"This is a lovely property, so well equipped, so many items which we have usually had to take wit us or buy on arrival are provided. The weather when we were there was quite wet for some of the time and also chilly but the cottage was always warm. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. "We all had the most wonderful New Year stay at Curlew Lodge, it was spotless with some lovely personal touches such as fresh bread, eggs, butter & a chocolate cake that was delicious! "Lovely cosy cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.We loved the wildlife and the spectacular views. So peaceful and a very short drive to Barnard castle. If I'm to be picky I would say a heater would be a good idea in the conservatory for colder months. The cottage itself was really warm. I can honestly say there is nothing to complain about. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you."
