Amazing property. We had the best time. Only complaint is the dustpan did not work as well as there weren’t any cookie sheets available or pans that could cook biscuits for breakfast

The check in process was very easy. The building is on the beach and a short walk to the ocean. We used the laundry facilities and that was convenient. We did not have time to use the pool or hot tub but they looked good and were always in use. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for making our vacation great.

First and only time staying in SPI

The condo was clean. Smaller than expected but the view was great and we had quality time spent together as a family. :)

Loved the view but the property could use some updating. Had some weather days so we rented a movie at the Redbox to watch in the evening with our Toddler Daugher and it was not working properly. Overall we enjoyed our stay

I was definitely HoodWinked

BEWARE!!! I have been here 6 times this was the worse STAY EVER the condo was outdated with old beach stuff but mostly broke down missing tile on the counter floor coming up i cut the bottom of my foot the sinks clogged the vent drips water it has mold they put a mirror to give you the illustration of a bigger room the iron burnt my daughters dress it was broken the kitchen sink leaks they had a bowl under the sink to catch the water when you spend that much and get this SMH i had to buy batteries for the remote for the tiny tv .its just bad all the way around im devastated truthfully and the wi-fi thats another story. Its sad they give you this for hard earned money we save to come here every year .

Beautiful view

We felt well prepared in knowing that this listing needed some love. However, the stove/oven did not work, which is a large reason to rent VRBO- for the kitchen and ability to eat in. The space is very cozy and felt a little cramped. Looking past all of this, the balcony and view are why you visit SPI. We had a nice time, but will probably stay somewhere else when we return.

We were impressed with Padre! The Aquarius is old and I knew that going in. If you are reasonable in that aspect you will be fine. The floor had some loose areas and a piece of tile missing from the kitchen counter. The bed is very small. I knew that going into this as well. The decorations help this condo vs. others I saw listed. I picked this unit because of the two-sided patio and it did not disappoint. All you see is ocean and it was amazing. We really just needed the condo to eat, sleep and relax on patio, not much sitting around inside. The views were more important to us than anything. We also wanted gated parking and were pleased with that. The 24 hour front desk personnel also felt secure. The heated pool was awesome. We walked the last day from the bay back to our condo, which was 0.4 miles. It was a nice walk. Many of the waterfront condos are old, so at this price point I would say it’s a good option with beach access and the views. Padre condos seem pretty expensive (in my opinion) for how old they are but we would return. Thank you for a great time.

Great location…Property not so much.

Location and view were fantastic. Unfortunately the condo is very outdated and was not very clean. Toilet is old and will not flush unless you hold the handle down the entire time. Tub is old and was not clean. Shower head flew off and only stayed on when pressure was turned way down. Kitchen appliances are very outdated and were also not cleaned well. We will not be staying at this condo again.

Great Views/Needs Update

This place has a lot of potential. It is perfect for two people, no more. The only bedroom has a FULL BED, NOT A QUEEN BED. A queen bed would not fit. That was disappointing and should have been mentioned. The three drawer smelled so bad when I opened it that we would not use it. My husband put his clothes on the couch instead. The stove vent had so much rust that it was just gross. I suggest that the owners stay firsthand to see the much needed updates. The view made all of the difference. I would like to stay here again if it was updated.

Attitude from rental company

Called ahead of time to ask about amenities not listed and about the mold problem I had read about about in a current review. Person on the phone gave me attitude. Why am I not allowed to ask about the unit I have paid almost 2 grand for? Water went down on the island the last night of our stay. When I called to ask where we should go to use the bathroom, I got attitude and hung up on me. This was from the same guy. Have no idea why he has a job there. He gets paid to answer questions from the guest or does he just get paid to sit there and be condescending to guest?.

Thank goodness for the beach!

The view was the ONLY thing this condo had! The listing stated a queen bed (it is a full). The bedroom would not accommodate a queen. The bathtub was dirty as well as the floor. Old furniture, television was literally like a computer monitor, cheap plastic chairs on the balcony, broken tile on kitchen countertop, refrigerator was dirty, and mold in several places. The mold issue isn’t a new issue, as it was mentioned in a review 2 or 3 years ago. This unit is in desperate need of renovation. It probably makes more sense to do a gut job. We have been to the island several times and have always been very happy with our accommodations. We were so disappointed but we’re enjoying the beach so much that we wanted to extend our trip. We contacted Padre Island Rentals and they helped us end our vacation in a fantastic condo in Saida (we are already planning a fall trip for a week in Saida). Back to the original rental. The only reason I gave this unit 1 star is because of the view (and 0 stars was not an option). As for the property, it was run down and needing an update. We will NEVER stay here again. I totally agree with an earlier review that stated the person who took the pictures of this unit deserves an Oscar. All areas with problems were avoided as well as the mold (we saw it immediately). Along with the queen bed description, the picture of the bedroom made it look more spacious. While not illegal, this is highly misleading & shameful. Absolutely horrible!
