Disappointing Listing

We have visited this complex many times and it is less well kept each time. The highlight is the beach and location on the lake. The listing is not correct, as there is no washer and dryer in the unit. When I asked about this to the property manager about this, they did not acknowledge the error and stated that public, pay facilities were available, very disappointing. The unit is badly in need of cleaning with sticky cabinets, dusty surfaces, grungy carpet and complete lack of basics- kettle, mugs, etc. We will not be returning.

Friend Tahoe Trip

We rented this property because we felt we needed the amenities of home rather than a hotel experience. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the front room and morning coffee in our pj’s. However, I hope the property is in line for remodeling soon. More than paint. The kitchen drawers were off track, and needs liners, bathroom needs a gut job, key pad times out and the code is too long. Carpet on the spiral staircase needs frayed strings removed. Unfortunately we experienced a small worm in one of the beds and dead ants in the other. Being girls from the country we were able to overcome these issues it would be advisable to update this property. The location was fantastic.

Came to South Lake Tahoe for my nephews wedding

Beautiful place to stay, enjoy a private beach rite on the back yard of your condo , not far at alll, enjoy the stone gas fire 🔥 pits as well , perfect for a night out! unit 515 plenty room for a family of 4 haves a kitchen with supply’s so leaves everything at home, nice clean and very quiet place the only thing second floor Does squeak a lot when kids walked around the living room. only 5 min away to the casinos, i Hop all you can eat pan cakes rite across the way and many more good places to eat .

Not good for families

The unit does not look like the pictures- the carpet is obviously edited. The carpet is very dirty. My white socks were black after an hour. My young child found a random pill on the floor when we arrived and there were food rappers visible under the couch. Check in was a horrible experience and Vacasa is punitive if you ask too many questions. The unit has a ring doorbell that was not disclosed. That camera is CONSTANTLY MONITORING YOU which was evident due to the very specific communication from Vacasa. My young children were coming and going in bathing suits and being watched on that camera. I would never have rented a unit with a camera when I don’t know who is on the other end and able to watch my young family. That really needs to be put in the listing.

Great value for family stay in April!

The good : There were enough beds in this place (5) for a larger family to stay, kid loved the heated pool and hot tub. Check in check out was easy. Paid about the same price as a nice hotel room for whole condo with resort amenities. It was clean. Heat worked well. Had cable and some board games. WiFi was good. Would def stay again. The meh: a little dated, layout was a bit weird with the only bath on the bottom floor. Mattresses were just ok. 10am checkout. Need improvement: hot water didn’t last that long for showers.

Wonderful spring snow storm

Other than the first floor being VERY Cold lol It was a nice place and easy to find. It was a very good location. The beds were very comfortable.

Did not meet expectations

While the location to the beach was breathtaking, the home itself did NOT meet expectations. The temperatures of the home were drastic and uncomfortable. With no AC or central heating the upstairs loft was incredibly hot and the bedroom downstairs freezing. There was a lack of common basics like a toaster, pot holders, bath mat, shower fan, and other essentials. The home had very limited lighting which made it quite difficult to see especially in the bathroom and shower. There was misleading information including contradicting pool codes. Lastly in the check out directions we were asked to start laundry of the sheets however there was no in unit laundry. Overall, the home was in need of cleaning and updating to make it a comfortable place to stay but the location in South Lake Tahoe and beach access were great!

Confusing updates and checkin

Property and location are great!! There is a disconnect between the local vacasa and corporate with checking in and sending updates. I received a lot of updates and different notifications from multiple phone numbers and not all of it lined up. We got several pages of instructions on checkin and online but none of it really pertained to the unit or how we were supposed to clean it up at departure. And never given a the wifi password. Most of it is vague info on tahoe parking and fines and bears. Just seems a little too automated and creates some confusion and no one wants to be calling and clarifying on vacation (especially at that price). Maybe just stay in a hotel next time or look for a privately owned property.

Great Vacation!

The property was amazing! Perfect location on the beach with a pool. The property had everything you need for home away from home (comfy beds, stocked kitchen, beach towels, games, etc.). Very peaceful and fun. Will definitely stay again!

Close to beach but needs some improvements!

We just returned from our four days in this property and overall we had a great visit. We do have some feedback for future guests. Pros- - -Two minute, easy walk to beach. -Great location, walking distance to Heavenly Village (about a mile I think) - Beds were comfortable Cons- - There was no A/C. Now I realize that most of the year this wouldn't be a problem, but if you are traveling to Tahoe in July or August, it is something to be aware of. The downstairs remained very cool, but the main level and the loft were almost unbearable hot during the day. At night, with many fans blowing, it was ok. - The kitchen is not stocked with any food items, but salt and pepper. Most vacation rentals have at least some spices and oil and maybe sugar. But you need to bring it all when you come here. -Towels. only one per person was provided, which is fine if there is a washer and dryer, which there wasn't. And it was a long walk to the resort washers. - There is no where to store groceries except for the counter tops. -There is a spiral staircase leading to the loft which seems unstable. We had teens so it was fine, but if you have small children it would be dangerous. Also, the loft wall is pretty low for small children who might want to climb it and then fall. Again, we enjoyed our trip, but I just wanted to let others know about what they can expect.

Great location, but a few disappointments

The location of this place couldn’t have been better! We were very happy with the beach just steps away, plus tons of restaurants and entertainment right out the front door. The unit was very clean and the beds were comfy! But there were just a few disappointments. There’s a washer and dryer in the unit but it’s locked up with no access so you have to use the lodges shared washers and dryers which are far away from the unit and not convenient for doing laundry. I think the excuse for not letting you use the in unit washer and dryer is covid but that excuse is just kind of getting old and really isn’t ensuring the safety of the guest because you use a shared washer and dryer anyway. Secondly, you have to use the internet for the entire resort although the unit has its own internet. The shared internet gets bogged down which is a problem for us because my husband had to do some important work while we there. I called vacasa to see if we could get the password to the units internet but was told they’d call me back and never did. The third thing was we never got the passcode to the pool. Luckily my husband is tall and could reach over and lift the handle so we could get in but it was really inconvenient, especially since the pool is advertised on the rental page. There’s also bathrooms by the beach we could’ve had access to, but we also didn’t have to access code to. Fourth, pretty much every storage closet is locked up in this place. Honestly I wouldn’t have cared that much except for the pantry in the kitchen was annoying because there was nowhere to store our food. We had to store it on the counters and the kitchen is already kind of small. Lastly, this is a one bathroom unit but it sleeps 8. The bathroom is SMALL! My small family of 4 were on top of each other trying to use it and I couldn’t imagine if all 8 beds were filled. All in all, we had a fun time at Tahoe but I wouldn’t rent this particular property again or recommend it.
