Easy Check-In and Responsive Service

This is our 3rd stay at the Sapphire and it was great once again! Check-in and check-out was super easy! We had a few minor maintenance issues during our stay and SPI Rentals sent someone quickly and took care of everything.

First I want to love on all the staff , The SPI rental staff was super knowledgeable , extremely helpful , and kind. They helped me all The way thru the rental process and it made it so smooth . They were just so amazing and easy to talk to . The rental space was clean and beautifully located , the staff at Sapphire was also Amazing ! My family enjoyed our stay and made new memories .

Perfect vacation

Everything was perfect for our vacation. This condo is well stocked and very comfortable. We had three adult couples and the lay out suited us wonderfully.

Perfect Beach Vacation

Our family loved our stay at Sapphire! The condo was very well equipped and had great views of the beach. The amenities are awesome. We enjoyed the gym and my wife and daughter loved the spa. Beach access was easy and the huge pool always had space available. The location was perfect for us. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

We experienced a few minor maintenance issues that were handled quickly and with positive results. I would like to give special thanks to Joe A. for his professional and courteous attitude during our stay. The maintenance staff, especially Joey were very attentive and polite I would not hesitate to recommend SPI Rentals.

Great service

This was our 10th year with SPI Rentals and your customer service continues to be exceptional. We did have trouble with the trac lighting. There are only 4 fixtures that work anymore and that is not enough light at night for our activities. I do hope this can be fixed before next year. Thank you, Kent and Sylvia Person

Great facilities, well kept and clean. Unit was very nice, balcony views were great. Only suggestion is to upgrade the beds. Master bed frame was not sitting level due to carpet under foot board and middle vertical supports had collapsed causing mattress to sink in middle. Vertical Supports appear to be too long for height of horizontal slats. Guest beds were just very firm. All in all, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend both the facility and the unit. Our first, but not last, Padre Island visit. Thanks!

Nice condo, loud music

The condo itself was very nice with nice views, however, we stayed during Spring Break and the Holiday Inn next door hosted parties for college kids 3 nights in a row that blared music so loud nobody could sleep until it stopped at 2am every night. Also the pools were completely drained and inaccessible during our entire stay which was not mentioned by anybody at any time. Very disappointing.

False Advertising

They said a restaurant and bar was available next door but that was not true. They were closed for renovation and did not tell use when they took our money. It was a holiday week so we paid higher than necessary to get access so we did not have to drive. It was false advertising and they would not compensate us. Wasted extra money to get this location. Be careful with what they promise.

okay, not great

First, the good: location, pool, beach access are wonderful! Second, the not good: furniture is old, broken, and dirty. This is not a comfortable condo to hang out in. While the beds were comfortable, the bedding and bath linens were not great. We were given 2 towels per bathroom (worn and cheap) and the king size pillows had standard size pillow cases. We had to buy additional trash bags as well. The kitchen is not well-furnished so we ended up eating out every night. We had a great stay, but would not reserve this room again.

Nice but Updates and Attention Needed

Condo: 1) Living room pics showed all-white furniture; sofa was red/orange. I rented because of the all-white pics. 2) Little details need fixing: TV wires hanging out, missing calk and mold in shower, nicks in the walls, missing pics where hooks still on wall. 3) Furnishings old and needs to be replaced such as bedding and some of furniture, orange throw has to go as it is dingy and ratty. Property Manager: Floors were very clean and not sticky but beds messy with sheets hanging out. Towels thin and old. Had to go to off site location to check-in; should be able to check-in at condo check-in date.

Great location but a few things to consider

The check in process was a little cumbersome but that was mostly do to property manager/building manager requirements. It went as smoothly as can be expected. Just know there will be a few more forms to sign than a typical VRBO. The apartment level(10th) floor gave amazing views. The apartment was super clean and had some basic necessities to make the first getting settle easy. The place is right next door to Margaritaville and access to the beach is literally just a walk out the gate by the pool and you're there. We had only one issue and one thing to consider if you're staying. Our one issue is the kitchen utensils, specifically the knives, didn't work well. I mean we couldn't cut bell peppers they were so dull. Bring your own knives. The consideration was that the mattress in the master was very firm. If you're not able to sleep on a firm mattress it might be a thing. The furniture in the pictures does not match what's in the apartment but it's better more comfortable so that was a pleasant surprise. Overall we enjoyed our beach get away at this location.

Best Week Ever

Overall rating for this unit is EXCELLENT along with SPI to rent through. Were there a few challenges? Yes...previous renter made such a mess that we were not able to get in on time. Not a big deal for us though. Key pad messed up and has to be replaced, maintenance responded very quickly. Wish the unit had a more comfy couch for lounging more people. There were lots of dining style chairs but we are loungers and we missed our big couch. These are all minor things and did not affect our week. The unit had a wonderful view, was clean, modern and included all we needed. We rented a full size baby bed from BabyQuip that was delivered along with a beach style wagon - Lifesavers for a 2+ year old. Pool, beach, SPA, kids game room, gym-amazing. Sapphire is the best place to stay on S Padre. We will be back soon.
