  • This pet friendly home features a fully fenced back yard for your furry friends. Enjoy grilling on the back deck or cozying up around the fire pit under the stars. A short drive to the beach in the summer and Heavenly ski resort in the winter. Packed full of charm with custom Tahoe themed tile work thought the kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of fun bear and cabin decor throughout this lovely home! This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom has been transformed from ordinary into something truly special.

    ✏️ Please Note
    • We are permitted for up to 6 adults max plus extra kids under 5.
    • We are permitted for up to 4 cars max. There is no street parking allowed at rentals so make sure to park 2 in the garage and 2 on the driveway.
    • Our home is non-smoking.
    • Quiet hours are observed from 10pm - 8am but elevated noise will not be tolerated at any time. Occupancy is also limited during quiet hours.
    • Like most homes in Tahoe, our home does not have AC. If coming during July or August, it can get into the high 80s but we do provide fans.
    • After you book, you will be asked to sign our rental agreement.

    🚓 Local Rental Laws
    We welcome guests who are in compliance with the local Vacation Rental Ordinance. Please see the “Additional House Rules” section for full ordinance regarding parking, occupancy, noise, trash, etc. If our guests do not abide by the ordinance, there may be charges and in very rare cases guests may be asked to leave our home. Thank you for your doing your part to keep Tahoe a safe and friendly place to live and visit for years to come! :)

    - Please add the # of pets you are bringing to the reservation.
    - Dogs must be potty trained so no puppies or pee pads please.
    - Pet owners must pick up dog poop before checking out.
    - Pets must be kept off furniture & bedding. Excessive pet hair may incur additional cleaning charges.
    - You are responsible for any and all pet related damage including carpet cleans and door scratches.
    - Leash laws apply when on walks in the neighborhood.

    BY BOOKING THIS HOME YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

    LOCAL VACATION RENTAL LAWS.
    → Occupancy - We can’t have more people in the home than what we are permitted for.
    Hot Tub - *If this home has one* The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm. This is VERY strictly enforced.
    → Quiet Hours - County quiet hours at all rentals are from 10pm - 8am. There cannot be ANY noise after 10pm.
    → Noise - This home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood therefore excessive noise is not well tolerated at any time of the day.
    → Parking - We can only have the number of cars on the property that we are permitted for. Street parking, parking in the front yard or on the dirt is not allowed at rentals. Vehicles will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
    → Trash - Trash can never be left outside. All trash must be bagged up neatly and placed into the bear box next to the driveway or HOA provided dumpster. If the bear box is full, please contact us for a trash pick up. Failure to properly store trash will result in a $250 clean up fee.
    → Events - We cannot host weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties or other large gatherings at our home.
    ***Failure to abide by the above ordinance will result in an automatic charge of $2,000 to cover fines from the county. Other repercussions could include a citation from local law enforcement and in rare cases, eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid. These are not Summit Tahoe rules, these are laws put forth by the local government that all guests must abide by.

    25 YEARS OR OLDER TO RENT. You must be 25 years or older to book and be present at all times. You are responsible for everyone’s actions in your party.

    CHECK IN & OUT TIMES. Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. Our check in and out times are industry standard times for Vacation Rentals in Tahoe. Early check in’s and late check out’s may be requested. However, if we have guests leaving or arriving on the same day as your request we may not be able to grant an early check in or a late check out.

    NON-SMOKING. This home is a very strict non-smoking property, which includes the outside. Evidence of smoking including a smoke smell or cigarette butts on the ground will result in a $250 charge. If someone in your party smokes, please have them do so off the property lines and dispose of their butts appropriately.

    DAMAGE. We have a ‘you break, you buy’ policy when it comes to damage. We will do a detailed inspection after you check-out to check for new damage. If you notice damage from a previous guest or if damage occurs during your stay, please report it to us right away. Attempting to conceal or failing to report damage, will automatically result in being charged for the replacement or repair.

    HIGH FIRE DANGER. Tahoe is under high fire danger year round. The following actions are strictly forbidden: bonfires, outdoor fires, firepits, charcoal BBQs, fireworks, using the gas BBQ or gas firepit on a red flag day, etc.

    UNFORESEEN HOME ISSUES. When renting someone else’s home, issues can arise that are out of our control. We do a detailed inspection before your arrival to ensure it’s clean and all amenities are functioning but despite our best efforts, sometimes things still happen. We ask that you communicate all issues as soon as they happen so we may be given the opportunity to rectify them.

