This house was great. The only issue were the floors being a little dirty. But can't beat the location and shoreline! Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Family fun at the Lake House

We had eight stay at Sandy Feet rental. Our two daughter, their husbands, two grandkids and with us. We stayed at Sandy Feet rental for 5 nights and had a great time. The rental was well equipped for our family. We enjoyed the beach, swimming, using our boat on Spirit Lake, visited some family fun sites and did some major relaxing.

Loving Lake Life With the Fam

Our family of 8, ages 8 to 65, found the Sandy Feet Retreat to be a fabulous place to celebrate July 4th at Spirit Lake! We found the four bedrooms to be comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and enough room to hang together or spread out! We so enjoyed coffee on the deck, grilled dinners, s’mores at the fire pit, and beautiful sunsets and firework displays from the dock. The hoist meant that we could jump into the boat at our leisure all week. Arnold’s Park, Hy-Vee, Walmart and the YMCA are just a quick drive into town. We met several of our neighbors and they were very kind and super helpful!! We’re already planning our next trip to the area. Thank you!

Nice get away

There were 13 of us and we fit into the property well. The house was very nice and clean. The dock was fun, we spent a lot of time In the lake and by the propane fire place at night. The last day the lake was full of algae, we swam anyways but it was kind of gross. The neighbor came over the first night to let us know quiet time is at 10. The houses are close so there isn’t a lot of privacy. Overall, we had fun and enjoyed the property. Bridget answered my questions quickly and was very responsive.

Great weekend

The house was great. Unfortunately between the E. coli and the rain we didn’t get to enjoy the beach area. There was plenty of space for all of us. When your gps tells you to turn into e village go to the next road (also e village) if you are coming from the south. Be sure to pack your own wash clothes and bath soap/shampoo. I didn’t read carefully of what all was included. I normally pack all mine anyway but some of the guests did not. Overall great place to stay!!

We gave this VRBO a five star rating for all the great things! If we could give a 4.7 we would only because of some maintenance issues we felt could be better (not the maintenance person or office) and cleanliness. That being said, these things can be expected when renting a rental property and the living areas inside were clean-nice sheets and bedding, clean floors and kitchen/baths. Our stay was back to back with another renter and I believe this makes a difference of time being able to address everything. Great stocked kitchen with nice pans and cooking items. Spacious. Beautiful in and out. Our own sandy beach and dock which we loved. Several options for sleeping. Nicely decorated. We loved the fire pit and option to use the fire box for roasting marshmallows. We wished the patio area was a little better cleaned and hopefully then wouldn’t attract as many insects. We were visited daily by an outdoor long haired tabby that felt like our own (kids). So many good memories. We really loved this stay and hope to rent this space again! Thank you!

Great place.

Everything was great. Plenty of space for all of us and the lake was beautiful. One thing tho, GPS brings you to the house via a private drive way. The gentlemen the live there don’t like it that people use that route. I would just make sure when you send the directions out to specify using the 2nd drive way. They were nice to us, but might help keep the locals happy. Thanks.

Great family trip

All in all it was a great place to stay for our family. It was big enough for all of us, great access to the beach and water for the kids to play, and we cooked all of our meals there. One issue we had was in the upstairs bedroom when we opened up the closet, there was no panel in the ceiling and we could see straight up into the attic. We were afraid of something flying in from the attic, and also it was extremely hot, so we could not put our clothes in there and just kept the door shut. We called the property manager and someone did come out the next day and put a temporary fix on that. Another issue we had was when we went to use the grill, there was no gas in it so we had to go get that filled back up. We assumed that the gas Would’ve been included. But other than that everything went fine and we had a great time.

Great place for family

We loved our stay at this property. The house has everything you would need. Just bring food and yourselves and you’re good to go. The beach was great and it had great shade from trees. There is a box of beach toys for the kids. The first night the water was covered in algae and coated the children but it cleared the next day and was great the rest of the time. The home was very clean and beautiful. The only concern was that there were some towels with dried vomit on them. Would recommend this to anyone with a family. Would not recommend for a party group as the neighborhood is there permanently and there are many small children very close. Lots and lots and lots of sand everywhere!! Would recommend this home and we will be back!

Beautiful house but stressful experience

Rented for a fun girls weekend. Thought firewood would of been included and extra paper towels but had to drive into town 15 minutes away for both. Someone in the group got sick and had to go to the hospital and ended up having to go into surgery and we are being charged for a medical emergency we couldn’t control and we spent a full day trying to clean up the incident.
