Overall, the Montgomery Estates didn't meet our expectations and we were slightly disappointed. We will only return to this place if we become desperate for a pet friendly place. Below are some details.The check in process was very smooth as we arrived at 4:00 pm as required by the rental agreement. The Grand Welcome Team checked in on us (text/email) on several occasions. We appreciated that. As expected, the house was very chilly inside when we arrived, however, it heated up once we adjusted the thermostat. The upstairs fireplace lit and worked flawlessly, however the unit in the master bedroom did not light up. No biggy since it was not wintertime but want to the host to be aware.To brighten up the place we drew the blinds. We found that several of the blinds had broken strings making it difficult to open. One was not sized to the windows correctly and many were also dirty. They should all be replaced in my opinion. Have a professional do it.We were pleased with how well the kitchen was equipped. We enjoy cooking for ourselves and try to avoid the overpriced restaurants that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Please note we found the waffle iron broken and the drip coffee maker dirty with moldy spent coffee grounds in the filter, leftover from a previous visitor. Also, some of the pans needed to be scrubbed before using. We paid a cleaning deposit with the expectation the place was fully clean....just saying...The bathrooms were clean and well equipped with
