Overall okay moderate inconveniences

Pros: Great location first floor with aging parents is a plus. You can walk straight to the beach from the patio. Leave your beach items outside on the patio without any worries. Cons: Master bedroom sliding door didn’t open to the patio. Living room patio door needs maintenance very hard to slide and lock. Garbage disposal in kitchen doesn’t work. Some kitchen utensils were dirty. No potholders. Remember to bring extra essentials; ie toilet paper, paper towels. The washer door hatch broke second day however complex has washers to use for $3. There weren’t any extra blankets or pillows, remember to bring your own.

Wouldn't Stay there Again

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you would want me to revise. My review is both accurate and honest. I can provide a video link if you would like. I'm sure you wouldn't want me to provide a dishonest review. The photographer does a nice job. The pictures don't reveal that this place is the next thing to a dump. The cleaning people clean down the middle. Look behind the furniture and you find dead roaches and bugs. All the cabinetry in the kitchen and baths is falling apart. The furniture looks like it came from a second hand store and the "leather" furniture is pealing. The place is so dark and dingy you almost need a flashlight to find your way around. I could go on but this should suffice. $5,000 a month should get a little more than this place offers

Beautiful

Ocean Vista is the perfect location. The grounds keepers do an amazing job at keeping the area immaculate and safe. The condo was beautiful and sat right outside the pool. Great location for families on the island! My only complaint is that there was no communication. There was no number or email to contact anyone. The AC wouldn’t get under 75 degrees which made sleeping unpleasant. We were not provided with any checkout instructions so I had to call VACASA to confirm what we needed to do to vacate. Over all the property was wonderful, the island was friendly, and our vacation was a success. With a few refinements I think this property would be a 10/10.

The property is nice, the condo could use some updating with sinks, and mirror on closet in guest bedroom is still cracked as been stated in past reviews. Some of the utensils are very old and rusty and worn and could be replaced. Otherwise I would stay here again.

This condo worked out great for my and my kids. Everything we needed other than food. Being on the ground level right by the pool was fantastic with kids.

Condo overprices with electrical issues.

The location of this property is fabulous. It is on the beach with a short walk to the water. The condo itself had electrical problems. The humidifier which we were told to leave on kept tripping the circuit breaker in the kitchen. We were very uncomfortable with this situation so we left the humidifier off to avoid the circuit breaker turning off. There was a large dead roach on the living room floor when we checked in. We had two other days where we had 2 inch roaches visit us This was the first time I've ever experienced this issue with a condo we secured through VRBO. This is also the first time I felt like I grossly overpaid for a condo. Given the electrical issues, lack of ceiling fans to circulate the air, limited lighting so the condo was dark, and the roaches, I feel like we were taken advantage of regarding the daily rate to rent the condo. This is the first time in many years I have felt this way. This is very disappointing to me.

Family Vacation

Overall our stay was wonderful. The location is perfect and being on the 1st floor was great with young children. Room was clean and stocked with towels and plenty of dishes and silverware. It did not have any dishwasher soap and you may want to pack some extra paper towels. The kids loved the pool(s) they are well kept and large enough to play in. Complex staff was friendly. A few minor things, the listing doesn’t show it but the condo comes with a small grill, kids beach toys, Lounge chairs and a beach canopy so don’t wast space packing those items. One con is the canopy is not made well for moderate winds on the beach. We fought it the entire trip which was frustrating. A more beach friendly canopy would be a nice amenity. One of the queen beds was extremely squeaky. Another item that would be nice would be some towel hooks on the patio for beach towels. Our unit also had a broken glass closet door which was concerning with children in the room, that needs to be addressed quickly before someone is injured. Overall good unity and great location!

SPI Family Beach Time

The condo was excellent - quite comfortable for 4 adults and 1 infant. It was clean, very important during this time of COVID-19 and had everything we needed! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Will stay here again!

Great condo!

Great location. Right on the beach. Easy parking which was close to the condo & quiet. Condo spacious. Had everything we needed & was very clean. We came in early February & wish the weather could have been better so we could have enjoyed the beach more. Will stay there again if we make our way back to SPI!

Nice location on the island.

While we enjoyed our time in South Padre, I have to say the condo could use a little work. The ground floor location is handy to the pool, but only the kiddie pool was heated. While the condo was fine it just needs upgrading to justify the price.
