Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division...

"Quiet and clean, with a simple Check-In and Check-Out process. Plenty of parking even for large vehicles, and spacious rooms. Great shower and heating kept us warm during a rainy week. Easy route to get to Woolacombe beach."

"We booked this last minute and, given the price, I wasn’t expecting much—but I was genuinely surprised at how great our stay turned out to be. The accommodation had everything we needed, and the very good WiFi included in the price was a big bonus. The onsite restaurant served delicious, reasonably priced food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I also have to mention the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. If we ever return to the area, we would definitely stay...
