Spot

Communication was fantastic from the time I reserved through the end of stay. The loft was nice and cool when we walked in as the outside atmosphere was sweltering. The loft was clean, simple and served us well during our stay. It is within walking distance of great spots to eat and visit. We spent the evening walking the area, ducking into a brewery, pubs, talking to folks, seeing the art and enjoying some good food.We are older but enjoyed the variety of music playing in the local venues.The morning was spent grabbing an early coffee, taking a walk, then eating at the cafe next door. This loft is one I would stay at again due to its ease in communication, cleanliness and accessibility to so many unique experiences in Springfield.

Good place to stay

Overall the stay was good. The loft was clean and right downtown so conveniently close to everything. The only issue with my stay was the outside noise. Between the noise from the bars, motorcycles, and police sirens, I found myself having a hard time falling a sleep and not being woke back up. Other than the outside noise between 11pm-2am, the stay was great.

Great Location and Great Loft!

We were in town for a professional conference but wanted the downtown scene and this was such a great choice! Owner was quick to respond and resolve the only issue we had and the space was very clean and maintained.
