"We wanted something that was walking distance to downtown and the lake. This property gave both. We were able to walk to different parts of the lake from this property and easy walking to the main downtown/ Martine Museum. There is a full kitchen with most supplies. The layout of the place was nice as well. The bridge that goes over the Black River is right outside and it didn’t affect our sleeping. I even brought ear plugs just incase and never used them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay....

"We loved our long-weekend stay! A lot of space for anyone who needs to WFH a little before getting back to the big group. Loved how much room there way to stay in, watch movies, play some board games, use the game room and generally spend time together with a big group. "We really enjoyed our stay. We had 5 couples staying for a weekend of cooking and hanging out and this house is perfect for that. Every bedroom was comfortable and clean as was the main floor living area. Great kitchen with all of the utensils, pots and pans, all in great shape. Loved the open feel of the main floor as we spent most of our time there. Watched a great sunset on our first night, just across the street at Dykeman Beach. "I think a lot of the negative reviews are unwarranted. It was clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us (plus dogs). The house is old and you need to use the window AC units, but it was fine and stayed cool all day. The prices are 1/2 that of other properties in the area. The house is a few minutes away from the beach. It is a duplex, but we never had an issue with the neighbors. The only bathroom is on the top level and up a flight of steep steps.
