Visit Home
our stay was for personal reasons as we are born and raised in CT and have family here. We had beautiful weather, we were two minutes from the beach, and centrally located to 95 and the Merritt parkway. Everything was very close, especially the little village of Southport with Sammy's pizza and the little bakery Sono. Overall the stay was great and the cottage was wonderful. it me all our needs. Thanks to Jeff for being such a great host.

Charming property in great location
Just as described! Spacious 1 bedroom with large kitchen. Location is great! I was there for business and the weather was snowy, so no trip to the beach. But it's right across the street

Wonderful stay - it is winter so we were able to walk our dogs on the beach everyday. There is also a great food truck that parks at the beach for breakfast.

The place is cozy, clean, and private. It has large windows and lots of sunshine. A beautiful beach is 5 minutes away on foot. The bathroom is very nice and has a washing machine. Nice kitchen. Highly recommended.

Wonderful!
It was as great as other reviewers said. The pictures did not do it justice. The apartment is bright and spacious. The kitchen well stocked. Only one block from a beautiful beach. Jeff our host was responsive when I texted him and very respectful of our privacy. Definitely will rent again from him and through VRBO.

Southport getaway .
Jeff’s home is in an ideal location. The carriage house apartment is set back from the road making it a quiet and peaceful location. The size of the apartment was spacious for my husband and I. A perfect alternative to a hotel. We did not travel with a pet, but this is a pet friendly home. I mention this as we have family members with serious allergies and this would be a consideration for any hypoallergenic travelers. Jeff was quick in responding to questions and despite apartments proximity to homeowners dwelling completely private.

Charming Southport guesthouse
Beautiful guesthouse with lots of sunlight and lovely views. Fully stocked kitchen which we didn't use. Our rescue mutt enjoyed the beach as well. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable convenient hotel alternative
We selected this guest house as a spacious, dog-friendly alternative to a hotel for our recent trip to Westport to visit friends. The property is clean and well-equipped in a perfect location for dog walking, Southport beach and quick drives into Southport and Westport. The property manager is highly responsive and delivered a great experience, just as described in the listing. We will look forward to a return visit.

Peaceful and great location!
Was a nice little getaway for our family of 3 + dog. Our four year old son loved the convenience of the beach across the street. The neighborhood was super nice quiet and serene. Owner is on-site and responsive, helpful and accommodating but also provided complete privacy. Overall, Super cute and great location!

Lovely Stay in a Picturesque Location
We truly enjoyed our stay, the place is equipped with everything you need and our hosts went out of their way to make it even more pleasant. Check in was easy, bed is comfy and it has a great stove if you prefer to cook over going out. We would recommend this property to friends and family. Being able to walk across the street to the beach with coffee was dreamy!! Missing CT already!!

Home away from home
My husband and I are from the area but chose to stay separate from our families due to the pandemic. This apartment was the perfect fit for our needs. It had just the right amount of room for the two of us and our small dog. It also had a good layout between kitchen, living room, and bedroom that provided some needed separation since we were both working remotely during our stay.

Jeff was a great host, and the apartment was larger than it seemed in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise. Great location for long walks with the dog and convenient located near i95. Highly recommend.

Great Spot!
My husband and I were attending a wedding in Westport and decided to stay in this property for the weekend. Everything was perfect - - the location, the accommodating owners, the comfortable and clean apartment. Would highly recommend as an alternative to a hotel for anyone spending a weekend in the area.

Hidden Gem in Southport
Jeff’s place provided a perfect getaway for me and my daughter. The space and property has a relaxing, minimalist European feel. The moment we drove down the long pebble driveway, we felt transported to the South of France or a Tuscan villa. With a charming little beach a short walk from the apartment, great local dining, and a well appointed kitchen-it has everything a traveler needs. I’m already thinking about when I can return for a longer visit next time!

Great place for a getaway
This is the second time I’ve stayed at Jeff’s property. It perfectly suited my needs for a quiet weekend getaway. It was walking distance to a small beach and close to many breweries, restaurants and shops.

Beachside Gem!
Our 10 day stay was very comfortable, cozy and accommodating.. The beach access across the street was wonderful! The view from our dining table each day was so beautiful. Cute little cafe down the street. We had friends and family visit daily and they loved it too! Very, very happy we booked early for this gem. We’ll probably be back!

Ideal budget beach stay
Jeff was a fantastic and kind host. The apartment is newly renovated and spacious, and it could not be better located!! It is right across the street from a charming and quiet bay beach that has lifeguards and bathrooms. The street is so peaceful and we enjoyed BBQing in the yard and watching fireflies. We loved our weekend so much at this property and it was a great starting point to get beach time and explore the area. Thanks for a great stay Jeff!

Comfortable and convenient location
We stayed 10 nights for the Thanksgiving holiday and found the property very consistent with our needs. We didn't do much cooking there, but the kitchen is well-equipped. The furnishings are adequate for two people. The apartment is over a garage and it was very quiet. We never saw the neighbors. Close to the beach and Pequot Avenue is great for walking or jogging. The village of Southport is very close and has everything you need. Fairfield has plenty of good restaurants. We like Artisan, Toto, Brick and Wood, Walrus+Carpenter in nearby Black Rock, and Terra Sole. Would stay here again.

weekend wedding stay
Jeff's place was just perfect and very comfortable as we were in the area for a wedding and really didn't want to stay at a hotel. It worked out perfectly and we enjoyed the accommodations immensely. The real treat was sitting with cappuccino in the morning and being able to see Long Island Sound. We're real water people and the access to beach and beauty was just across the street. Off the charts easy check in and out. Just wish it was warmer.

Fantastic rental in lovely location.
Jeff’s rental was even nicer than those gorgeous pictures in the ad. The home was in a nice community that was easily walkable to the small village. Jeff answered any and all questions within minutes. Great restaurants a very short drive away. I’m already planning to return next summer. This is a wonderful property in a lovely area, and Jeff is a very gracious and accommodating host.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped! We had four of our children join us for dinner, and we were all able to sit around the dining room table (with the loan of a few chairs from Jeff.) Our two-year-old granddaughter loved the quiet beach. I enjoyed biking in the area and looking at all the lovely old homes. We would definitely return!

a lovely, well-maintained apartment that's a short walk to the beach. With lots of showy mansions in the area, this house is a pleasant contrast. Wish we'd booked a longer stay! (Our only complaint is very first world: the coffee-maker requires specific pods we couldn't find. We had to :::sob::: buy our coffee elsewhere.)
