Thank you for considering the Atol St duplex. This listing is for the whole
right (west) side of the property that in total has 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms.
The space you are renting will have a two bedroom / 2 bathroom with living
room/kitchen upstairs, and a downstairs ground floor efficiency with separate
entrance that is a 1 bedroom/1 bath with living room space, sink & fridge and
door that opens to pool area.
Next door of this duplex is another identical space that can be rented in
addition, please inquire.
What is so unique is the privacy having the up/down set up is for teens,
grandma, or even splitting it between a larger family taking upstairs and a
small family down. While not a remodel, this is a cool property that maintains
its character & Island charms. If you are looking for a brand new spot inside,
this wouldn’t be a good fit as this has personality to be sure :) with that
said it is quite useable, functional & clean just older.
There is great sleeping space for up to 12 people allowed - including babies &
children. As you will have neighbors, the pool area is shared. We do allow you
to bring a BBQ grill but please not in the pool area, either use the sidewalk
on side of the duplex or in front. The garage is perfect for storing beach
gear, but not a vehicle. There is an older shared washer/dryer in the garage
area.
The 2nd floor as you enter is the main space, with 2 full bedrooms & bathroom,
an older kitchen that is still open concept to the living room great for
winding down after a long day at the beach. One of the nicest features of this
listing is the very large 2nd floor outdoor patio that has a partial bay view
for you to enjoy a breathtaking sunset cocktail.
As west Atol is a city-owned street, you can fish with kids at the end of the
street but we cannot say if you will get bites & land a lunker!
This property is just over 1.5 blocks to the public beach access point, yet
affords the quiet side of the Island. The pool area is great for sunning or
with the kids, but please do take note it is shared with the other side unless
you rent that side as well.
While we allow up to 12 total people, understand we do not provide beds for
that many. Please bring airbeds & bedding if you plan on accommodating more
than 8 people with what we provide. Towels, bed sheets, and guest toiletries
are provided as well as a professional cleaning between each guest stay.
Please understand that the max allowed is 2 vehicles here, including a golf
cart and parking on side of street is not allowed so plan accordingly.
Weekdays you should not have any trouble finding street parking on W Polaris
or Gulf Blvd. Weekends you may have to use the Convention Center for parking
which is approx 2 miles away but free.
The exact bedding is:
*Upstairs Master - King Bed + small couch suitable for a toddler or child
*Upstairs Guest (second) bedroom has an adult sized bunk bed set up with a queen mattress on bottom & double on top. This guest bedroom is not large however, but great for kids
*For the ground floor efficiency which serves as the 3rd bedroom we have another bunk bed set up with a full sized mattress on the bottom & a twin up top plus a futon with the small living room & kitchenette with sink & fridge. This space as mentioned as an exterior door on the 1st floor & cannot be accessed from upstairs without going outside. The benefit here is really great privacy!
We do want to re state so it is clear the pool area is shared with the other 3
bedroom on the other side of this duplex though you may be able to rent that
to combine to hold 24 total people perfect for extended families. Send us a

BBQ is allowed but we do not provide the grill & it cannot be done on 2nd
floor patio due to fire concerns..
We operate an office on the Island open 7 days a week 9 am to 5 pm, & we do
feel we provide great service as phones are answered 24 hours a day if you
should need assistance on location.
Please do read over all house rules before you book. This is not a party
property & unregistered guests are not allowed at any time. We want you to
enjoy the space but understand this is on the quiet side of South Padre
Island.
