It's a huge house, laid out with a giant common area+kitchen that means a lot of folks can stick together and not feel isolated. The kitchen is nice, the location is nice and close to Riley's and Bog Dog Pizza + some other food places, easy to access being in Meyers for people coming from the Bay Area.
However, if you do aim for a group of 10-12, you'll find yourself very quickly limited by just 2 bathrooms. Definitely keep that in mind. Also, our trip had very very poor amenities. The hot tub was very yellow and smelled strongly of sulfur, so we asked to have it flushed/cleaned the next day. That was taken care of quickly, however now the hot tub was a balmy 53*F and meant that it would stay below 70*F for the remainder of our stay. I think they may have used the hot water boiler as well to fill the hot tub, because after returning we got 2 hot showers out of the boiler and then the water went cold. So no hot water, no hot tub, 8 tired folks from a day of skiing. Things like the pool table are nice, but then 3 cues have broken/missing tips, no chalk, not usable for much more than an idle excuse to stand somewhere other than the main room.
It is a nice house, the renting agency was quite helpful, but the experience was rather sub par, for us at least. There's so much potential, but the house needs some improvements to bring things up to the pricepoint it rents at. If the price was much lower, that would be OK, but in 5 years of renting for 10 folks in Tahoe, this was both the most expensive and the least enjoyable stay.
