The house was great! Perfect location to ocean, beach, shopping, other attractions.The house itself and yard is showing a bit of wear and tear ie: basketball court needs a new resurface, furniture outdoors should be replaced soon, had to call the pool guy at least three times during our one week stay. He came quickly each time but that needs attention. There is literally no general spices in the kitchen, no dish towels, no dish soap, no scrubbies, and basic kitchen utensils are at a minimum.Great supply of plates etc. however.And not a broom to be found anywhere!! That would have been very helpful to have!Garbage bags for the oversized garbage containers should be provided as well. But overall the house was great! And to have the yard fenced in was a bonus. Altho the gates didn’t completely close/latch securely.This is a great property but needs to have continuous attention to keep its quality. You are charging plenty for rental after all.We were a family of 24, all ages and had a wonderful time! Any more than that however would start to get crowded.

Family get away

Great outdoor area! Something for everyone to do! We have stayed at a number of places on the island and this was by far one of the best. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect. The only issue was the lighting in the kitchen and that was just personal preference. More lighting above the dining room table would be nice. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Room for the whole family

The house was big enough to fit 19 people comfortably. We had plenty of bedrooms. We could have used a bigger, more updated washer & dryer or maybe two.It took over three hours to do one load of laundry. It poured rain for 2 and a half days and it made it impossible to sit outside since the covering over patio leaked. The paint from the basketball court washed off and paint was in our clothes, towels, shoes, etc. It was so slippery when wet. The kids were constantly falling. Maybe a textured, waterproof cement paint would be better? We loved how SPI rentals would answer any of our questions immediately and would send help for hottub and pool when we couldn't figure it out. Great service and such nice people! The house is within walking distance of beach, shopping, coffee, icecream, great restaurants and bars with music. Sunrise in the morning was beautiful from upper deck! Great family vacation!

It was a great stay with lots for everyone to do. Also, everyone had privacy on their own room.

Check in was easy. Spi rentals wanted us to write down things that were broken or not clean enough wen we got there. Overall, it was clean, but the 1st level tile floors could have been cleaner. We would stay there again.

Very Disappointed

The day we were to check-in, SPI rental called me and said there was a plumbing issue and we couldn't stay at the property. There were already 27 of us on our way to the property at that time - some of us had flown in from out of state. For the next 2 hours, while driving to South Padre, we scrambled to try and find a place to stay. SPI rental helped by finding us 3 separate houses to stay in, but only for 3 of the 6 nights we were supposed to be there. Finally, before arriving in South Padre, we got a call that the property was fixed. Upon arrival, it was not ready until 5p. It smelled like sewage. The backyard was filthy. There was food and drinks and trash left on the upstairs balcony, I assume from the previous guests. The showers had moldy shower curtains and hair all over the walls. Because our party was so big (29), we weren't able to find a different place, so we had no choice but to stay there. We made the most of it but it was awful. The communication was awful, the house was dirty, and the photos were deceiving. It's really too bad.

Would stay again

The house is perfect for large groups or families. Large amount of kitchen supplies for cooking. Plenty for all ages to do and walking distance to the beach. It was very windy while we were there so lots of garbage around. Enough basic need supplies to get there and not have to worry about running to the store which is nice. Overall a great place and would recommend.

Definitely going back!!

This property was perfect for my large group. The pool and hot tub worked out great for us. We couldn’t get the kids to go to the beach they loved the house so much. Very clean and very easy to communicate with the property owners if we needed anything. We will be going back next year!!

Great House & Location But Lacking on Some Basics

The house was as described in the listing and the amenities when working are great. We had a problem with the pool not working (pool was largely why we booked the property). The management company were not very responsive, there was poor communication and it took 4 days to get it fixed. We turned the heating on one day as it was cold and a burning plastic smell set off the fire alarms. Two of the beds had poor quality frames and were propped up with pieces of 2x4 to support them which weren’t effective (how difficult to buy a sturdy but low cost frame?). There was google mesh Wi-Fi in all rooms but we weren’t given the password to that (reserved for owners?) and just had a password to the main Wi-Fi router which didn’t stretch throughout the house (we reverted to hotspots). Likewise the rokus in the individual rooms didn’t connect to the router because the router was using an old encryption form of WEP that is not supported by Roku anymore. There were many good things about the house, but these issues with some of the basics were sufficient that we wouldn’t book it again. Note that after the issue with the pool and the management company and pain going back and forth, we didn’t report all these issues to the management company and just put up with them - so to be fair, they never had the chance to attempt to resolve them - we just didn’t want to spend our vacation going back and forth with thr management company on everything.

The BEST property for a large group!

We had a moms and sons graduation trip to SPI, and this property was absolutely amazing! Plenty of beds and bedrooms, a large stocked kitchen, fun pool table, PERFECT back yard with basketball court that was used almost 24/7, pool and spa, and turf where our boys worked out each morning. It was a very short 2 minute walk to the beach. We were able to wash beach towels while we were there with the washer and dryer in the house. Perfect vacation rental!!!

Perfect getaway for a kids vacation

We took our son and his teammates (age 9) for a weekend getaway for his birthday. They had such a blast, there’s so much for them to do from pool, mini golf, basketball, soccer, 12 TVs for video gaming. Just an overall amazing weekend

Fun Christmas Vacation

We really enjoyed this property. The pool table, basketball goal, pool, and hot tub got used regularly. Our only real complaint was the amount of animal hair on the floors. We did a lot of cooking for our group of 18. The kitchen worked quite well and the Blue Marlin grocery store is close by for groceries. A few items not stocked in the kitchen were hand mixer, griddle, and gallon pitcher. We also used the gas grill several times. It's secured to the fence in a place with poor lighting for after dark grilling, so bring a flashlight or eat before dark! Only a short walk to the beach or souvenir shop. We had a fantastic time! Thanks for providing a great place!
