This well appointed property had everything we needed for our party of four. The downstairs area provided more than adequate privacy. The trees surrounding the property provided filtered light for the patio and the umbrella on the deck added nice shade. The kitchen is well equipped and has an abundance of cooking and serving components. Recommended.

This was the perfect vacation house for my family. The house was amazing, literally everything we needed for 4 adults and my 5 year old grandson. The spilt level each with TV room was perfect for everyone to have their own movie time. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything we needed to feel like home. The backyard was a hit for my grandson and two upper decks - one for grilling and outdoor eating and one for quiet meditation time. The wash room was perfect for after lake activities (only a 15 min drive). The best home away from home! Highly recommend this wonderful vacation home.

We were in town for a weekend soccer tournament and were able to stay at this lovely home. It was very clean and the rooms were very quiet with good blinds to keep most of the early morning light out. There were air purifiers in a couple of the rooms which not only provided excellent IAQ, but white noise as well for our younger ones to sleep soundly. The beds and linens were high quality and the appliances were all new. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful get away house!
We loved staying here. It had everything you needed almost like you were at your own house. We especially appreciated the garage to park in so that our vehicle wasn’t covered in snow each morning. The fireplace was so cozy! We would love to stay here again.

This was a nice sized house in a great location. We skied at Sierra at Tahoe, which is only about 15 to 20 minute drive. We had a relaxing vacation with no problems. The kitchen had tons of cookware and dishes and we got food from the nearby market so we saved a lot of money vs. going out. The house had lots of windows and trees in every direction.

Amazing home in South Lake Tahoe!
This is a beautiful, well appointed home located in the trees a short distance from anything you might want to do in South Lake Tahoe. Even with the record snowfall the property was lovely, and the owners have provided for every need and comfort (thanks for the excellent beds!). We have stayed in multiple homes over the years, and this one is in the top three of all time. We would love to visit the area again in the late spring or fall at some point, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Heartily recommended!

Great property. Close to South Lake Tahoe and Heavenly (10-15 minute drive). Great linens and well stocked kitchen supplies. Garage option is a must for winter. Very nice beds and TVs. Suited our family well. Only minor concern is that one of the twin beds was located in the master bedroom which is a bit awkward. Would have been utilized if located elsewhere. Also, check out time at ten can be tough. Eleven would be better for bigger families. Overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful Swiss chalet in the Sierras
The pictures on VRBO usually look better than the reality. Not for Heavenly Grotto #9. It's everything you see in the pictures, and then some. By "some", I mean the coziness of the place, what Germans define as "Gemutlichkeit". The house is superbly appointed with comfortably plush furniture, tasteful dinner and glassware, lots of pots and pans, and large and comfortable beds. It is tastefully decorated. You don't have to lie in bed staring at pictures of the owner's relatives and pets. The neighborhood is very quiet, the streets are lined with beautiful homes and perfect for after-dinner walks. However, since perfection has not yet been invented, I must find at least one fault: athough the streets were clear of snow, the inclined driveway to the house was covered by 4-5 inches of ice--so icy that our car slid down the driveway. A minor problem considering all the pluses the house offered.

We stayed at this beautiful two-story home in South Lake Tahoe for an early summer trip and had such a great time. The house was incredibly spacious and spotless ,everything was so clean and well maintained. It’s in a perfect location, close to tons of fun things to do, including the lake, restaurants, and other attractions but also secluded enough to feel away from the real world.The home had everything we needed! plenty of towels, paper towels, toilet paper, and the kitchen was fully stocked with great utensils, which made cooking easy. The modern refrigerator was brand new, and having a washer and dryer on-site was a huge plus during our stay.We made good use of the barbecue on the top deck and loved relaxing on the porch, especially with the Keurig coffee machine for our morning coffee. The backyard was really lovely too a beautiful space with enough seating for everyone to hang out and enjoy the fresh Tahoe air.The master bedroom was huge and had a spa like bathroom, which made it feel like a retreat. There was also an extra bed, so my kids were able to stay in the room with me comfortably. The house had two living rooms, and the downstairs area was perfect for other family members, it felt like they had their own private apartment with a full bath. Communication with management was excellent,they were very quick to respond with any questions we had.The large garage was great for parking 2 vehicles and loading our luggage and the neighborhood was super quiet and peaceful. We also lucked out with perfect weather, which made the whole trip even better.Honestly, everything about our stay was wonderful. We felt right at home and would love to stay here again!

This is our second time in as many years renting this particular home and I can only refer readers to my year-old comments, IOW, Heavenly Grotto #9 is as good a vacation home as you'll ever find in S. Lake Tahoe (or West of the Pecos!). the amenities are superb, the kitchen is the best equipped I've seen in a rental home (You wont find Dollar Store junk here, only top of the line, and plentiful, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, etc.).The beds are comfortable and the LR/TV room is cozy, warmed in winter by a very efficient propane fireplace. The only missing 'nice to have' item, especially during ski season, is an outdoor Jacuzzi/hot tub. I wish I owned this house!

We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay. Just a short 10 minute drive to Heavenly. The house is fantastic, clean, well furnished and a very well equipped kitchen. RNR staff was great to work with every step of the way. Having the big garage was a bonus. We stay at a lot of rentals and highly recommend this wonderful home.