    FRAUDULANT CLAIMS. We believe in running an honest business and expect our guests to have the same mentality. Falsifying or embellishing home issues with the intention of receiving money back is something we will not tolerate.

    CANCELLATIONS. We adhere to the cancellation policy we have set up on the site you booked through. We also highly recommend that our guests purchase travel insurance. However, we are human too. If you are past your cancellation time frame, please initiate the cancellation process on your end so we can open up the home’s calendar. If the home gets rebooked, we will refund you minus a 3% cancellation fee to cover credit card processing.

    SECURITY CAMERAS. Like all vacation rental homes in Tahoe, we have security cameras on the exterior and noise decibel monitoring devices inside. This is to ensure our guests abide by the strict local ordinance. There are never any cameras inside our home.

    REFUNDS. Reporting issues to us after you leave does not often result in a refund. We prefer to handle issues while you are here in order to make your stay with us exceptional so please report all issues to us during your stay. We are much more likely to offer a refund on our own terms for failure to resolve issues rather than be asked for money back after you’ve checked out.

    SNOW REMOVAL. Summit Tahoe cannot guarantee snow removal services to the roads and driveway will be completed by the county and/or snow removal vendors. Delays during heavy snowfall are to be expected. Snow shovels are provided onsite. Guests are required to carry chains with them to Tahoe per local law.

    ICY WALKWAYS. Our walkways in Tahoe are icy so make sure all members of your party have snow boots and walk with care. We do our best to clear snow and add ice melt but despite best efforts our walkways still become icy. We are not liable for any falls or slips on the ice.

    PETS. This home is pet friendly. However you must abide by the following rules:
    - We welcome responsible pet owners and up to 2 well behaved dogs.
    - Please add the # of pets to the reservation before you book.
    - Dogs must be potty trained so no puppies or pee pads please.
    - Pet owners must pick up ALL dog poop before check out.
    - Pets cannot be left unattended inside or in the yard unless in a crate (trust us, this is when damage happens).
    - Pets must be kept off all furniture and bedding. Pet hair found on furniture or duvets will incur additional charges.
    - You are responsible for any and all pet related damage including carpet cleans and door scratches.
    - Pets must be leashed on walks in the neighborhood.

    DRIVE WITH CARE. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood where the speed limit is 25mph. Please drive with care when coming to and from our home.

    TOWELS. We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant. If you feel you will need more please bring more towels with you.

    SUPPLIES. Please do not remove any supplies from our home including but not limited to: olive oil, salt, pepper, foil, trash bags, dish pods, toilet paper, etc. Theft is not cool and not something we don’t take lightly. If you are unsure if something is yours, please leave it.

    CARPETS. Please remove your shoes inside. You will be responsible for any new carpet stains.

    PESTS & RODENTS. Tahoe is home to many pests and rodents including but not limited to mice, rats, squirrels, mosquitos, spiders, moths, bats, etc. When the weather gets too hot or cold they often times prefer to hang out inside so don’t be surprised if you come across them during your stay. We have on-going pest control services but despite best efforts, they sometimes still find a way inside. It doesn’t mean our home is dirty, it’s just a part of being in the mountains.

    BEARS. We have California black bears in Tahoe which are attracted to trash and food but will break into your cars for gum, crumbs, empty drinks, etc so make sure to always remove anything even remotely edible, roll up windows and lock car doors.

The owners very clearly put a lot of thought and care into their property. Everything was clean and the bear theme is present in every detail of the house, which is so cute. We stayed here with a 12 month old and two 19 month olds and the house was very toddler friendly.

We love the Bear Claw Trails Home!

This was one of the nicest homes we’ve rented. The home was cute, clean and everything we needed was at our fingertips! It was a short drive to restaurants, shops and beaches. We even found a dog park nearby. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay. So clean and everything we needed. I am OCD and this place lived up to my high standards. The host was beyond gracious and communicative. We want to go back again and again. Highly recommend.

Great stay

The house was immaculate.There was a real welcoming feel upon our arrival. the electric fire was lighting, the house was warm and very clean. We totally enjoyed our stay there and had no problems with anything, so no need to call property manager. The neighborhood was nice and quiet

Relaxing & Beautiful Stay

We loved our week long visit. Very quiet street that was close to so many things. Hikes, mtn bike rides & alpine lakes were all near by. The home was just as described. Large, clean backyard with lots of grass. Nice big deck that we enjoyed our meals on. Living area was very comfortable and we always felt at home. Great kitchen, which we used daily. We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully we will get a chance to return. We hope to see the 2 teenage bears & cayote again. Love the wildlife in the area. Thank you so very much!
