Everything was nice. Told them the fridge wasn’t working properly they sent someone over to look at it and said it was fine. The fridge never worked like it should have.

I reviewed this place on the company website also. To sum it up, the check in process was horrible. You basically have to check in with the company even if it is already confirmed. The property was extremely dirty. Not just one thing but everything (showers, floors, walls, doors, carpet, furniture). The pool was green and slimy not to mention full of leaves. I spent the first night cleaning to make it ok enough to stay. Very pricey to stay in a dirty house.

Family Vacay to SPI

The accommodations were as advertised. Enough room for our 10 family members and the management company was responsive to our needs. Pool was beautiful, house cozy and cool during summer heat. All the comforts of home and more. We will definitely visit again.

Nice home near the beach

It was a really nice stay. There was just a lot of dead bugs everywhere and some alive ones. One of the beds had a lot of stains on it. Other than those things it was a good space for the amount of people we had and it allowed everyone to be close.

Oleander house

Floor tiles broken, pool water fall broken, pool lights don’t work, bbq grill ready to fall apart, water constantly dripping in guest bath, master bath pocket door off track, carpet stains on stairs and string pieces missing on carpet, handrail inside wobbly, deck stairs rotted ready to break. Poor maintenance on this house for sure. Other than that we had a good time!

Summer family vacation

Unsatisfying The skimmers of the pool would not keep up, and anytime we wanted to utilize the pool we would have to first clean the trash and bugs out. The AC would not keep up during the day. It would have been great to be able to utilize the built in elevator for getting our food and luggage to the second floor.

Great for family

We usually stay on the beach side of padre, but decided to stay on the bay side this time. It was a bit of a pain to find parking at the beach, but that’s definitely the only downside during our stay. The house is huge! Plenty of space for our family to spread out and have a great time! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, tvs were huge. Very nice vacation home!

Great house with an amazing location

This was my first time doing VRBO and I couldn’t be more pleased. The house was as stated, clean and everything we hoped for. The check in process through SPI rentals was super easy and very accommodating. I will definitely be renting this house again.

Floor plan layout was great, however the A/c unit is too small for the house. Temperature inside registered 81 in the middle of the day. The pool was not cleaned prior to our arrival. No trash pick up also prior to our arrival. The kids had to wait 1 hour before getting in the pool. I must say that your Maintenance man were prompted after placing a work order.

Warm inside

The house was warm, SPI dropped off multiple fans to help, and had an AC company come out. The bottom line is either they need to install another unit or get a new bigger unit to keep the house under 78. Overall the house was fine, pool is nice, there are trees in the backyard they do drop flowers and leaves into the pool so expect to skim out often.

Was disappointed that the property didn't have a lot of essentials. Very limited on dishes. All there was was a few dishes and some bath towels. Had no information on how to get the wifi or anything. Pool was very dirty. No propane for the grill

Great location ... safety concerns

Home in good location ... but , in need of cleaning and repairs of multiple safety issues . SPI Rentals on the island contacted with our concerns ... manager noted all our concerns and sent maintenance to the home within an hour . Unfortunately , many of the safety issues require parts , replacement or removal and many issues were unable to be resolved during our stay . Maintenance revealed this was his first visit to this home and was surprised to see multiple safety issues . We appreciated the quick response to our concerns , but our experience at this VRBO property was disappointing . Our family has had multiple VRBO experiences ... all positive . Rentals in Palm Springs , Santa Fe , Hawaii , Hilton Head Island and Bald Head Island have all been as advertised - clean and safe . This family reunion we planned on cooking together and sharing many meals together . The expenses of food were wasted due to the oven not working ( temperature not accurate , oven door unable to shut / shoddy locking mechanism to keep door closed , oven made VERY loud banging noises for 30 minutes when shut off ) and the microwave was placed in an oversized opening in the wall , not secured and very unstable when opening . Hence , we ate out for our meals - an unexpected added expense for our family . The garbage disposal did not operate properly and backed up ... making the sink unusable . First impressions are important ... excitement for seeing our vacation home were disappointing .... the front entry was filthy - walkway dirty with hose draped across the entrance and the door was very dirty . Disappointing first impression. The pool is beautiful and large .... the pool was dirty .... we realize this is the beach .... sand / palm debris issues .... this pool was bad ... no functional pool equipment available to assist with maintenance ... my family was in the swimming pool construction business for 50 years ... disappointing . The pool area had 4 damaged chairs / exposed rusty chicken wire covering the fence and the solar lights in the backyard were non operational and made night time pool time unsafe . The VRBO listing was misleading with a photo of the bunk bed room having a usable closet ... the closet was full of mechanical equipment . Other rooms also didn’t have completed closets - portable clothing racks . The bunk bed room bathroom had a hole in the tub ... we were afraid to fill the tub fearing a flood . The list is longer ....

Family getaway 2021

This rental had it all., from baby crib for my grand baby to doggy bowls for my fur baby. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. Only one minor issue was the pool. It was a bit dirty I guess from previous guests who spent time at the beach and didn’t rinse before jumping in since there was sand in it.. other than that beautiful home.. very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.. also no cable WiFi is available
