Everything about the stay was great. The loft was clean, the rooms comfortable, and the kitchen had all the essentials for daily meals. The location was quiet but only a short walk to main street or down to the dock. We enjoyed the view and watching the wildlife from the deck. Overall a wonderful place!

This property was perfect for our weekend getaway to ANP. It was very clean and quiet. We especially enjoyed the fire pit on the deck in the cool evenings after long days of hiking. We’ll be back again!

The accomodations were very nice and comfortable. Although there was warning about the steps, they were quite steep, and a lot of them; not all older adults may be able to manage them with a suitcase. One person in the second bedroom felt it was initially hard to fall asleep due to people talking outside, but we had the windows open. The person in the master bedroom did not hear anything. Convenient, less than 5 minute drive, to restaurants. Twenty minutes to the busier part of Acadia. About 5 minutes to featurs on the "quiet" side of Acadia. Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend!

The barn loft was great for us! Very comfortable and well supplied. We stayed here to visit Acadia and the location worked well for us. The owner did such a good job creating this space.Southwest Harbor was a good choice since its near ethe park but quiter than Bar Harbor. I would highly recommend the barn loft!

This is a great place: clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked. We enjoyed sitting by the fire table on the deck in the evening and watching deer in the yard. Southwest Harbor has restaurants but is quieter than Bar Harbor which we liked. It is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We loved this place and truly enjoyed being on the quieter side of the island. It's immaculately clean and comfortable. We did some cooking and enjoyed wine on the deck.It's an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We ate at Thurston's Lobster Pound. Really good. And we went on a lobster boat tour with Jason Clark, who is located in Southwest Harbor.You will need to bring your own soap or body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Everything else we needed was there. I would definately stay here again if we're back on MDI.

There was so much preparation put into this place. They went above and beyond in making the place comfortable and homey. Loved the information book that told us everything from what was expected from us from the stay to where we could go to get groceries, church and a phone number for a taxi if we needed it. Such a great stay

Great place to stay for a family vacation. Close enough to walk to great food and shops without the busy “tourist season” hustle and bustle of other areas. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Barn Loft and our time in Southwest Harbor.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barn loft. Check in and check out was easy, the place was clean and spacious. It was stocked with everything we needed. Location was great! My family had a great time playing Acadia Monopoly. It was an Easy drive to hit the scenic spots. We sat outside on the deck in the evening. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We had the best experience at this adorable loft. Our kids loved it too! It was very clean and easy to use and anytime we had a question, our host would respond in a very timely manner. We are a family of 4 and having the two bathrooms and two bedrooms with a spacious communal area gave us all the space we needed. Also, having the outdoor deck was a necessity we didn’t know we needed being in the North fresh air. We saw shooting stars every night while using the gas fire making smores. Another plus was the black out shades because we didn’t realize how early the sun rises out here. We appreciated that otherwise the kids would have been up at the crack of dawn every day! It was easy to drive to NE Harbor and Bar Harbor from this house and it has super cute coffee places around the corner. We also loved being 5 minutes from Beals Lobster Pound. In our opinion the pictures don’t even do the house justice- it was far better in person. You can tell when the host takes pride in their rental properties and these hosts certainly do. It was a great start to our Maine trip and we hope to be back!

This was a perfect spot for our family of four. We loved being on the quieter side of the island and enjoyed the nearby hikes (Flying Mountain, Acadia Mountain, Beech Cliff, Ship Harbor and Wonderland). The house was immaculate and comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor seating and fire.

Lovely, clean property and the host was very responsive, kind, and offered suggestions of what to do with my family. My only critiques are that it wasn’t indicated that there was no dishwasher and that the a/c unit is only in the main living area and thus doesn’t cool the bedrooms that well.

Awesome Barn Loft!

Our family had a great stay at the Barn Loft. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a beautiful area! Close enough to Acadia to enjoy all the park has to offer but without all the congestion. We would certainly stay here again!

MDI marathon weekend

This was the perfect place to stay for our groups MDI marathon weekend. We were super close to the finish line in Southwest Harbor, which is more peaceful than Bar Harbor. Both BH and SWH have plenty of great restaurants and Bar Harbor is only a 15 minute beautiful drive.

Great place to check out Bar Harbor and Acadia!

Roomy and beautifully done! The hosts were spot on and friendly . Nice kitchen, deck and clean . Short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor . The little Southwest Harbor town itself around the corner and had a few restaurants and shops to offer . Highly recommend

Perfect get-away

This spot was perfect for our trip. Our destination was Acadia NP, The main park is 30 mins away and a couple of hikes are only minutes away. The town of Bar Harbour is also 30 mins away, so the location was great. The place is quiet, with a beautiful balcony and firepit, the pit ran out of propane and within minutes the owners had it replaced, can't ask for more than that. Everything we needed was supplied, beds were comfy and place was clean. Thanks for the hospitality, would stay here again if ever in the area.

Great long weekend!

Everything about this rental was wonderful. The newly-renovated space--so open and comfortable. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and across the "causeway" to a great hike in Acadia at Flying Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!
