The Space:

The Piggery is a comfortable and well-designed countryside retreat, ideal for couples, small families, or relaxed short breaks.



The accommodation offers a cosy living area with comfortable seating, a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering stays, and a calm, private atmosphere throughout. It’s an easy place to settle into, whether you’re staying for a couple of nights or a longer mid-week break.



The sleeping areas are designed for comfort and rest, with quality bedding and a quiet setting that makes for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom is clean, modern, and well maintained.



Outside, you’ll find a peaceful rural environment with space to arrive easily and park on site, making check-in and check-out simple and stress-free.



The Piggery is best suited to guests looking for a quiet, comfortable base in the countryside, with easy access to nearby towns and local routes.



For larger groups, this barn can be booked alongside our sister barn The Oak Barn, sleeping up to 12 guests in total.

Durley, located just outside of Southampton, is a charming village that offers the perfect blend of countryside tranquillity and convenient access to city amenities. Its picturesque setting is characterized by rolling fields, woodlands, and quaint country lanes, making it an appealing choice for those seeking a peaceful, rural break.

Nearby Bishops Waltham, just a short drive away, offers a range of independent shops, cafes (We highly recommend Josies), and small supermarkets. For those who love the outdoors, Durley is surrounded by scenic walking and cycling routes. The South Downs National Park is also within easy reach, offering endless trails for hiking and exploring nature.



Just a short drive from Durley, Marwell Zoo is a family favourite, offering a fun day out for all ages with its wide range of animals and conservation programs. Itchen Valley Country Park is also perfect for nature lovers, this park provides extensive woodlands, trails, and picnic spots and for the little ones, Paultons Park & Peppa Pig World is a well-known family theme park is less than 30 minutes away, offering a fantastic day out for families with children.

Hedge End is a very short drive away offering a large array of shops for home living, food and lifestyle.



Durley is very well connected despite its rural setting, with easy access to both the M3 and M27 making the likes of Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth readily accessible. Southampton airport is also within a 20 minute drive, making the Barns ideal for guests both domestic and from abroad.

For your comfort, an initial supply of firewood is provided. Should you wish to enjoy extended use, additional firewood can be purchased locally or brought by guests.
