We booked this home so our visiting family could stay together for my nieces’ joint graduation celebration. While the house was spacious, it felt outdated, and the experience left us frustrated and disappointed.I reached out hours after booking to clarify that our group was larger than originally entered. I was told, “We will not be held responsible because you failed to read the rules & extra guest fee’s,” and charged 360 in extra fees. When I said this changed the feasibility of using the space, I was denied a refund and told the charge was for “extra linens and beds being made-up.” Despite being honest, no accommodations were made, and we had to rent another venue, which meant limiting time with loved ones and juggling plans.We also faced serious health concerns. There was visible mold in both bathrooms and a leak in the laundry area. I sent photos to the host’s phone, but he responded only with cleaned-up photos that looked nothing like ours, then stopped replying. My immunocompromised guests had no safe option, and all eight of us had to share one bathroom.The upstairs shower was slippery, nearly causing accidents. Kitchen supplies were limited, and the unclear mention of surveillance in the contract raised concern. What should have been a joyful celebration became stressful and disappointing. The lack of empathy and unwillingness to work with us cast a shadow over the stay. I would caution future guests to carefully consider these issues before booking.
