The home was lovely great for families!! Lots of maintenance problems with the home. The hot tub was so dirty the maintenance man said not to use it, part of the reason I booked this property was to use the hot tub!! The oven didn’t work, the property management texted me 40 minutes after arriving to let me know that there was a “easy bake” counter top oven there for our use!! I had 2 large frozen lasagna’s to make for dinner for our family of 8, needless to say it took 4 hours to bake them separately and we ended up have to go get to go food for the kids and the adults didn’t eat dinner until after 9:00 PM!!If I would’ve been made aware of this prior to shopping for this trip I would not have bought food that needed to be baked!!They offered a second oven to use and said someone would drop it off the next day as the maintenance staff had left for the day.The maintenance man was very nice when he showed up the next day at around 11 AM and offered to leave a second countertop oven for our use, at that point, we didn’t need it. While he was there, I had him look at the hot tub and he said not to use it, it needed to be drained and refilled, there was no bromine in the floating device and the water wasn’t safe to use. As I said the home was great for our family but the management team in my opinion was awful!

Relaxing weekend in South Lake Tahoe area.

My husband, daughter and I wanted to get away for a couple of days together and thought the Tahoe area would be a great change of scene. We definitely got the relax at the house. It was beautifully prepared and well-cared for. The setting was quiet and beautiful, but still close to everything we might need. All of our questions were answered quickly and helpfully. We would definitely stay at this location or one run by the same group again.

Great Property

Overall good experience. We enjoyed the duel, primary bedrooms and hot tub. Kids also enjoyed the outdoor space to play in the snow. A few minor issues when we first arrived, but the host was quick to communicate.

Great house for groups

My husband and I stayed here with a group of high school athletes. It worked great with the separate bedrooms. The kids loved the hot tub. The neighborhood was centrally located and easy to access from the slopes and from south shore.

Great home to stay at for skiing at Sierra at Tahoe.

We booked this stay for my husbands birthday/yearly friend reunion. It fit 7 of us comfortably. And everything was clean and cozy. The property management company that runs this place was extremely communicative and answered any questions we had promptly. The jacuzzi was large and spacious and held heat well. The driveway was tight but it fit our 1 large suv and medium size suv with no issue. The home sits on a a little hill, so driving down to park in the drive way or getting out Can be a slight issue when the road is iced over. 1 of our cars didn’t have 4wd so they kept slipping. Keep that in mind when planning your stay. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals and making coffee. Fridge works well and so does the grill outside. Overall the place was great and we definitely plan on staying here again!

Our time in Tahoe

The property has no garage or carport, and on an icy night, like the one we had when we arrived, the driveway can be very slippery. The driveway also butts right up to the home, so a lot of caution should be paid to the conditions and maintaining a salted driveway (not a fun thing to do on vacation!) The dishwasher was broken the entirety of our stay. We ended up handwashing our dishes for 6-8 people for 6 days (also, not a fun thing to do while on vacation!) The kitchen was beautiful, enough room for our party to be cooking and cleaning at the same time. The homes 2 master suites were beautiful and clean, as was the kids room (bunk bed was a little wobbly), and the downstairs room. The living room was comfortable. Washer/dryer was convenient. The hot tub was great. Overall, the property is amazing. The location was perfect with easy and quick access to Sierra at Tahoe and Heavenly. There were grocery stores and gas nearby. The check in binder provided so much information re restaurants, beach/lake access options. We had a great stay.

Everything We Needed

My husband and I shared this beautiful home with our kids in their 20’s. This house is nice and big, plenty of room to spread out and the jacuzzi definitely came in handy after skiing. Would definitely use it again.

Great place in Tahoe

My family had a fantastic stay in this house. The house is big, very comfortable and well equipped. Location is very good, just a few minutes from a grocery store and around 15-20mins to the ski resorts.

Winter Wonderland

Highly recommend staying here. The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room and stocked well with towels and supplies. We had a huge winter storm so bring chains to get your vehicle up the hill. We got stuck several times with 4 wheel drive but then purchased a good set of chains.

Overall nice place

The place was nice, clean. The hot tub never got over 99 and the stairs were located a bit away. Bring shoes if it snows. Could not find firewood for wood stove. If it was in the bucket outside it was iced over. You can get some in town. Tahoe was lots of fun!!

Family of 5

We stayed at 1609 Sitka for about a week with a family of 5 and the property was well maintained, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. A grocery store is 2 minutes away (Holiday Market, which is actually a real grocery store, unlike the name implies). Nicely equipped kitchen, grill outside. We'd stay there again.

Nice and quiet house

The home was well furnished. On the second floor, there were two very large bedrooms and one large bedroom for multiple children with one more bedroom on the first floor that was a normal size. Nice and quiet location that was about 15 minutes from main Tahoe. Would stay here again!

Lovely all around

This property had perfect cabin wall decor - some just adorable - some fascinating. Kitchen appliances were top notch, property was clean (and I am particular about this being a nurse.) All the information is easily available in a notebook right on the kitchen counter ready-to-hand. Not as close to the lakeside as I had thought it would be, but easily driveable in about a 10 minute drive to stores and casinos. The only draw back to anyone looking for a place to have a large family gathering (we had a family wedding taking place in Tahoe so we had a lot of married couples attending from vastly different areas) is total lack of parking. Be aware!! If you have to have more than two cars! They are good about warning you of this fact - and regulations are strict, but the only solution offered is any family members over the two vehicles would need to go to the casinos to leave their cars and another to drive them back. The drive to the casinos is NOT Close! So be prepared to drive even longer than getting to the lakeside. I had a brand new car that I did Not want to leave overnight in an unsupervised area, and I believe? that some casino parking requires paid spaces. The only other drawback to the property for me with severe arthritis is that it would be Very helpful if there was perhaps a large flat wooden box (or something else) to use as a step for that first step up on to the porch from the driveway. That one step is a doozy. The fireplace was a delight when we first arrived with snow everywhere. I probably would not be able to stay in summer without air conditioning, even though it usually cools off very nicely in Tahoe at night, but I don’t take heat well. If we had any other family get aways I would definately consider this as long as it was one where we could easily condense family (along with clothes food and all the other Stuff you have to bring) into only two vehicles. Even the stairs were tolerable for everyone else in the family. It was necessary for me to give up the master bedroom (even though we paid for most of the rental) but one of my married children and spouse were thrilled - lol. And I had to stay in the only downstairs bedroom. It has a slightly smaller bed (a larger one in that room would be very helpful) but if I can not do a lot of stairs constantly - it was a good solution. Thanks for a lovely place, comfortable with great amenities. Compared to other Tahoe cabins at the same price point it’s Great
