Family getaway
Great family time !! This house was a good fit for our family and house was clean when we got there and everything that u needed was supplied we had no problems except some of the beds were a little to uncomfortable. Would stay there again😄

Wonderful House
Very large and spacious house. Bunk beds in one room was a great idea. All 7 kids got to stay together. Huge common room by the kitchen was perfect.

Christmas with the family
Vrbo allowed plenty of space to gather all 16 for first time since Covid. Kitchen size accommodating but equipment was limited. Laundry facilities were great. Dining was cumbersome to get around large bulky table…no leg room. Bedroom set up was good…beds were a little weak. Sheets were ill fitting on some beds. Living furniture limited seating for cold winter temperatures. Forced air heating sounds like you are in a wind tunnel….tough to visit over the noise. Grateful the fire wood arrived…the wood burning stove made the living area much more conducive to sharing conversation with family. Bathrooms were acceptable space to manage our group. Hot water was exceptionally good…never ran out after multiple showers. Cleaning was surface only and in need of some deep floor, ceiling (over the stove), window cleaning.

We wanted to take a moment to respond to this review and are in the process of addressing the items mentioned in the review. The house has received and continuing to receive additional cookware etc. for the kitchen to provide a more enjoyable cooking experience for guests. The cleaners did do an additional deep clean after the holidays, and we will continue to monitor the property regarding cleaning. Sheets and towels have been and are continuing to be added to and taken aware with wear and tear that occurs on any rental. The homeowners are also making other improvements throughout the spring that future renters will enjoy. We hope future guests truly enjoy their stays at this spectacular property on the banks of the Rio Grande.

Fall in South Fork
Our family had a wonderful vacation at this cabin. We enjoyed being right on the river. The neighborhood was quiet and we took morning walk with ou dog. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. . Our adult kids had a blast playing table tennis. The weather was cool and loved seeing the fall colors in the area. Would highly recommend this property.

Enough room for a large family
This lovely house was just like the listing. There was plenty of space for our family of 14. The house was located in a quiet neighborhood, about 30 min away from Wolf Creek Ski resort. There are a few minor things we would have liked to make our stay better like more comfortable seating in the living room area so the whole family can watch a movie together, TV's in the bedrooms, and the heating system can be a bit loud when it's on and makes the tv in living room hard to hear. The host was prompt in responding to a small kitchen mishap and sent out someone to come and fix it. Overall we would stay again and highly recommend this house with a great view of the river in the back.

Outstanding Ski Vacation Home!
I can't say enough great things about this property. First of all, the pictures don't do it justice ... every room is perfectly appointed and decorated for the dream winter vacation. Two master bedrooms downstairs with a 2rd large bedroom upstairs plus the bunk room. The kitchen was the most well-stocked of any VRBO that we've stayed in. Literally anything you could ever need is available. There was an abundance of towels (which is usually something that is limited at other properties). The views of the river in the back are breathtaking and the neighborhood is small, quiet and lovely. Others have mentioned the lack of blinds/window dressings but I think it's perfect waking up to those incredible views. South Fork was a great alternative to Pagosa Springs ... grocery stores in South Fork as well as Del Norte (just 10 mins away) provided everything we needed. And, we had an awesome dinner on NYE in Del Norte at Colorado Grille. Took the kids sledding in the city park in South Fork and they loved it. And, it's a shorter drive to the mountain for skiing & snowboarding. We will definitely consider this property for our next trip to Wolf Creek!

Loved it!!!
We were planning a ski trip at Wolf Creek and stayed here in South Fork…it was perfect!! The River in front was beautiful and so was the cabin itself! Lots of room and plenary of bedrooms! The bunk room upstairs was so awesome for the kids! Couldn’t ask for any better!!

Great family vacation cabin

Great place for visiting family
We really enjoyed staying here. We were in the area to visit family who live nearby and it was a great house to have them come visit us and spend time. The kids loved all the outdoor space and the River, even though we had a cold snap while we were there. The house was exactly as described. Thankfully we were aware from other reviews that there are no window coverings so we came prepared with sleep masks and had no problems. We would definitely rent again!

Wow! Super nice and CLEAN Cabin on the River
This was a great home for a large family. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Great launching point for hikes, mountain adventures and the Sand Dunes National Park. Definitely a five star property. Would absolutely stay here again! Tips that would make it better? 1) Blinds or window coverings for the bedrooms. 2) Toilets seemed to have weird issues periodically 3) Picnic table for the wonderful patio. The cabin is right on the river which is beautiful but be very mindful with children.

Incredible stay!
The Mighty Rio Grande was a beautiful sight! Easy access and the perfect soothing sound. Saw deer wandering through/by property everyday and a Canadian goose nesting by the river, soon to lay eggs! The cabin had a great layout and was most accommodating for our large family of 8. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Would love to return and very highly recommend. RJS

beautiful clean property on the river
This would be a great place for a family or group stay. It's large, very clean, and the location is really private and quiet, and the location right on the river was beautiful. only drawbacks: 1. water pressure in the Kitchen is basically a trickle. I remove the faucet head and that helped a little, but you basically can't wash dishes. 2. they only provide hand soap in the bathrooms, so make sure bring full compliment of toiletries. luckily I had a small backup, but we haven't rented a place in a long while that hasn't provided some basic hotel style soaps and shampoos. 3. the heat/air is crazy loud. the place was 50 degrees when we showed up late in the day and we had to run it into the night to try and bring the temp up... we woke up constantly all night the first night to the air blower, like trying to sleep on an airplane. Future nights we learned and turned the air off completely at night so we could sleep. But otherwise, we were really happy with the place, great location on the river (though be aware that there isn't much at all around, so pack your groceries), and the place was super clean with nice amenities.

Like new and clean
We enjoyed our stay at this house. It is a fairly new house and was clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen items. The only downside was not enough seating for lounging in the living room as a big group. Highly recommend this house and would stay here again.

This beautiful open concept log home was perfect for a multiple family ski trip. Stunning views of the River and plenty of room for the perfect entertainment setting. While we cooked in the stocked kitchen, the kids could play games as the men watched football. Would highly recommend.

Nice Property
This house has been recently renovated and everything is new. Two master suites and the bunk room make it perfect for a multi-family getaway. Kitchen is awesome. The house backs up to the Rio Grande River and is perfect for hanging out. Ski area is a 25 minute drive and South Fork has everything you need. Negatives: House had no window coverings anywhere. It didn't bother us, but it is odd. Heater is very loud, to such an extent that it is annoying, and didn't heat all that well so it ran constantly or we wore jackets inside. We would have liked to have more firewood. Overall, great house/location and I would rent again.

Beautiful home
We loved the location to everything. River looked and sounded amazing even though it was in a neighborhood! We were here between seasons so really enjoyed all the kitchen supplies...absolutely amazing how equipped it was! Note there not a lot of restaurants open this time of year but grilling with river view amazing. Only recommendation is have blinds or curtains over bedroom windows for privacy. Ping pong so fun! And mule deer walk right out back door. Definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful house, quiet neighborhood with only the sound of the river.
We vacationed with two other families at this beautiful home. Plenty of room for five adults and six kids. We loved gathering on the back patio and listening to the river. We tubed down the river from public access to the back of the property. Great vacation.

Wonderful Cabin!
The cabin was super clean and accommodated our family perfectly. We enjoyed eating breakfast and supper at the beautiful dining table and drinking coffee on the patio while listening to the river run. There was ample space to park our ORV trailers, and we are so glad we chose this cabin!
