My friend and I were visiting with other friends who were in the area, but they didn’t have room to put us up overnight.
The Escape Inn was every bit as charming as the website indicated. We were greeted by Lisa, the manager, who graciously carried our bags up to our second-floor room. (My friend and I both are in our 80s, and the bags were a little heavy for us.)
The room was very spacious and charmingly decorated, and the beds were pretty comfortable. Not the same as being home, but not a bad runner up.
I used the mini-refrigerator for my leftovers and found them to be quite cold in the morning.
I’m looking forward to returning there next summer.
