Thanks for your comments. We would have notified the police if you would have told us of excessive noise from the next door neighbors. Saint Patricks Day weekend in Belmar. There was nobody staying in the hotel next to you twice. Only 1 other room here on a different floor who did not comment about the noise. You were upgraded to a King room and a late check out at no additional charge. We would have reacted to the noise if informed immediately. Our sincere apology.

Thank you!All our AC units are 2 years old or less. Window units do make some noise which people who have central air would not experience. We would have changed the unit if you informed us, but all do make some noise.

Thank you for mentioning our pristine Inn. Our superlative housekeeping staff is remarkable and follows all CDC guidelines plus. Our European Continental breakfast table is set with social distancing in mind and offers numerous items including hard boiled eggs, variety of sliced cheeses, whole fresh oranges, bananas and apples, croissants, chocolate croissants, almond dark chocolate biscotti, protein bread, banana bread, bagels or biscuits, jams & jellies, salmon cream cheese, vegetable cream cheese, oatmeal, grits, hot chocolate, 22 teas, 4 cereals, organic yogurts, fresh orange juice and daily additions. Identifying yourself as "Anonymous" is unfair and does not permit me to directly address your issues. Off season rates are less than half our normal rate. You had the least expensive room by choice, which in fact is larger than our competitors. There are other magnificent rooms at the Inn for the appropriate rate. Congenial, engaging people always welcome here. We appreciate constructive comments and are thankful for all our guests during these challenging times. Be well.

We follow all COVID guidelines and have made necessary adjustments. Manhattan bagels, salmon spread, Jalapeño cream cheese, Inn made banana bread, oranges, clementines, apples, bananas, hard boiled eggs, croissants, whole grain rolls, house made strawberry jam, apricot country preserves, chocolate chip muffins, 6 different yogurts, fresh squeezed OJ, organic & regular tea selection (21), regular & decaf coffee, half& half, organic milk, fresh cut pineapple or papaya and other selected items are a far cry from No breakfast. Most guests enjoy breakfast on our expansive porch. All of our guests are pleased to be here and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s business, especially during these challenging times.

Our breakfast table tent does mention breakfast sandwiches available on request. We are still not permitted to serve indoors as per the Governor. As we are in the middle of a pandemic we are following ALL the Governor’s rules and CDC guidelines. IMPORTANT INFORMATION was sent to you in your confirmation and is also located on our front desk, information table, menu board, Parlor, Dining Room and on each guest floor. As with most hotels and Inn’s during this time, we are limiting the potential exposure of our team and simultaneously looking out for our guests and not refreshing rooms during your stay. However, had you requested this to be done and our housekeeper to enter your room we would have been glad to offer this service. The information we provide also asks that you inform us of any special food requests. Many of our guests are bringing their own specialty items which we can toast or warm. Our current Breakfast also includes organic hard boiled eggs, 3 berry house made muffins, chocolate chip muffins, Manhattan bagels with salmon spread, vegetable cream cheese, Inn made banana bread, Almond butter and my Mom's favorite Skippy, 5 cereals, warmed croissants, premium organic OJ, selection of organic jams and jellies. This seems to be a vast selection given our current circumstances. We will be serving in our dining room when the Governor permits and are looking forward to the days when our delicious French toast or Frittatas can be served. There is NOT any old or worn bedding and certainly not any motel type items. We use Greenwich Bay organic products and buy American whenever possible. Warm touches are an unacceptable idea during a pandemic. We are sorry you did not address any of your concerns during your stay so we may have had the chance to discuss. Leaving in an anonymous review, especially at this time when so many family owned business have lost so much, is unfortunate and denied us the ability to have made your stay more pleasant. We always welcome worthwhile comments and constructive feedback as this environment is new for all of us. We are never rude or unfriendly and resent those inaccurate remarks. Please note that your billed room rate included the 14.625% NJ tax rate. This review sticks out like a sore thumb. Read the others.

Thank you for sharing your comments. Mandarin(sp) is a hotel and we are a Bed & Breakfast, a very unfair comparison. Your room was $229 (not $300) and you were not happy with the additional charge for the 3rd person in the room. Beach badges at $10 per day and breakfast were included for all 3 people in your room. The afternoon snack of watermelon, Inn baked chocolate chip cookies, iced tea, iced green tea and whole fresh organic fruit is included. We upgraded you to a $399 room at no additional upgrade charge so you could have a pullout sofa and not a rollaway bed. Smiles do exist behind the masks that we and our guests are all required to wear. Pristine is how we have always been rated in reviews and we have added all CDC guidelines including UV-C Light. Indoor dining service is not permitted so we do not have our normal delicious breakfast served for now. We watch the Governor daily to see when this will change. Breakfast items that you did not mention are Inn made banana bread, organic jams and jellies, Almond butter AND Skippy (my Mom's favorite), 5 cereals, warmed croissants, Manhattan bagels with salmon & vegetable cream cheese, apple butter, organic hardboiled eggs, premium squeezed organic OJ (not Tropicana), etc. IMPORTANT INFORMATION is framed on our breakfast table and reads “Please ask for any additional food requests”. We welcome any other food suggestions to consider during these very unusual times and try our very best to honor individual requests within reason.
