Quiet and cozy

Located down a cul de sac with no visible neighbors allowed for a quiet, relaxing cabin like feel to relax in the evenings after chasing waterfalls at Fall Creek Falls State Park. Close to stores/gas station. BBQ pit worked great, space to play card games /board games in the evening with the kids. We had a wonderful time!

Quick Getaway

I stayed here with my partner, two daughters, and our dogs. The space was open and well-laid out, extremely clean, well-stocked, and very serene. The property was secluded but you didn’t have to go too far to get to necessities and it’s well placed for outdoor activities.

Great property. The road in was a little bumpy, but no big deal with a truck. It really lives up to its street name! As described, and very peaceful. Had everything we could possibly need, and then some. We truly enjoyed this beautiful property.

Short Getaway Waterfall Adventure

We had a lovely visit at the Lazy Bear Cabin. The cabin was the perfect size for our family and was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed finding our way to the waterfall in the yard (phew - it was a steep trail!) and also playing games from what they had in the cabinet - many of our family favorites were there! We never even once turned the tv on. We were able to visit 3 of the state parks with the amazing waterfalls, and the cabin was pretty central to all - pretty much a 30 minute drive in any direction. There are more parks we didn't make it to, so hopefully in the future we will be able to venture back and stay at the Lazy Bear again.

Beautiful Cabin/Great Location

Beautiful, clean cabin with everything you need to make you feel at home. The owners were super helpful with everything! We loved sitting on the front porch and watching our dogs explore the beautiful property. The location is perfect to visit state parks, several of which are within a 20 - 30 minute drive. We especially had a blast exploring/hiking at Fall Creek Falls, Rock Island and Savage Gulf State Parks. Would absolutely rent this cabin again!

Weekend getaway

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin! A friend and I came to stay for a race at Fall Creek Falls and this place was perfect to rest before and after our 20 miles. Perfectly clean and very well stocked kitchen. The couches and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend

Great Location for Waterfall Chasers!

The cabin was great! Very clean and as advertised. We loved using the fireplace AND firepit (wood provided). Very secluded. We were traveling to hike and explore trails and waterfalls. There are so many options within a 30 minute radius. We especially loved having our dog with us, as he does not do well without his people. Responsive owner. A great trip--zero complaints and would return!

Perfect place for relaxing and sightseeing

My sister and I decided to spend our birthdays and Thanksgiving together this year. She lives in Indiana, and I live in Louisiana, so we chose to meet in Tennessee. Despite having living in Chattanooga for 5 years, I had never been to this part of TN. The house is right between Rock Island and Fall Creek Falls State Parks. Both were beautiful, though the recent drought conditions made the waterfalls at Fall Creek Falls less impressive than usual. Rock Island allows for easier access to falls, and that was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a couple of meals out and visited a brewery in Sparta, but the cabin had the perfect kitchen and family room to spend time together. We really had everything we needed (except a blender for margaritas), and we all enjoyed the extra touches, like the games, the roomy couches, blankets, fire pit and chairs, and the amazing water pressure. The house is close to everything, but is secluded and private. We brought our 15-year old Lab with us on this trip, and she enjoyed exploring the yard, though I needed to keep her from going too far downhill since her ambition is bigger than her body can handle these days. It was so nice to find a dog dish, which we used as her water dish, and doggie waste bags. This was one of the best properties I've ever found through Vrbo, and I'm so glad we got to spend our special days together here.
