The house was immaculate upon arrival. All rooms were stocked with linens and towels. The hot tub was well maintained. Everything was excellent and went above expectations.

Overdue review from our stay in August. This place was literally perfect for us--the on-line description/pictures are 100% accurate (unlike some that use clever photography to make the place look bigger than it is), the kitchen is roomy and well supplied, and it was very clean. It is within walking distance to the shops and eateries in South Harbor, and the wall of window in the front look out over the harbor. When the fire pit seemed to be missing, the owner answered my message immediately and it was quickly sorted out--including her offering to send someone late at night to retrieve it from the basement storage area! The whole week was like that--whenever I had a question, she was quickly responsive. It was a great week--and since my partner suffered an injury a week before we traveled and was mostly house-bound, what a relief it was to have such a nice place. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit--and were joined by deer almost every night! Will 100% look to stay here again if/when we return to Acadia--it is very handy to the park! Thanks, Amanda, for being such a great host--we are grateful!

This is our second stay at Harbor Daze; that in itself explains our high ratings.We prefer the “Quiet Side”of Acadia. Access to Carriage Roads is easy and popovers at the Common Good is a must whenever we are in the area. This is a great nonprofit supporting the local community.The house was clean and the hot tub was a treat after biking ! Communication with Amanda was easy and incredibly fast. We are likely to return again !

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Amanda was very prompt on responding to any questions and providing us with different options to see and eat. Southwest Harbor is approximately 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. It is a real quiet and quaint area. Watched the sunrise at Seawall. Drove all around the island. Food was great. bar Harbor is busy, but beautiful. House is across the street from a large marina. Nice sort walk to see it. We would recommend this place. Thanks

Family Vacation to MDI

We enjoyed the entire home. Everything was perfect. The home was spotless. Comfy beds. Kitchen stocked with all your needs equipment wise. Heat and A/C worked great. Hot Tub was a big hit with the whole Fam. Washer and dryer worked. Love the location on the quiet side with great restaurants all around you.

Love the Southwest Harbor area and this location was a walk into town and short drive to ocean at Seawall. Hot tub was a treat after days of biking. And Amanda was amazing with her quick response to any concerns.

A great home base on MDI.

We had an excellent stay at Harbor Daze this August. The house was extremely clean, functional, and had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for the week. The highlight was coming back from hikes and bike rides and being able to soak in the hot tub! The house had nice views of the harbor and was close enough to walk to a few places for dinner, which was really nice.

Staying in Southwest Harbor

We found that the property was well maintained and contained just about everything that we needed. Our grandchildren in particular liked the hot tub. When we needed extra chairs for around the table for dinner, our host was quick in delivering them to us. We enjoyed having a meal on the deck and found that we could easily walk into town.

Gem in Southwest Harbor!

We had a fantastic stay at Harbor Daze! We’ve been to SW Harbor several times in the past and this location and home did not disappoint. Extremely comfortable for our group of 6 (4 adults and two older teens). The one double bed was a little tight for a couple but we made it work. The kitchen was extremely functional and the location with a beautiful view of the harbor made for an easy short walk into the center of town. Would happily stay here again on our next return visit!

Location, location, location!

My family and I loved staying here! It was centrally located to many of must sees on the island and it’s located in a quaint little harbor - Southwest Harbor. It’s walkable distance to shops, restaurants, and downtown area. The hot tub was great too after a long day exploring. Pictures are accurate and the rental was clean. Check in/checkout was simple and easy.

Comfortable home away from home

Four adults were more than comfortable in this beautiful harbor home. We walked to town, supermarket was close, marina/harbor views were lovely, and the hot tub felt amazing after our long hikes in Acadia. Kitchen and home were overall well stocked and Amanda was very responsive. We loved it! Hope to return someday.

Great, quiet location

Everything was as described. It was just my husband and I that stayed and there was PLENTY of room if we would have been traveling with others. The washing machine didn't work, but the host was accommodating with an alternative solution while we were there. If we ever come back to the area we'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to enjoy Acadia

We loved everything about our stay. From the kitchen having what we needed, to the hot tub and fire pit being just what we needed after a day of hiking, to the comfortable living area, it was all as advertised and perfect for us. Comfortable rental

Great place. The only complaint is that the cable didn’t have signal so we couldn’t watch movies at night. House was clean and comfortable. Location was great and we really enjoyed eating dinners on the deck.

Relaxing, Convenient house

Great location for trips to National Park, shops, restaurants, harbor. Enjoyed the hot tub- though it was snug for 4 adults. The traffic on Main Street was a little loud for sitting on the front porch- but could barely hear it in the house. Beautiful sunrises.

Beautiful property!

We had an amazing time during our stay! The property is very clean, spacious, and has pretty views from the windows and deck. The location is fabulous, close by to restaurants and coffee shops. We loved spending time in the hot tub after a day of hiking. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Perfect quiet side location

My entire family fell in love with this rental. The layout is simply amazing with so much open space. The rental had everything you could want, and the hot tub was just that little extra that just further enhanced the relaxation. It is only a 25 minute drive to Bar Harbor so it is close enough, but all the necessities such as amazing restaurants and a local grocery has everything you need. Five stars for sure and we would definitely vacation here again!! Thank you, Jane, for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Relaxing week at Harbor Daze

Four of us (2 adults and 2 teens) were very comfortable in this house. We walked to town regularly and it was easy to drive to many parts of Mount Desert Island. The house is very clean and well kept. We loved using the hot tub after long hikes! Definitely recommend Beall’s & Charlotte’s Lobster Pound for casual meals. Also enjoyed Eat-a-pita for a more upscale dinner. The bike shop up the road, Southwest Cycle, was extremely helpful for a repair. Favorite hikes: Flying Mountain, Acadia Mountain, Wonderland and the carriage road at Brown Mountain (closer to Northeast Harbor). Happily took advantage of the free EV charging station in town (by the police station). Would definitely stay here again!
